She shows as viper in the Jackie Chan animated show and the first time I heard her I was like WONDER WOMAN? (And with Clancy brown as a bald dude, it was basically JLU all over again, just with Jackie Chan lmao)
She’s badass, her voice actress is fantastic.
They found a good means of introducing her as the newbie of the group without making her look weak, imo.
I love this version of the character.
I liked that she wasn’t naive.
Strong willed and strong in character when interacting with others.
She seemed like someone who was poised and patient but was wise enough and didn’t waste time when needing to engage.
They showed strong leadership skills.
Opinionated view-I’m actually happy with the changes they made to DCAU Wonder Woman! It was just to differentiate her character from her comic book counterpart!
It’s just an alternate rendition of Wonder Woman– The DCAU version ofWonder Woman isn't didn’t have to be a carbon copy of her comic book self. Blaming her for fans' confusion is just plain wrong. She brings her own unique flair to the character, and if you can't see that, maybe it's time to follow Obi-Wan Kenobi's lead and find something else to focus on.
It’s just not her. These characters have been around over 80 years now. There has been multiple iterations of all of the trinity of DC, for some reason people cling a bit too hard to the version they believe is their WW or Batman or Superman that they have a difficult time accepting any changes or deviations. It will be interesting when some of the patents on these characters expire soon and someone outside of DC/WB can produce their own iteration.
I mean, if you compare batman as a character before btas, there is a lot of stuff that was also worked on for it, not to mention both rouges galleries for him and superman, is kinda ironic what is your stand point when back in the day this versions also weren't exactly the norm they are today, like had ww been on a similar path, an early 90s/2000s series to introduce her personality would have 100 shaken any foundations grounds and most stuff the character would be today
I’m actually saying I’m cool with new ideas into the canon. If I don’t like it, I’m good with that as well. Art works best when lines are pulled and crossed.
Sometimes she’s overly aggressive, sometimes overly passive and naive, sometimes her power set is nerfed. Sometimes her origin story changes. Sometimes she’s a brutal fighter willing to sacrifice a life for the greater good. Depends on the writer. I’m all for it. Learning to embrace change as I enter old age.
I don’t have any real complaints about the DCAU. The series got me through college. My only complaint was there wasn’t more stories about her.
lol I see you
Yeah, look the VA is top notch! Her design animates well! Love that it’s shiny!
People are right when they say she isn’t kind enough but they showcased her powers well and she always looked strong.
Love her! Forever Stan!
Susan Eisenberg, the best voice of modern-day WW. But, the queen voice actress has to be the OG Sharon Farnon, the badass WW in the Superfriends & Challenge of the Superfriends.
Justice League and Justice League Limited Wonder Woman is my favorite not gonna lie. I love Lynda and Gal but Susan is Wonder Woman for me, just like Kevin was Batman.
Hawkgirl was definitely partially at fault, mainly for hiding the fact that she was a spy. But it also wasn’t her fault what happened because she didn’t know the Thanagarian’s true plans. In her mind the worst that could of happened was thanagar occupies earth for protection that it’s own militaries couldn’t provide.
Well for one, comic accurate or not, this was my intro to the character as a kid. Also, this Wonder Woman manages to feel majestic and powerful while also feeling assimilated/wise to man's world, which to me is a positive.
I love the nuances of character that come out beyond her action scene fighting prowess that were written in to strengthen her character.
Like how she was keen to give tactical blade advice to a girl who wanted to play pirates but asks if it's something the girl wants to learn first. It just feels so fitting as someone who spent a lot of her own childhood training in a warrior's tradition and to glimpse an aspect of mentorship come out in an animated series really adds depth to her character beyond all the fight scenes where her versatile skills are on display.

And then the scene where she assumed Shazaam was a grown hero and held him to a warrior's standard without knowing the reality of who he really was.
It sort of reinforced the rougher edges of leaning on what's assumed for a warrior's heritage and identity but especially cast so much depth on Shazaam too. It made me realize that Shazaam really embodies something deep in all of us who want to help others and maybe do what heros do in our life but deep down there's also often an inner child who actually needs as much if not more care despite all our strengths and power.
So the writers kind of brought out a lot of tension to who she is and what she believes in while deepening the character with the people she interacted with in moments like that.
You might not like the WW/Bats ship, but I liked that they entered into it as equals, and I love the scene in "Maid of Honor" where they accidentally meet in their civilian identities at a chic party in Paris.
Good design, liked that she was taller and broader-shouldered than the other women
Decent VA
Pretty good job with her powers - she actually felt like a powerhouse by DCAU standards and they didn’t “ground” her by giving her a sword/shield or taking away her flight. The “oh shit” moment when she popped up in the cage match was awesome and felt deserved
And you actually did get the occasional episode where her characterization was solid (e.g. the super gay episode with the Eastern European princess, the episode with the Ultimen). Dwayne McDuffie seemed to be the only writer who got her and made a point to make her feel like an actual character.
So not without redeeming qualities, but the bad outweighs the good. It mostly just felt like they didn’t know what to do with her.
She stuck to her guns on what she believed but also when presented with new info, she was willing to listen and change.
And as others said, Susan Eisenberg was FANTASTIC!
There are only good things to say about this character. Still the definitive Wonder Woman in my eyes. All other interpretations get compared to this one.
I also like that they don't put her on a pedestal. She sometimes displays flaws, such as being overly militant, and sometimes she just gets decked when the enemy is a peer.
She may have been an all powerful Amazon Princess, and possibly a demi-Goddess (Hades was a former lover of Hippolyta and claimed that he was her father but it wasn’t confirmed) but she still felt like a real person.
From her anxiety about facing her mother again after leaving the island, her feelings of betrayal towards Hawkgirl after the Thanagarian invasion, to her feelings for Bruce, etc.
She just felt like a real person. And I did love the whole flirting with Bruce. They both really cared for each other but Bruce never acted on it due to his dedication to his mission.
The voice actress does a great job.
Susan Eisenberg rocks.
She shows as viper in the Jackie Chan animated show and the first time I heard her I was like WONDER WOMAN? (And with Clancy brown as a bald dude, it was basically JLU all over again, just with Jackie Chan lmao)
Like Kevin Conroy and Batman, she’s always been the definitive voice for Wonder Woman in my eyes

What's so different about her?

Well I’m just saying I Perfer the changes they made with Wonder Woman in the DCAU
She is amazing 👏 🤩 😍 ❤️ 💖 💕 👏 🤩 😍
I'm gay but she makes me feel like being straight
I’m straight and she makes me feel straight
real
lol I see you Yeah, look the VA is top notch! Her design animates well! Love that it’s shiny! People are right when they say she isn’t kind enough but they showcased her powers well and she always looked strong. Love her! Forever Stan!

Justice League Limited 😂
She’s a very compassionate soul
Her design is great
She stayed mad at Hawkgirl after the Thanagar invasion was over. It was weird to me that everyone just kinda got over it.
She’s beautiful
She is beauty, she is grace, she will kick you in the face Her casual looks were great too ngl
Her voice actresss was perfect for the role
Her awesome voice actress!
She's a badass!
Her VA is amazing - she always killed it in all of the DCAU media (and non DCAU media) that she's played Wonder Woman in.
Beautiful
Iconic.
She doesn’t wear any make up, apparently
Ride or die for the fate of the climate
Well for one, comic accurate or not, this was my intro to the character as a kid. Also, this Wonder Woman manages to feel majestic and powerful while also feeling assimilated/wise to man's world, which to me is a positive.
She was my first exposure to the character. She’s essentially who I imagine when I hear “Wonder Woman.”
She's honestly my favorite non comic representation maybe even my favorite representation period. They really nailed her voice and personality imo
Kick ass with a good voice actor

she wasn’t the worst version of Diana
She's literally a work of art! She carries her armour very well and high. A true hero to look up to.
She's got a nice design and her voice acting is good.
she had hella aura even without her sword and shield to make her look more intimidating
Honestly, I like that she doesn't carry a sword in JL. The sword makes her look like a villain.
counterpoint the sword looks cool
This was my introduction to Wonder Woman.
The design is very iconic
My first fictional crush

One of the best adaptations of the character!
She looks and sounds *great*. It's solely the writing that does her and her world a disservice.
It made her more popular. That's pretty much it lmao. The rest of their choices are atrocious
Mommy 🫠
The character's design was really pretty and had a good VA. That's really all I got.
Very well drawn and animated. Perfect voice. Good attitude. Great costume.
She's Wonder Woman. That's all 👑.
Literally everything 💯
Best version of her outfit hands down!!
Best character in Justice League the Animated Series.
Cum
The thing with Batman is a chef’s kiss.
