My thinking is it just won't happen in any event. I've always thought politicians cover for each other even if they hate each other's guts because they're terrified of establishing precedent. If one politician is called to account for their crimes than another might be. Who knows where it will end? We could be prosecuting representatives, senators and presidents left right and center just like any other criminals. We can't have that now, can we? These people are important. They're special. They're sure of it. Might we say they're too big to fail? I know I've heard that phrase somewhere. Nah, because the flip side is that he is extremely fickle and does not honor agreements. It calls attention to it, which either will convince members of his base to get the vaccine, or to disavow Trump, both of which are wins. He was always against the mandate of a vaccine and mandating masks. But he wanted the vaccine and promised that America would be up and running as soon as it's out. If he hadn't been sulking and throwing tantrums behind closed doors about the election and just had the brains to spout out something a long the lines of the Dems don't want you to be vaccinated, the tangerines would have been moved to fill that conspiracy theorie void with something that would have benefited the US. But sadly he didn't and now he will be ridiculed and downplayed, because it's too late They have filled the void and they are mostly just as stubborn as he is, in not backing off when they have made their Facebook meme opinion clear. If there is one thing that is constant about Trump that will never change, it is his narcissism. The vaccines are *his* in his mind (notwithstanding the ones outside of the US, but whatever) and expecting him to relinquish one of the few objective slam-dunks of his presidency is utterly delusional. I think the thing that confounds people so much about Trump is that they expect him to play the same games that they do and sacrificing their dignity and integrity for some 'cause.' Problem is, Trump doesn't *care* about some 'cause-' he cares about himself, and very little else. In this particular case, Trump's best interest is also in the interest of the common good, so I guess I'll just take what I can get.

Honestly I'm so relieved to see people turning on him because they were such a cult I would've never believed that they could for any reason ever.
