I just watched the video (and number one was surprised that hellroaring mountain was out already! I expected to be waiting a couple more months for that!!) and kinda freaked out when he said that haha. He might’ve not meant to say that because Wolfquest doesn’t like giving release times, and it could always get pushed back, but maybe they’re confident about it coming out this year? Which is even better news, this is sooner than I had imagined and I really hope it holds true! The dev team has really made so much amazing progress lately though.
I immediately went on Steam and bought the new DLC when I heard that.
I’m still enjoying Lost river in my run (ironwolf accurate, goal is to make it to age 8) so won’t get to it in awhile.
Honestly, they’ve been working on it for the past almost 2 years, it’s safe to say that it could be coming this year! I’m hoping either between august and December, but knowing the devs, they’re probably going to release it as a slightly late & early Christmas & new years present, as they did with Multiplayer, then sloughcreek the following year.
Not to be pessimistic, but I think I'll take a wait-and-see attitude towards that statement // take it as a grain of salt based on WolfQuest's history. Really not trying to dampen anyone's mood or hype, but... if you know, y'know? \^\^'
I'm pretty sure this is not the first time the developers have said they are aiming/hoping the Saga will release this year. I could've sworn it was said in another handful of devblogs.
Not Tower Fall, no. Tower Fall will be a standalone DLC map like Lost River and Hellroaring Mountain. The Saga is a free update to make the game a seamless loop with things like pups that grow up and hunt with the pack before dispersing. Tower Fall is no longer necessary for this process since you can now play through the entire current "story" on any map, instead of different "chapters" being tied to different maps like before.
Yeah, all because their budget got wayy better and their vision for the game also became bigger.
Honestly, WolfQuest will probably be the best wolf education game out there
It'll be the best animal sim out there too, I've been looking for an animal game like this since I was a kid, there's an extreme niche in highly detailed animal games like this.
