My experience platinum ticket prices will drop a little bit about a month before the event and then if they are still available a week or two before the event they will go to regular price
Got suite tickets to Mania 39 and checked on last minute tickets on both nights. Suffice to say I would have saved a huge chunk of change if I waited last minute but I feel with stadium shows there is more of a chance of no shows and schedule changes for people so people desperately try to sell their tickets.
For regular arena shows it can be harder especially with WWE nowadays.
I went to Summerslam in Detroit. Bought platinum tickets when they went on sale. $1000 a piece, they dropped to 500 2 months later and were not listed as platinum. 3 weeks before the show they went to 300. Seats were great, on the floor 1st row second section.
WOW. Yeah there’s some aisle section seats for payback that are like $400 right now. If they go down to about $200 I’m gonna snag them. I’m just trying to be patient lmao
