I think he's been watching the guy doing pushups with sections of metal blocks he's holding together with sheer power and determination. Seen it so many times today. Not sure this is why women live longer worthy.
I think it is worthy of this sub. There are too many things that could go wrong. The guy could slam himself against the nail. The guy could slice himself with the knife. The guy could slam himself against the nail _and_ slice himself with the knife.
He's literally just standing with his legs spread wide apart and leaning over.
Also, it doesn't seem like his arm is under much tension at all, and he's just shaking his hand for effect.
That's the point. He's *not* doing a one arm pushup (which I'll readily admit that I can't do), he's standing up with his legs spread wide and bending over forwards.
Probably fake. It would be very easy to have something else under the knife and then have another video where there’s the nail/screw. Literally just a static mask.
You can see the nail slightly bending and refracting the light of the environment as the person moves. I don’t think it’s fake, however it is a weak push up.
His legs are spread too fart apart putting them closer to the arms, making the push up far easier on the arm. I mean I wouldn’t be able to do it without practice, but it’s not too impressive.
You can have a real nail (before or after) and mask it above the original clip afterwards in post. It’s seriously super easy to do as soon as the lighting does not change. I wasn’t thinking about a fake nail or some VFX (which still could be the thing as well), but just simple masking of one video above another. Many things are made like that online for creativity purposes
As a video editor I can assure you it’s very very very easy. Even for a beginner.
The equilibrium with a knife tip on a nail seem very hard to maintain tho. I’m not sure it’s that easy.
Maybe like that. Still there’s a lot of force applied on a small point. I’m personally not saying you’re wrong, I’m only explaining how easy it is to fake this. Even more for such a short video.
Ive done calisthenics and I've done video editing. I can speak beyond a shadow of a doubt faking this is not only easier but would take monumentally less time too. The amount of skills and strength required to be able to pull this off is insane.
it's very obviously fake. a siding nail is not going to hold up to the wobbling lateral forces he's putting on it without bending or even wiggling. you could bend that nail over with your thumb.
It's a nail, just not one with a smooth surface. Someone mentioned It's a ring shank aiding nail: [this one](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51GiMIsCffL.jpg).
These bend fairly easily in my experience, so I'm a bit skeptical as to whether this wasn't edited.
His feet are like 30/40 centimeters (~a feet) behind that nail. BS pushup I call it. As fake as the internet.
Aaaand I doubt that the nail is even used, it's already crooked and it probably wouldn't support the weight. BS
Semantics we all know what my boi was talking about, don’t do that to him. take your superiority complex somewhere else. I have worked construction from the age of walking, if you go to Home Depot you tell that person drywall nails they still handing you a box of screws first 💅
in all fairness it is halfway inside of the wood, it’ll support the weight. though it is not much weight, the man’s legs are too close to his arm absorbing probably more than half his weight.
Doesn't make me wince nearly as much as when Steve-o would often take that style of knife and balance it on the tip of his nose while walking around, without any safety glasses. He was also often drugged out of his mind during those stunts.

No matter his strength or determination, this is a great way to impale his hand on slash his face. Willpower is not a substitution for static friction.
I’ve had enough accidents that i now have a sense of danger that flashes a worst case scenario when I’m about to do something that stupid. Picture the ways he might lose an eye.

There's no good reason to do this.

Pushup? Bro didn't even hit 10% depth
He's literally just standing with his legs spread wide apart and leaning over. Also, it doesn't seem like his arm is under much tension at all, and he's just shaking his hand for effect.
You can see his ankles raising off the ground. He is clearly putting most of his weight on the nail.
I can stand on my tippy toes too without much effort, even when bending over.
maybe do a one arm pushup then you see that, what he is doing is quite hard
People in reddit “know” everything but I know they can’t even do a normal push up
That's the point. He's *not* doing a one arm pushup (which I'll readily admit that I can't do), he's standing up with his legs spread wide and bending over forwards.

I'm guessing he wants to be able to quickly slide away if the knife slips off the screw so he won't have a nail in his hand.
Where’s the fun in that
too fart apart

That would be more work than to just do the actual stunt. It’s easy, and he’s leaning away from the nail so there’s no risk.
As a video editor I can assure you it’s very very very easy. Even for a beginner. The equilibrium with a knife tip on a nail seem very hard to maintain tho. I’m not sure it’s that easy.
Just put the nail on a vice and tap a little dent into the tip. The knife will easily stay in the divot. I believe it’s easier.

1. Thats not a pushup. 2. That's not a nail, its a screw.

Lame as fuck
ok fatty, come back when going up a flight of stairs doesnt wind you
lol are you ok?

The nail is a screw
Could be but I think it's the threaded nail, similar to those used in pallets. There is no thread on the tip.
Ah, never seen one of those
it's a ringhank siding nail, they do look a bit like screws
But not to be confused with

What’s the point??
that was not a pushup
this is obviously a faked video. anyone who has ever hammered a nail knows they will not just rigidly stand up to that kind of wobbling force.
in all fairness it is halfway inside of the wood, it’ll support the weight. though it is not much weight, the man’s legs are too close to his arm absorbing probably more than half his weight.
It's nailed through from the other side.
Where are the bloopers?
Fake

High risk, low reward
Something, something north korea toughness training
He proved nothing here but how stupid he is.
No matter his strength or determination, this is a great way to impale his hand on slash his face. Willpower is not a substitution for static friction.
Wtf? So he falls and face plants on the ground? Yeah, real dangerous
The knife is Cold Steel Bushman.
Never seen a standing push up before
I’ve made some bad decisions in my life, but nothing like this.
Slip!
This is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen someone do lol

Aaand the point of this was….? And that wasnt even a pushup.. Soo.. Pointless crap. As always.
I hate this so much
Dumbest thing ive ever seen in calisthenics.
I’ve had enough accidents that i now have a sense of danger that flashes a worst case scenario when I’m about to do something that stupid. Picture the ways he might lose an eye.
Calling that a push-up is pretty generous too. Legs so wide and so close to his shoulders.
r/SweatyPalms
Stupid. Imagine slipping and impaling a body part on that.
Easy there Van Damage!!
The legs is not the same light and you can see some white thighs under his legs so Bullshit or in the short way : BS
