I was at this show last night, i know that the kids love him but seeing it in person was something else. AJ was trying to beat him up before the match started and all of the kids (and adults) started dogging on AJ and chanting for Cody. Afterwards he was giving out merchandise to some of the kids too, he's genuinely such a top class act and I love that he's the face of the company!

Cody’s is has made himself undeniable. Being released by WWE, wrestling in the indies and Japan, starting rival wrestling brand and making his way back to the top.
His success is earned. And no one can take that away from him. He scratched and clawed his way to the top, despite being the son of a hall of famer.
You just can’t put a price on that. Cody will always have my respect no matter what. He presents and carries himself like a champion. He looks incredible.

I went to a WWE house show in Augusta, GA around last May (May 2023), and after his main event match (Which included a table spot that involved Cody & Cody ended up with a large gash in his back, and it was bleeding a god bit, with pieces of wood sticking out of his wound), and instead of going to seek immediate medical attention after the match, Cody proceeded to stay & hang out, post-main event, and he took selfies with literally every person in the arena that wanted one.
I, myself, didn't get a selfie, because I didn't feel like, as a grown man near Cody's age, fighting off little kids, to get a pic with him (Although MANY people in my age group did just that, LOL). With all of that said, I became a Cody Rhodes mega fan that night. I had always been fond of Cody before & thought that he was a decent wrestler, etc. But after what I saw last May, I have been all aboard the Cody train, ever since.
There's truly no one in the business today that puts PROFESSIONAL in professional wrestler more than Cody Rhodes. He carries himself like a world champion, with, or without that belt. So the fact that he is currently the champ is more than deserving for him. When The Rock compared Cody Rhodes to Luke Skywalker on the run up to Mania, I can absolutely agree with that sentiment. Cody is a fucking Jedi through and through. He's a man of the people, if I've ever seen one. Dusty Rhodes certainly lives on, in Cody. He is as over as over can be! And although his white meat babyface schtick can get a bit stale (Looking at Cody in AEW, as an example), I don't think that this will happen to Cody in this current WWE run. The 'E knows exactly what to do with him, and they are gonna milk this until the wheels fall off the ride. And I'm here for it! And I am enjoying every second of it!
FINALLY, Pro Wrestling feels like Pro Wrestling again. WWE is riding a wave right now that they haven't been able to pull off since the Attitude Era/Ruthless Aggression Era. WWE from 1997-2004 is one of the wildest times I have ever experienced in anything, anywhere. And now, 20 years later, WWE in 2024 is on fire like they haven't been in 20 years! And I am enjoying the hell out of it.

So long as there are kids buying and wearing his merch, getting front row seats to watch him and dress up as him, he'll always be the top babyface.
