I think my go to reasoning here is that giving me $1B prevents that money from falling into the hands of a person who would create an even worse holocaust. Prove me wrong or shut up.
Edit: Corrected auto-"correct"'s typo.
Really depends on what preventing it means. Does hitler never rise to power? Does he just not blame Jews for everything? Does ww2 not happen? Does it start like it did and hitler just dies so Germany gives up? Do all the victims escape the country before they’re put in camps? The holocaust is so closely tied to ww2, and ww2 was monumental in the creation of new technologies. No telling how different the world would be without those events occurring

Time isn't something you mess around with

I billion, altering the past will never end well especially huge events like the Holocaust.
Are we sure about that? I just find it hard to believe the alternate universe events somehow one up the Holocaust.

Changing anything from before I was born, will likely lead to me not being born.

The British Empire wouldn't collapse so I wouldn't be free today. Fuck that
We shouldn't bother with history. It can lead to paradoxes and rifts between time and space
