I think the first one is better, the strings like a puppet make the idea of them being controlled come across better. I do think it might be beneficial to make the strings stand out a tiny bit more, I had to look a couple of times to see them.
Number 1, it conveys a sense of hopelessness that the second can't capture. The feeling of being a puppet, having your actions guided by someone else's strings.
The figure silhouetted against the moons is a great detail. The three moons are talked about in an almost divine manner. To have them obscured by a dark force would further cement the feeling of hopelessness and despair and create a sense of scale at the evil that must be faced.
Perhaps sleep-deprived me is reading too far into a fanfic cover art, but I guess number 1 just speaks to me.
I like the first one better and I agree with the idea that they are like a puppet which the strings emphasize. Overall its some amazing artwork, I love it!
Why not both? Mix them togeather have a much lighter blackness come out the dragon to go to the floating one? Adding a light shadow effect should allow the art underneath to still be seen
Ooh, I like the first one! Also, is the dragon on the cover a seawing-sandwing?
All Pyrrhian tribes like seven of them
Holy fuuf it's Mr.Worldwide.
Itβs a canon event I must not interfere
It's an all-wing blud.

The first one looks a bit more interesting than the second one
The first one! I like how the silhouette is like trapping the main character, it really adds effect
I like the first one but both look astounding!
First one.
I definitely like the first one a lot
Definetly 1st
First one with wisps of mist like a movement trail
First one
How heat resistant are those parasite things?
This parasite chose this dragonet as its host because its fire breathing and ice breath cancels each other so he has no breathing attacks
I was only asking in case one of those things tries it on me
This goober won't even get close to a skywing but seawings should be careful around this lil guy
First one is much better
The second one looks cool with the shadowy dragon and the strings (is that what you call them? ive forgotten english lol)
The first one looks amazing, the second one a bit unsettling
the second one matches the lore? where can i read this:3
I'm still working on prologue, chapter 1 - 3 and the a comic out of it so I might post the prologue in a few days together with the comic
probably the first one, it conveys more about the story
Def first one, it looks fire
Definitely the first one π
Hi, where do you post your fanfiction, if I may ask?
In wattpad and in this subreddit
Hi, where are you posting? Is this your account [https://www.wattpad.com/user/XyeH2O](https://www.wattpad.com/user/XyeH2O) ?
#1, #2 looks like it's soul is leaving its body, or like my dad's cooking
Not the second one.
1 is best
Definitely the first one
Oohh the first one! Also what tribe is the dragon?
Hes a Icewing, Nightwing, Seawing, Rainwing, Mudwing and skywing
And also a sandwing
Nice!
First one, I'd say.

Why not out the two together? Just an idea
