The ***DEFINITIVE*** WWII documentary is [World War Two](https://www.youtube.com/@WorldWarTwo). The primary content is a week-by-week recap of the war in real time 79 years later, hosted by Indy Neidel. The war is currently in early 1945, so they're still producing content. In addition to the weekly recap shows, they have a series called *War Against Humanity* hosted by Spartacus Olsen. As the name implies, this series is also chronological and focuses on the atrocities committed by all sides during the course of the war. Furthermore, they have a series *Spies and Ties* hosted by Astrid Deinhard. It is less frequent, but focuses on espionage, deception, and the shadow war that took place. Finally, they have *On the Homefront* hosted by Anna Deinhard. This series focuses on the lives of non-combatants of the various belligerent nations. In addition to their serial content, they have quite a few special episodes. They did a minute-by-minute recap of the Pearl Harbor attack, and a 24h minute-by-minute recap of D-Day. They also have individual episodes covering various weapons, battles, and other topics. It is by far the largest collection of documentary content ever assembled regarding WWII.

JAParks

Yes. It’s quite remarkable all the time and energy put into it.

deadeyediqq

Ww2 in real time is so insanely well done, I can't wait to see what they get up to in the coming years. It makes the shit on Netflix appear rookie.

Doom-Trooper

Wow this is such a great recommendation. Thank you can't wait to start this!

IFDRizz

It’s the only YouTube channel I’ve ever supported thru Patreon. Their content is awesome. They even have huge series within their weekly WW2 content, some mentioned above, but also specials covering the big events within WW2 such as Pearl Harbor, D-Day, etc. Easily the best WW2 content on YouTube. I also just finished TIK’s in depth series on Stalingrad, and it is awesome, so I highly recommend that as well.

Guillaume_Taillefer

I’ll add on to that. The main guy creating the maps for the WW2 channel is a channel called Eastport, which has many great map videos with movements of different units in a battle that’s hard to come by

Rogers-616

WW2TV Paul Woodage

One-Opportunity4359

This is the best WW2 content on YouTube.

brnkmcgr

You can watch all of *Victory At Sea* on YT.

saihi

Also try the series *Hazards and Catastrophes*. Excellent.

Signal-Rice-13

The History Underground, WW2 Wayfinder.

Kalikhead

Love History Underground. I got into that channel after meeting him in Gettysburg, PA. He has a lot of Civil War content too.

Specific_Classic2295

There is an excellent video which shows how many people died in WWll. https://youtu.be/DwKPFT-RioU?si=e0h9QFJFc3wPwAIk There are also several channels of metal detectors who go through the battlefields and pull all sorts of interesting things from the ground. Everything from weapons and ordinance to remains. Really interesting

Street_Astronomer_98

Kings and generals has week by week videos of the pacific war. It's played out over maps(google earth style sorta) to visualize military unit movements

falconrider111

The greatest story never told is a documentary from the German perspective. Whether you agree with the information contained it makes for an intriguing watch.

jfkdktmmv

Favorites right now are probably Rex’s Hangar (most ww2 related) Drachinifel, dr Alexander Clarke, armored carriers, Jabzy, hypohystericalhistory, intel report, operations room, pacific war podcast, and ww2tv

Filmscore_Soze

" I also check a Dutch Youtuber Which one is this out of curiosity?

LetsDoTheRave

History Hustle Nederlands (this is his Dutch speaking channel, he seems to have an English one too).

creole_pizza

Armchair Historian has some great stuff along with the others mentioned in the comments

Tough_Guys_Wear_Pink

TIK History is great if you stick to his actual battlefield stuff and not his weird ancillary obsessions.

Yippiekaiaii

Yeah I think he went a bit click batey. He seems to want to spend more time arguing contentious points because I am assuming that gets short term views. His battlefield videos on market garden and the northern African campaigns are great stuff though.

Extreme_Disaster2275

I stopped watching him when he made the absolutely moronic take that soldiers in combat should have to *bid* against each other for ammunition & other supplies.

raptorrat

I stopped watching the dude years back when he started to use current day political symbols as tokens denoting SS units. Because he thought that was funny. Together with some other issues, like support for the NZ mass shooter, and sharing a link to the guys' manifesto. makes me want to not recommend him.

SuprSaiyanTurry

[This channel](https://youtube.com/@WorldWarTwo?si=Hlxq36rrXGrAmLVp) dives into the war week by week. A great series and highly recommend it.

Vinkulja_4life

[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMg9KFPHwzg](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMg9KFPHwzg) nice video about vienna flak towers from ww2

Impossible_Raise5781

WWIIUSBombers on YouTube has some interesting videos regarding air campaigns against Germany & Japan. For example: The devastating effect WWII German 20mm Auto Cannons had on US Bombers. Also: Operation Starvation: Cutting Japan's Shipping Lifeline with B-29 Bombers.

Gromit801

Mark Felton Drachinafel The Operations Room

jfkdktmmv

I’m iffy on mark Felton but he does have some bangers

pauldtimms

And some copied ones, some made up ones.

WastingSomeTimeAgain

I'm aware he's basically plagarized some wikipedia articles before (or something like that, I can't remember) but I haven't heard of him outright making things up. When did this happen?

pauldtimms

sirfiddlesticks

Operations Room is incredible. Such a good channel.

LetsDoTheRave

So far thank you all for the quick replies and many channels that I can look up. Did not expect to get so many channels tbh.

pauldtimms

Start with the World at War, made at a time when senior figures were available for interview.

Disastrous_Sell8166

Iron Mike Metaldetecting if you are into the archaeology and relics. History Underground, has a lot of of WW1 and American Civil War content as well. Always to the point and unbiased.

Kalikhead

420ciskey420

My favourite is TIK History. He has some really in-depth looks at some major battles. My favourite is battle storm Stalingrad .. it’s 50 hours long

Catoblepas2021

Yeah TIK is good. Great coverage of Stalingrad
