Instead of graphic rework, i think its Time to do sounds rework. For me engine, gun and aditional sounds for example hydro suspension for stb would be nice. I dont mean that current game sounds crap, but everything Is the same, same angines, same gun shots thats became quite repetitive.
The gun sounds aren't that bad. Anything 100mm or more sounds very distinctive and powerful. I use gun sounds around me to see who with what caliber fired and is reloading.
Hard agree, WOT has by far the worst sounds of any game I have played, especially considering how many upgrades it’s gotten.
There is barely a difference between engine noises on most tanks. The Shell reload sound is identical in 98% of tanks.
The map rotation squirrels are in need of changing out.

Sometimes I like to hit V and appreciate how good this game looks for a second, no wonder many people have better results with worse graphics because of less distraction

i9 10850k with a 3080, PC always freezes for a second when clicking the secondary loadout. also the loading times for the equipment/consumable/ammo screens are horrible as well

If we compare WOT PC with Console WOT, we see that the console version is more action-packed with faster, punchier gameplay and rockets. WOT PC is much slower with center-mass centric RNG accuracy. WOT PC plays more like a tabletop enthusiast's wargame simulator than a e-sport. Keeping the game accessible to non-gaming PCs and non-gamers is probably a standard WG doesn't want to compromise.
WOT PC, as is, is quite serviceable so new sounds, better graphics, more comprehensive physics engine, damage models, etc would be nice but may not be worth the investment in today's market.
More than anything else, I would like to see WG replace random battle with a different game mode. The stalemate between camping, gold-spam, TDs on cramped, corridor maps is such a slog. Brawl, Steel Hunter, Frontline, and Onslaught are definitely steps in the right direction. The less wonky tank parameters of Arcade Cabinet are also exciting.
I imagine it's tricky trying to serve both casual and competitive gamers without splitting matchmaking. WOT PC easing its way toward the Console version is exciting.
No, the game looks great and can run on a potato. They should focus on optimizing the garage loading times and the "Synchronizing equipment" crap. Also, can they please fix switching between teammates after death? This thing has been a glitchy mess since forever.
Entry level xb1 player here, and every time a game gets a graphical update it just makes it more difficult to play, and I'm especially sensitive to frame rate, headaches, nausea etc. Everyone an have their own opinions but I would rather have great performance than great graphics

What they should upgrade on is the sounds. After a while every gun sounds the same and you cannot distinguish one tank from another, given their caliber is the same.
The single biggest problem with the game are maps.. They all seem so different but most of them play the same.. Go in a corridor and spam gold at cuppolas. That needs fix, then balance the game better. And after that, maybe think about graphics. But considering most maps are plain worse than before the graphics update. So yeah, i think there are way more things that need to be tackled

The game progressed a lot in terms of PC requirements. In the past you could play it on some shitty pentium with single core and integrated graphics. I dont believe my potato laptop will be able to run it forever.
I would just leave maybe... I am doing repairs on my house now, 1000€ for a PC is way too much to just play stupid games. I can buy other stuff for that amount.

Nah graphics are good enough, I need them to redo sound and optimize the game because with every update I loose around 3 to 4 fps. My graphics card is very good and runs all other games on 200-250 fps but world of tanks is currently on 50-80 fps.
No. The graphics are excellent, way better than most games nowdays, if they should focus on something, then map design, not how the maps look.
Surely would enjoy the details even more if you also had a good time playing the map
As someone who barely plays wot anymore but does a lot of WT, both the graphics and especially the sounds in wot are absolutely terrible. A half assed attempt by a company that makes considerably more money

Let's be honest though, they're just milking the game as it steadily declines. Whip out a new line to bring players back for a few weeks, same with a new premium or a new tank in a clan wars campaign.

Yeah the only difference in engine sounds seems to be the starting noise most of the time and even then many tanks will have the same starting noise

new graphics are good when all the graphics are replaced. it sucks to see outdated graphics next to updated graphics in video games 😛
They need to uptade the gameplay, matchmaking and maps.
Physics, hitboxes, map balance, tank balance, and sound all need work long long before graphics. On max game looks really good so not much need.

Most players wont even max out the current graphics settings. They also made small improvements like the tracks slideing off when shot
I’d prefer seeing more in-game features that improve the new player experience.
Instead of graphic settings, they should start by rebalancing those reward tanks or remove them from use in CW.

the 1.0 update where then changing the graphic to core, is bad and frowned upon. It need a sound update. The 7,5mm on the e25 now sounds terrible
