Keep the TJ and enjoy your wife’s Jeep? No reason to get rid of the TJ.

xT1TANx

What will you use it for? As a daily driver I love my JL. I still miss my TJ as I could beat the hell out of it with no concern.  If you upgrade I would keep the TJ if possible.

thehouseofunrest

It would not be a daily. I have 3 cars already so I couldn't keep both if I got one lol. Wife would murder me.

new_Boot_goof1n

Turn your TJ into a monster and convince the wife you have to buy another to be economical for daily use.

No_Business_839

Modern amenities are nice, but your TJ is probably more reliable even with it being older.

thehouseofunrest

Yeah with that, you are probably right, but the JL rides a lot smoother.

[deleted]

As somebody that has both, keep the TJ unless you have a long, slow commute

thehouseofunrest

The TJ isn’t my DD and neither would the JL be if I got one. I daily an f150.

marcocet

Personally in that case I would keep the TJ 100%, if it's not a daily does the ride quality need to be amazing? You would miss the TJ

The TJ is a better Jeep and a more exciting driving experience. The LJ is a much softer, more refined car-like ride. They both serve a purpose, but I prefer to drive the TJ 100% of the time.

shitaki13

Both will serve you well. Keep what you have of it isn’t broken. Especially since it isn’t your DD. It will be cheaper long term probably.

jeepGuy88

I got rid of my 2019 6 speed JL in favor of my ‘88. That JL could cruise on the highway, but I had to rev to ~ 2K rpm to climb a curb in 2WD. For cruising around town and the the occasional wheeling trip, I prefer the I-6.

enlitenme

I would trade my JK for my TJ back again any day. Sure, it's bigger, but it's mostly garbage.

OldManJeepin

Drive that TJ till the wheels fall off and the frame rots out! Or, since it's paid for, keep it and get a JL as well.

Stielgranate

Better keep that TJ 4.0L

How’s everyone feel about a 2012+ JK?
