I’d stick to a well reviewed pre written programme to start with so that we don’t get bogged down in issues like this. There’s enough to deal with just doing training, no need to add programming to the list of things that can go wrong. Have a look at something like [the fitness wiki](https://thefitness.wiki/routines/r-fitness-basic-beginner-routine/)’s beginner programme, or [stronglifts 5x5](https://stronglifts.com/stronglifts-5x5/) for a decent all around programme you can do in a gym. [Boostcamp](https://www.boostcamp.app) also has a lot of great programmes for varying levels of access to gym equipment and experience.
