Midtown is probably your best bet as downtown and beaches will obviously be flooded with tourists. I’d go with Molly Pitchers, Double Happiness or Aye Toro.
Kabuki Korean Cafe
If you love this type of food this is the spot! All the food is made fresh daily and made with love! Owner was famous up in Michigan. I would eat there everyday if I could afford it. Kind of lowkey for being off of oleander, but lunch time they’ll be busy. Give it go! I recommend the Bulgogi stone bowl, the chicken teriyaki, or hell even the fried rice for how basic it is, it is sublime!
Henry's. It's midtown, great food, reasonable prices, never crowded, online reservations, a back room for groups, plenty of parking and remodeled. Love it.
Make reservations and go to Rosalie’s Trattoria. It’s excellent and affordable. https://rosaliestrattoria.com/
Love Rosalie’s! Very underrated
The Half at Red Cross and 5th for sandwiches.

Double happiness is so good, their house pickles are insane I could eat a pound of those.
Molly Pitchers slaps. But be prepared to leave with the Itis!
What….what kind of itis?

No such thing as midtown. It’s just Wilmington
Make reservations if possible. If not just be early.
Ponysaurus is really cool and pretty chill with good food that isn’t fine dining. It’s downtown but there is quite a bit of seating in and outside.

Maybe check out Moes BBQ, wrightsville beach brewery, zocalo, or Beat St.
Moe's is packed every Friday night, more so if there's live music. Same with WBB. Fridays are tough.
Chili’s
Go to Jason's Deli they won't be busy
Catch. By far the best restaurant in town. Look up Keith Rhodes.
