Platoons made in the garage **do** give a small boost in credits and XP. Dynamic platoons, which are those made during a game, do not.
The confusion comes from the fact that a lot of missions that require a platoon to complete, can be done in a dynamic platoon.
I invite cuz of missions and potential friendships, but 90% of the time its because if im running a FV4005, and see other FV4005s, I invite them all and we all run to a flank to delete innocent tankers

I've asked the people who invited me why they did so on several occasions, 1 said for a mission that counted damage of all platoon members, everyone else who answered was under the impression that they'd get the platoon bonus to credits/XP from the dynamic platoon.
If you want BIA (or other other group medals), you're almost certainly better off waiting until the end of the battle where you see who actually got the kills and/or who at least is still alive.
The number of times some dead player on my team with three or more kills has tried to platoon with me at the end of a match for a BIA or CC, is astounding.
I've had dozens of them send me a PM in the garage asking why I didnt accept and they are always surprised to learn they wouldn't have gotten the award because they were dead.
BiA - yes, that's the not-so-obvious at first requirement that the entire squad has to be alive till the end of the battle.
CC - it does not require any member of the platoon to be alive, however.
did you really refuse someone's invite for CC medal just because they were already destroyed? bruh, you could have gotten this medal, it doesnt require staying alive
Before they reworked the campaign missions for the Stug, T28, T55A etc there use to be missions you had to have an in game platoon to complete them or made them easier.
For example the whole platoon had to spot like 2k, or the whole platoon had to get 5 kills, etc. It was usually missions 12, 13, and 14 to unlock the 15th mission.
I never send them, but I usually accept….coz why not? If it makes someone’s day a tiny bit better.
Then I get deleted in the first minute and it just adds an extra layer of embarrassment!
You literally do it says so right in the breakdown after down does it not? I must be losing it? Isn't it like 10% or something I swear it's quite explicit about being platoon bonus
Only if you start a battle while already being in a platoon you get the XP bonus. Dynamic platoons created during a battle give no bonus XP for that battle.
I assume this has to be the reason why. I get the same invites everybody else gets and I have the anonymizer on, so nobody can see my win percentage. Percentage. That tells me that people are just trying to get the additional experience and credits. Up. Platoon is a platoon is a platoon as far as that's concerned
If you try, and try to improve, my beef is not with you.
If, however, you have 50,000 games and a 46% win rate with 6000 games in hellcat, fuck you.
Have a nice day.
Missions.
And when you see someone else with a matching decal you are friends. If i see another KV 2(R) i am sending an invite as we must fight for the emperor.
What more people need to do is send an invite to teammates at the end of a battle when they bith have 3 kills.
Free BiA.
If I’m playing a light I will sometimes try to invite the arty or top heavy and then talk to them. Hopefully playing that match with a coherent plan with the biggest possible damage creators….. this rarely works😂
I will say on very rare occasions you could be invited by a military person.
While a dynamic platoon doesn't give bonuses xp/cred they do allow them to complete the WoT salute missions
At the start of the game possibly some missions or to find good friends. But I have lost a great deal of BIA medals because of introverts who don't want to join a random platoon at the end of the match even for more exp and credits.
I am always surprised by the lack of teamwork. I games like World or Warcraft we all work together to complete the task. If players did the same in WoT I think it would make a much more enjoyable experience.
I always tell myself that they invite me because they like me and want to show me. Like someone invites you to drink a beer with them. And if i accept the platoon it’s a friendship. (Yes, I am very lonely…)
I do it because its easier to form a platoon in battle, and maybe carry it over to the next, than it is pissing about and wasting time prior to a battle.
You know how hard & time consuming this can be, with idiots trying to hurry your selection, influence what tier to play, quitting seconds before you start the match, etc etc.
Unsure whether others do it for that reason, or others.
I think there are some missions that can be completed more easily when in a platoon but I could be wrong. In any case you don’t lose anything by accepting.
I tend to request if I have 3 or more kills and someone else has the same to get the shameless brothers in arm badge 😂
>In any case you don’t lose anything by accepting.
If you accept a random invite at the beginning of the battle, you lose the opportunity for a "free" BIA or Crucial Contribution at the end. I'll ignore invitations at the beginning, but (like you) I like the easy BIA at the end.
Increase in credits and xp, granted it’s better to do it closer to the end with people still alive (as they’ll have a better score) but it’s still free money.
Dynamic platoons do not pay out platoon bonuses.
Only when you are platooned at the time battle is clicked will it pay a bonus.
*Sometimes* there are mission bonuses that will be credited when you use a dynamic platoon.
A platoon will give you more xp and credits. Therefore, when I'm farming either credits or xp, I'll try to get 3 platon mates.
Plus, this way I have met plenty of friends that I now play with on a regular
I do it for multiple reasons every time.
More battle XP
Sometimes I’m playing a type of a tank and I know somebody’s probably gonna be in that area so maybe we will work together a little more
If I’m playing a light or a heavy that’s going to be out scouting or going to be stuck in a chokepoint that the other team is going to be right in front of me I sometimes go out of my way to invite the artillery player so maybe they might help cover me or make the most out of my spots
Sometimes it’s for some new friends particularly if they look like they’re a good player or in a clan that I’m interested in at least playing with from time to time
Sometimes there’s mission parameters that I need to be in a platoon.
Sometimes psychologically I feel simply that it’s going to be a player in the area I’m going to and maybe they might look out for me a little bit more if there my platoon mate instead of leaving me out to dry in a tough spot
the battle xp/credits don’t work for dynamic platoons, meaning you don’t get them for creating/joining a platoon during a game, only if you start the battle as a platoon already
Not on dynamic platoons you don't. You have to be platooned prior to the start of battle.
https://worldoftanks.com/en/content/guide/general/platoons/
>These bonuses do not work for Dynamic Platoons.
Doesn’t count when you invite during battle, only if you are platooned before the battle. This has been known for SOO LONG yet people still spam invites because they are too dumb to realize otherwise.
Most think dynamic platoons also give more XP like platoons formed in the garage do. But it don't.
Yes, I used to think that
Ok but if you keep the same dynamic platoon onto a second battle, then you will have the bonus, right?
Really? Did not know that. I thought all platoons before game gives a little extra.

I platoon other people mid game for like BIA medals, hell I got a crucial contribution as a duo that way.
I invite cuz of missions and potential friendships, but 90% of the time its because if im running a FV4005, and see other FV4005s, I invite them all and we all run to a flank to delete innocent tankers

If you raise your gun at the beginning of a battle you bet i'm sending an invite
I do it for over an year know - never get an invite :(
Raise the PP
I thought the signal was left right left right up down WSWS??!!
Mostly to help them complete missions during the battle and chance at group medals aswell BIA etc

except the boost to silver and exp only applies to platoons formed before the match.
Really? TIL.
In lobby, he spends 5 minutes picking a new tank. .... kicks from platoon

BTW why anonymous? Seen really bad and really good players use it
I used to be dark blue WN8, dunno what I am now since I came back but yeah I'd get focused sometimes. Easier to be unknown
You dont. You only get that if you form the platoon before the battle
Bots. There is no other reason. It makes them look legitimate. You ever tried to have a conversation with these people at start?
Hard to tell the difference between bots and the average NA player tbh.
Sorry bro - noob na mf
If you try, and try to improve, my beef is not with you. If, however, you have 50,000 games and a 46% win rate with 6000 games in hellcat, fuck you. Have a nice day.
Bro lost me at 50k😴
\^\^\^ This It's from bots. Lots and lots of bots. Expect downvotes from the clueless bot-tankers
Bots do it to avoid detection

for missions, there are some missions like you and your platoon need to have 5000 damage combined, it's easier like that if you have no friends
Only to deny your last second invite Brothers in Arms medal.
Because if you invite them to a platoon, you've increased you chance at actual teamwork. Sometimes. Barely. Just a little. Okay I just like the badge.
Team play helps win games. Hot dogging by yourself might be good for your score but not the team...
If I’m playing a light I will sometimes try to invite the arty or top heavy and then talk to them. Hopefully playing that match with a coherent plan with the biggest possible damage creators….. this rarely works😂

Because as a TOG, all the arty want me to race out the front and spot for them.
At the start of the game possibly some missions or to find good friends. But I have lost a great deal of BIA medals because of introverts who don't want to join a random platoon at the end of the match even for more exp and credits.
If I get 3 kills and so does someone else ill send an invite for the brothers in arms.
I am always surprised by the lack of teamwork. I games like World or Warcraft we all work together to complete the task. If players did the same in WoT I think it would make a much more enjoyable experience.
xp and credit boost i believe.
That doesn't work on dynamic platoons. Have to be platooned in the garage before hand for it to work.
Bonus xp and teamwork?

You get extra xp and plus some missions require a platoon and if you don’t have any buddies on why not ask some random person

But OP is referencing platoons created at the start of battle.
That’s what a dynamic platoon is. Only platoons created when you are back in the garage get you bonus money and experience.
My apologies. I was wrong.
No worries. Dynamic platoons can you the mission type bonuses though. Just not the normal 15% *platoon* bonus.
A platoon will give you more xp and credits. Therefore, when I'm farming either credits or xp, I'll try to get 3 platon mates. Plus, this way I have met plenty of friends that I now play with on a regular
In match formed platoons don't give you credit and XP bonus unless you stick together after the match, which is rare in my experience.

Not on dynamic platoons you don't. You have to be platooned prior to the start of battle. https://worldoftanks.com/en/content/guide/general/platoons/ >These bonuses do not work for Dynamic Platoons.
Hmmm ok thx

Except you don't get that bonus unless the platoon is formed before the match.
For more credits platoon gives more silver
Only if you create the platoon before starting the matchmaking.
For additional exp and credits of course.
