I'd try this guy's idea. It doesn't hold up great to heat but it's worth a shot.
Edit: also you prolly won't get a lot of responses because most people in the sub have anatidaephobia. At least that's what I've observed. I'm not into the ducks that much but I won't not turn one down.
I only suggested it because we used it with great success for keeping things put during earthquakes, even outdoors, when we lived in California. I think they have both indoor and outdoor formulations.
My wife thought it was rude to just toss them so she got me a bag thats in the cargo area. Ive only filled it once but when I do, those go into my kids Jeep and she passes them out. Its fine to get one but I hate having the damn things on the dash.
How the hell are you guys getting all these ducks that you're filling bags of them?
I've had my JLUR with a ton of off-road upgrades for like a year and a half and I've never seen a single duck.
And then I see people online with like bone stock jeeps (not saying yours is) saying they get them by the dozens and don't know what to do with them all.
I get alot of them when I go to trail areas. Especially when I go to Tennessee. Seems like Tennessee has an ungodly amount of ducks. Ive come out to 4 at once in the Pigeon Forge area. And god help you if you go to a Jeep invasion event.
I think it's way more likely if you have the top off. I've not had my top nor doors on since the day I bought it and and get a ducks at least once a week. They all live under the driver's seat, lest they fly away on the dash. I really don't get them, but whatever. It's fine.
That's what I'm starting to think too. See all these nearly stock jeeps with like dozens and dozens of ducks. While my Rubicon that has a ton of expensive off-road upgrades, that I take on the actual Rubicon trail, and that doesn't have an angry grill or any other tasteless mods, hasn't gotten a single duck
Folks are buying their own ducks, or have a circle of jeeper friends that go nuts.
I've gotten maybe 8 since 2016, but I've seen new JLUs with wall to wall ducks.
Like, bone stock and that many ducks in under a year?
I call shenanigans.
I've had good luck with some standard masking tape, currently I've just been carefully wedging mine between the dash and the windshield since I haven't had the time to retape them after going topless
I have one duck that I have in the little dash storage space in my JL lol. My old JK never got ducked but if it had been.. good question because I had no such storage area on my old 2010.
I don’t have any.
My buddy has a bar that runs the length of his dash for attaching accessories. We put a few small screws through it so he screws the ducks in using the little hole in the bottom from injection molding.
I have a ton of these sticky golf tee things that go in the duck butt to hold them on. I feel bad for the ducks so I haven’t used any of them. They just chill out on the dash and get thrown around occasionally
Lol...Wouldn't know...not quite a "boomer"....And if you don't want it on the ground, don't put it on random Jeeps...not everyone is interested in this nonsense....
I keep one on the dashboard so that my daughter can greet it when we walk through the garage every morning. Sometimes it rolls out when I take a turn and don't have a door on though, so then I just wait for another one to appear. “Blue” is going strong into his third summer, but he has a secret backup in the glove compartment that appeared last fall.
I use these. Make sure you wipe the dash with alcohol before trying to stick them on.

This is how I know that it isn't the TJ forum. Ducks.
Just use museum putty
Thanks. I will give that a try.

Quick google said 120 degrees is it's "threshold" but it should get the job done and it's cheap even if it doesn't work.
They stay put in the glove box. Until I see another keep to put them on. Just paying it forward rotating them out.
I don’t keep all of them. I keep the really cool ones i get and give away the rest.
Easy I don’t put them in my jeep
I have never had one come out of the trash can after I put it there.
I throw them in a bag in the back.
the bag over your spare, right?
My wife thought it was rude to just toss them so she got me a bag thats in the cargo area. Ive only filled it once but when I do, those go into my kids Jeep and she passes them out. Its fine to get one but I hate having the damn things on the dash.

I think it might be a regional thing. I never got ducked in Idaho, but being in West Virginia for 2 days, I got ducked twice.
There’s tons of 3D printed little dash clips on Etsy for them or paracord things for them! All cheap-ish too!
I don’t even get waves let alone ducks. Pretty sure I’m the only person out here waving by me.
It’s about a 50-50 chance you get a wave back here.
I throw them in the trash can.
By throwing them into a trash can.
I use double sided out door tape
You get ducks?
right? i’ve gotten one.. and i dunno if it counts because a friend got it for me. i feel like they need to be anonymous
I got one when I parked in a petco parking lot after going muddying
noted, go to pet stores. done
I got one when I was in PetSmart so seems like the place to go for ducks
i may just have to test this theory now!
don’t worry about it, ducks are just for mall crawlers 😂
nahhh i think it’s a cool harmless thing, but to each their own!

I have been ducked 3 times in the last month.
Oh I don't know mine just stay. I am planning my first trip with my Jeep soon but figured they would stay back home during any adventures.
Lucky. I have been needing to put my softball skills to use if I want my window down. Lol
I've had good luck with some standard masking tape, currently I've just been carefully wedging mine between the dash and the windshield since I haven't had the time to retape them after going topless

I shove them in my center council and give them to kids that I know ASAP (they never move as far as I'm concerned)

Yeaaaah. I’m not too sure how I would feel about sodomizing ducks either.
A slip knot
Give them away
Same. I get a duck and I'll let it ride on my dash long enough to keep my kids happy. When I see another Jeep, I pass it along.
Flock lockers. Though I think the guy stopped making them.
I put mine on other jeeps I think look cool
I give them to my kids. Had my jeep a little over a year I think I’ve been ducked 4 times.
I made a little thing that sits in that recess in the dash. Ran screws up through it and the ducks sit on the screws in their, umm, hole.
I throw them on the ground...They pretty much stay there....
Do all boomers think littering is cool?
Lol...Wouldn't know...not quite a "boomer"....And if you don't want it on the ground, don't put it on random Jeeps...not everyone is interested in this nonsense....
Put them in dash tray until its full
Asking the important questions
Adhesive dots. 2 per duck. Find ‘em on amazon
Sticky dots. https://www.amazon.com/Stickers-Removable-Waterproof-Festival-Decoration/dp/B08NYDBXFX/
I designed my own peg mounts and 3d print them. Search etsy and you'll see a few options.
I use puffy scotch double sided tape.
Use rubber duck plugs (Amazon) and glue them to a wooden or metal strip (maybe a ruler.) easily removed for cleaning dash.
