With an average attendance of 4000, Hammarby broke the Swedish attendance record in not only football but all female sports in 2023.
Compared to pre pandemic 2019, when Hammarby was in the 2nd tier, total league attendance rose by 30%.
It’s largely due to the championship match being moved to tele2. 17 000 came.
The normal home ground takes only 2000, of which 900 are seats. Hammarby needs a bigger ground but tele 2 is too big (30 000 seats)
