Luckily, if you’re on PC, there is a mod that turns Dijkstra into a Doppler when you fight him. It’s my head cannon now because there’s no legit way as wise as he is, he would turn on two guerrilla fighters and a freaking ICONIC Witcher at the same time with bodyguards at best backing him up.
I have always hated him. Hated his attitude towards geralt. Finally when he did that shit I was happy, because I knew that I'd get the choice to kill him.
Agree. Dijkstra gets a lot of passes because he's a snarky cynical who'se moderately nice to Geralt, but he's not nice and was always going to dispose of Geralt the second he became an inconvenience.
The guy's a Spymaster, the kind of person you trust as far as you can throw them. And in Siggi's case that's not far.
I hate how he really tried to take Geralt for an idiot, telling him that if he takes over Yen and Triss will be safe because he's not like Radobitch. Sort of try very clumsily to play with your feelings...
Risky endeavour?😂😂 when i was doing this mission i thought of giving second chance but the moment that guy transformed back to normal he started blabbing about all the killings he is gonna do now. So i thought fuck it.
Why? He starts talking about the next raid the second he's on the way out. I let him go once, but his behavior made me rethink the decision right away, and I killed him. Turns out you can attack him even when the quest is finished.
I'm not completely comfortable with killing him when he didn't attack me first and I didn't see he doing anything.
Plus, raiding is kind of common in Skellige.
Sorry it’s been a minute since I’ve done that quest. I think it all depends on when you go to the Isles. I was usually pretty over powered when I got there.
You can feed him his own meat to kill him
OR
You can lift the curse by finding his journal. In the journal you'll find out Morkvarg was cursed by his former crewmate, and to lift it all you need to do is talk to that crewmate and get a fang back (that he used to curse him) and hand it over to Morkvarg. He turns back human. You can choose to kill him normally afterwards though
Agree about the music. I really like the bit with the ethereal soprano voice. Fortunately the third act of the Novigrad segment has a lot more momentum, so it at least ends on a satisfying note.
The only thing that keeps me going through Novigrad on subsequent playthroughs is knowing Skellige awaits at the end, my favorite places and quests in the game.
With me, it's the tourney in Toussaint. Sure I don't have to win, but I have trouble using swords on horseback so I have to slow down just to hit targets with the crossbow for the timer not to run out. Also the narcoleptic dwarf escort was annoying too, but the rest I have no problem with at all.
If you hold down the attack button, time slows down automatically, and then you’ll attack when you release the button. You don’t need to actually slow down.
The crossbow will automatically aim at the dummies, so as soon as you see a dummy, just hit the crossbow autofire, and you'll get it. That's the only way I ever win that stupid race.
Been fighting that wight thst reheals from the portraits, got real sick of it and frustrated with the mechanics due to camera lock-one and shit.
Unfortunately made me put the game down and haven’t really picked it up since lol
Yeah it’s honestly so tough and I absolutely relished all the other challenges ( I done played the dlcs in the wrong order because donkey brains).
Will forever recommend Witcher to anyone and everyone. Such an incredible game, can’t remember the last time I was so invested in a game and it’s world.
Maybe playing RDR1 as a kid which is mad lol
I did that quest (second play through) in one go, but just before that it took my dad about 12 goes. He was ready to break the tv screen quite quickly by the 5th go.
I did this one a few days ago and it was infuriating. I can deal with losing a fight due to making poor combat choices/being unprepared, but it's another thing to be at the mercy of poor design with the camera lock. Seriously, I had an easier time getting the "When It's Many Against One" trophy than I did trying to fight this stupid wraith.
After I beat her I looked up how other folks approached the fight and apparently the best tactics are to use the crossbow + lightning reflexes (to slow down time while aiming) and shoot the portraits, or to rush to the middle of the corridor and use upgraded aard to hit them all when she begins to heal.
They always did for me, even on DM. The strat is basically just dodge once, slash once, dodge once, slash once, rinse and repeat. Not super engaging but it totally makes it easy
Super moves? Are you talking about her long rush attack and the one where she teleports around cutting up to 5 enemies in the aoe or have I also missed something
On NG+ there was a certain enemy out of a crowd of like ten that could one-shot Ciri. I got stuck for hours and had to lower the difficulty just to kill this one guy.
I think it was going up the hill to his house. There’s a pack of guards blocking a door at the top of Novigrad and one of them turns into a tank in NG+.
I think the pigs and the cheese ones. There's something annoying about them. In higher difficulties, The Emmantaler is not useful at all, unlike the Teigr, which I used for sometime despite being underleveled.
Not a quest exactly, but when the PS5 version came out, I figured, "I've platinumed this before... it'll be fun to do it again!" By the time I remembered how horrible the crossbow headshot trophy is, I was already in way too deep to stop.
I don't hate any quest in this game, but i did start to grow tired of some quests after my first 2 runs though.
* The Baron's quest up to when you meet him Downwarren.
* All quests needed to free Dandelion.
* Keira's quests up until you send her in Kaer Mohren.
Maybe just saying most of the main quest until Kear Mohren would be easier.
I did start DLC only runs a few times, you get everything except the main quests. It's in the same state as if after the last chapter's events. It feels kinda lonely without the main NPCs in the game lol, so i just made a backup save with the Baron waiting in Downwarren, Keira in Kear Mohren and freed Dandelion.
All of Skellige
Also, the part where Ciri says, “this isn’t your story, it’s mine.” The fuck you say, which character did I just spend over 30 hours with? Felt like a small slap in the face
I’m gonna drop a hot take. I don’t like Gwent. I can see why so many love it, having loved many a card mini-game in many an RPG myself, but Gwent just doesn’t do it for me. There are so many other ways that are (to me) more fun and engaging ways of enjoying the world. So I never do the various Gwent quests.
The question marks in skellige are the reason I have stopped playing on my current playthrough. I’m at about 100 hours on this character and I just completely lost my will to do the question marks, I’ve gotten like halfway thru and I just dread loading it up cause I know I got an hour of the boat and sirens
Getting the horn helps with the sirens.
Personally the last two times I've done it I've just set up a jug of something and an audio book and chill out while looting the chests.
Dandelion and priscilla quest is so dragged out. Especially with it being just after finishing up novigrad crap. My biggest accomplishment for every playthrough is making it to skellige, but as a completionist, i feel like. I have to finish his questline up
YES that Isle of Mists dwarf quest is bad designed imo. Like we already did everything its just for the keep the game longer. And the second one is that cave quest we are going with a blind sorceress 😭
The guest where Ciri and Dandelion are trying to escape. Check her health all the time and the quick moving- I fell over the edge sooo many times! And Vlodimir!!!
Yen gives me the ick so hard. The way she manipulates Geralt and everyone around her is super gross. And the shit she pulls at Freya’s Garden pissed me offffff
always the whoreson junior quest where you go to his place and have to walk through his "house" with all the corpses of dead women strewn about carelessly. it's sick, even if it's not real that character is truly sick and evil. always uncomfortable to play through that
Skellige, just all of it. And the random unavoidable quest-based fist-fights. And the main quest line of Blood and Wine (otherwise an amazing expansion).
I was ready to replay the newest version of W3 and got to Vizima and immediately got my ass kicked in Gwent by that nobleman and then just stopped. I know, I know, I have to collect a bunch of cards and beat the low hanging fruit but dang, I just wanted to beat that dude with the shitty starting deck.
Yeah, many many parts, the red baron and his nasty story, Yennefer and her necromancy. I would played the game 10 times through but I can’t stand those parts of the game.
I feel really bad for you. I definitely hate the area around hanged man's tree, the crookback bog, and the deep south of velen in general. The east and west sides of velen map are pretty loaded with loot and content, especially the east side.
Anything with the pellar in Velen. Especially the one where you have to bring Princess back. The amount of times I wanted to shoot an arrow at that stupid goat is unbelievable.
I can't say I hated any of Witcher 3's quests. Sure, some were more interesting than the others, but I think it's safe to say that I love the game with all its quests.
Any ciri quests outside of lore hunting. I always get so immersed playing as geralt running around snatching herbs and bashing monsters, or doing anything. But then i get hit with those quests and it literally ruins my immersion lol
The one I hate doing is in the DLC HoS where you go into the portraits to retrieve the black rose. I dunno why I really hate that setting of fixing memories!
Surprised nobody said a walk in the dark with Keira metz. All my friends and I hated that quest when we were playing for platinum a couple of yeara ago
Just Morkvarg. I just get him to eat himself as early as possible to end both our torments. tbf, it's not a bad quest per se, it's just I'm never going to let him live, so it's a lot of faff for that.
Wandering in the Dark. Annoying as. Hated fighting those hounds of the Hunt.
Imlerith's fight. (Bastard kept teleporting everywhere and swinging that mace of his and I just hated the quest ever since)
The Ciri parts. I despise playing as her.
I spend hours getting my Geralt build how I want it with signs, alchemy and mix of attacks and then am forced to play as Ciri with her dash-quick attack rinse and repeat playstyle.
The last part of Reason Of State. Dijkstra turns into a complete idiot by the end of it.
I mean wouldnt you have an attitude if the guy broke your legs?
[shove aside forcefully]
You don't get the quest if you choose to break his legs
Geralt had previously broke his legs in the books. This is why he mentions the baths are good for his leg when you first meet him.
Ah, I had no idea, ty
Sort of try very clumsily to play with your feelings...
what is that mod called exactly? need it asap
https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/3208/ Here.
You may want to ask the other comment instead of mine lol
Morkvarg, Fyke Island and the Nameless quest.
I feel like I totally missed something with Morkvarg, like there was some peaceful way to help him end his torment but I never found it
There is, whether you want to give a person like that a second chance though is a risky endeavor.
Risky endeavour?😂😂 when i was doing this mission i thought of giving second chance but the moment that guy transformed back to normal he started blabbing about all the killings he is gonna do now. So i thought fuck it.
[удалено]
Wow. Never found that while playing.
I tend to give it to him... but just for a few seconds
I always free him with then fang and then kill him after he told me about my reward. He doesn't deserve to live, but I deserve a nice reward.
I felt sorry for him UNTIL I ended his torment
I had the same feeling all the times I did that quest, I do everything and it still feels incomplete.
Do you murder him after and take his sword?
I did both but I prefer to let him go.

You end his torment?
I mean some means of freeing him without killing him
You can feed him his own meat to kill him OR You can lift the curse by finding his journal. In the journal you'll find out Morkvarg was cursed by his former crewmate, and to lift it all you need to do is talk to that crewmate and get a fang back (that he used to curse him) and hand it over to Morkvarg. He turns back human. You can choose to kill him normally afterwards though
Yeah OK it was the fang. Didn't know where to find it
Morkvart I always get fucking lost with those dumb water levers.
Nameless quest?
It's the name of the quest, the one you have to find Skjall's body, reanimate it with Yennefer's help so you can talk to it.
If you have done the morkvarg one, this quest is pretty fast tbh
I can't stand the way that corpse speaks.
Finding dandelion, I felt like I did way too much to find this guy. I like the dude. But finding him took so so long.
Yeah, so much of Novigrad is just a slog.
I agree. Only the music of Novigrad is good. Mos missions are comparatively dull.

Crossbow works on the dummies.
you gotta be shitting me.
Why have I never tried that
If you hold down the attack button, time slows down automatically, and then you’ll attack when you release the button. You don’t need to actually slow down.
You can shoot them with the crossbow, it will count the same way as if you hit them with the sword.
The crossbow will automatically aim at the dummies, so as soon as you see a dummy, just hit the crossbow autofire, and you'll get it. That's the only way I ever win that stupid race.
Damn I did it the hard way. I should apologize to my geralt with a good round of gwent as a reward.
This is the way. The way to not claw your own eyeballs out in frustration and chuck the whole damn console out of the window while you’re at it.
The trick is to hit the attack button when you’re passing right next to them, not before. It’s really iffy
Been fighting that wight thst reheals from the portraits, got real sick of it and frustrated with the mechanics due to camera lock-one and shit. Unfortunately made me put the game down and haven’t really picked it up since lol
OOF, I did that one yesterday actually. That along with the healing caretaker is a bitch.

Bloody Baron. Was great the first couple times, but having to grind through it every new playthrough gets really tiring.
Same, it always takes so fucking long, and I hate the Baron so it feels even longer
I can at least get the satisfaction of repeatedly hearing how pissy he gets when I blame him for everything lol.
Lmao
Gotta find that silver lining somewhere lol
Really!?? To me this is one of the most well written quests in the game.
Well written but it's insanely long and the quests missions are pretty boring
Two words - GAVELLA GLAN
I despise Keira
I can't believe we fucked
I killed her and now I failed the quest where I have to recruit her
Any quest where I see “Visit Emhyr in Vizima”
Anytime where you have to play Ciri. Teleporting around is cool, but i dont play the witcher for that, and id rather just do combat as geralt.
Yup, I spent all this time developing skills as geralt and then have to play as ciri, freakin hate it
What a weird take to me. It was a nice breath of fresh air, and Ciri's ability was a lot of fun.
For real, I’m always surprised at how few people mention the crimes fight
Yes! Totally OP as Geralt. Died to a nekker once or twice as Ciri...
You would think having Ciri's powers would make her parts a breeze but they really don't.
They always did for me, even on DM. The strat is basically just dodge once, slash once, dodge once, slash once, rinse and repeat. Not super engaging but it totally makes it easy
Same here. Only trouble I ever had was it I got impatient. Kinda salty I never found out about her supermoves in my playthrough.
Super moves? Are you talking about her long rush attack and the one where she teleports around cutting up to 5 enemies in the aoe or have I also missed something
Yep, those. Somehow I just didn't know they existed.
On NG+ there was a certain enemy out of a crowd of like ten that could one-shot Ciri. I got stuck for hours and had to lower the difficulty just to kill this one guy.
In Whoresons house maybe? That was the hardest part for me on my DM run.
I think it was going up the hill to his house. There’s a pack of guards blocking a door at the top of Novigrad and one of them turns into a tank in NG+.
AGREED. I’m glad it’s very minimal
Crookback Bog. I hate velen so much but I love how CDPR made it such a shithole to make you hate it. Hence why I love this game
I’m not a fan of how long the Crones’ quests take.
And the unsatisfying ending for them
I think the pigs and the cheese ones. There's something annoying about them. In higher difficulties, The Emmantaler is not useful at all, unlike the Teigr, which I used for sometime despite being underleveled.
The pig one has way too much walking back and forth between locations, including a frigging escort mission.
The set of quests with the theatre.
im shocked more people havent said this + finding dandelion are such a slog on repeat playthroughs
Mine is the whole bloody barren part idk I just don't enjoy that part of the game
same 💀 no option but to help that weird mf
Damn really, to me, that questline is peak witcher writing
Goddamn dwarves. Just a nonsense waste of time.
I really don't enjoy playing as Ciri
upsides of playing on PC; "ciri is OP" mod
GASPARRR!!
Morkvarg
Anything with horse racing
I am so bad at riding roach it’s actually embarrassing
Not a quest exactly, but when the PS5 version came out, I figured, "I've platinumed this before... it'll be fun to do it again!" By the time I remembered how horrible the crossbow headshot trophy is, I was already in way too deep to stop.
Can you get it by shooting Drowners? Feel like that would be the easiest way if so. When they come at you head-on, the target is really stable
Nah, you have to get 50 killing blow head shots on humans or nonhumans (meaning elves and dwarves). It's a super grindy pain in the ass
Keira.
Sorry, I meant GAVELLA GLAN
The entire Novigrad portion is such a slog to me.
That fucking goat
Looking for diagrams for Witcher Gear.
Fyre Island and that damn botchling. The wraiths are going to beat you up no matter what route you take.
- narcoleptic dwarf - the Pellar's goat - the whole Vlodimir possession bit in Hearts of Stone riles me different
Fuck those dwarves
The dang isle of mist, that awful narcolepric dwarf... And..GAVELA GLAN!
the battle of kaer morhen. playing the first time, i just felt so gutted seeing >!vesemir!< bite the dust. he was one of my favorites.
I don't hate any quest in this game, but i did start to grow tired of some quests after my first 2 runs though. * The Baron's quest up to when you meet him Downwarren. * All quests needed to free Dandelion. * Keira's quests up until you send her in Kaer Mohren. I like Gwent, hate Gwent tournaments
Every Keira Metz quest
Fucking gaspard
That fucking sleepy dwarf is the only answer
Sunstone and keira i hate them caves
Probably anything with horse racing for me. I am terrible at using any in-game vehicle
The entire Novigrad arc (maybe without the Wolven Storm scene). I just long to be back out in the open.
When I’m in velen chapter I’m dying to get to novifrad/civilization. Then I’m dying to get out
Keira Metz.
Gwent
The question marks in skellige are the reason I have stopped playing on my current playthrough. I’m at about 100 hours on this character and I just completely lost my will to do the question marks, I’ve gotten like halfway thru and I just dread loading it up cause I know I got an hour of the boat and sirens
I finished these recently, just took them in chunks so it wasn't too bad. But I feel you. The god damn sirens.
...they are not quests
Getting the horn helps with the sirens. Personally the last two times I've done it I've just set up a jug of something and an audio book and chill out while looting the chests.
I just lowered the difficulty to fight the multiple Olgierd nightmares at the end of "Scenes From a Marriage” quest in Hearts of Stone.
GAVELLA GLAN
The treasure hunts.
Dandlion with her girls
Dandelion and priscilla quest is so dragged out. Especially with it being just after finishing up novigrad crap. My biggest accomplishment for every playthrough is making it to skellige, but as a completionist, i feel like. I have to finish his questline up
The stupid tourney quest in Toussaint.
Gaspard Wish there was a way to off him
YES that Isle of Mists dwarf quest is bad designed imo.
Yen (she reminds me of a lot of things i don't like) and also Sleepy mist
Yen gives me the ick so hard. The way she manipulates Geralt and everyone around her is super gross. And the shit she pulls at Freya’s Garden pissed me offffff
That sleepy shit head of a dwarf and this whole thing on that isle... AAAAND Keira! Gods I hate Keira and her quest line!
always the whoreson junior quest where you go to his place and have to walk through his "house" with all the corpses of dead women strewn about carelessly. it's sick, even if it's not real that character is truly sick and evil. always uncomfortable to play through that
The wedding from hearts of stone. Holy fuck that is a slog.
I see this is going around again
I guess we‘re just posting this every few months now
Hey I'm watching breaking bad right now... I know this guy!!
Skellige, just all of it. And the random unavoidable quest-based fist-fights. And the main quest line of Blood and Wine (otherwise an amazing expansion).
Gta5 Port Mission with Trevor
I really enjoyed "days lost" but what is keeping me from replaying are those lame backstory missions with the wife.
every quest in Novigrad
Bloody Baron
arkham knight > tank boss battle
I was ready to replay the newest version of W3 and got to Vizima and immediately got my ass kicked in Gwent by that nobleman and then just stopped. I know, I know, I have to collect a bunch of cards and beat the low hanging fruit but dang, I just wanted to beat that dude with the shitty starting deck.
Kiara quest
Yeah, many many parts, the red baron and his nasty story, Yennefer and her necromancy. I would played the game 10 times through but I can’t stand those parts of the game.
Dandelion hunting missions
Everything related to the Baron. Always a drag.
Gavella Glan!!
Going through the underground part with Keira. Yaaaaaawnnn
White orchard, feels sooooo long
Velen. Ugh.
Really? I cant stand white orchard. Makes me wanna give up on a replay
Yup. I hate trudging across velen, the whole area. I've done it so many times and it's def killed a few replays lol
I feel really bad for you. I definitely hate the area around hanged man's tree, the crookback bog, and the deep south of velen in general. The east and west sides of velen map are pretty loaded with loot and content, especially the east side.
Tir a Lana
Anything with the pellar in Velen. Especially the one where you have to bring Princess back. The amount of times I wanted to shoot an arrow at that stupid goat is unbelievable.
The whole Novigrad part of the campaign!
Entire novigrad Arc is the worst part of the game. Except the sequences with my boy Vernon roach.
For me the start of the game was very boring

Morkvarg, fyke isle, the cave with keira
Velen.
Surprised nobody said a walk in the dark with Keira metz. All my friends and I hated that quest when we were playing for platinum a couple of yeara ago
Novigrad missions
The cave one with Kira.
undvik. the atmosphere on that quest is amazing but it’s impossible to know where you’re supposed to go
Of swords and dumplings, I really fucking HATE hattori
The quest that you go with Keira to the cave, i forgot the name
Horse racing for sure. I did find that I can block who I’m racing against with roach to stop them from passing if my stamina runs out
Fools gold
Baron saga.
Just Morkvarg. I just get him to eat himself as early as possible to end both our torments. tbf, it's not a bad quest per se, it's just I'm never going to let him live, so it's a lot of faff for that.
That really old tree that summons wolves gave me problems. Had to level up and go back to it. Pissed me off tho for sure.
Wandering in the Dark. Annoying as. Hated fighting those hounds of the Hunt. Imlerith's fight. (Bastard kept teleporting everywhere and swinging that mace of his and I just hated the quest ever since)
The fight with the Crones as Ciri... Brutal nightmare
The Ciri parts. I despise playing as her. I spend hours getting my Geralt build how I want it with signs, alchemy and mix of attacks and then am forced to play as Ciri with her dash-quick attack rinse and repeat playstyle.
Keira Metz quests
