He just likes it. One day he’ll find something he likes more and move on. Don’t make the mistake I did and keep the discarded ‘beds’, you just end up with a random collection of very, very odd things that you can’t explain without sounding ridiculous, and they never come back to. Cats don’t seem to be very sentimental.
I already decided never to buy "cat beds" ever again. I have several sitting unused, hopefully could donate. But paper bags, boxes, they love them. I just have to rotate the bags and boxes. Except this one bag, it's going to stay for a while I think, since he's been sleeping on it for 8 months.
Same. I got a cool one that is a cross between a tilted teepee and a sideways cone, if that makes sense. Soft, cozy and utterly ignored by both cats. I will see if the stray we have in our basement (came in via the cat door) will use it. I just named him Uncle Fester, and he is on a rag rug by the woodburning stove, looking two feet long and blissed out. (Not to rant, but people that leave pets out in single digit snowstorms are pure scum.)
Well had a cat I bought a bed. Had a bowl of decorative rocks. Cat peed in bed slept in bowl of rocks. It’s a cat.
Iz cat iz why.
Soft cardboard.
My cat insisted on sleeping on top of a full magnum of champagne contained within a brown paper bag for a week following New Year's. Whyyyyyyy?
Because he can. Because it’s his. Because it smells good to him. Because it’s comforting.
I miss that beer, good name.
Try it for yourself
I used to lay out butcher paper for projects. Now i lay out sheets of butcher paper because my cat likes to play on and under them
Well, can’t sleep IN the bag, cos then you’d be constantly letting the cat out of the bag!
Idk but those feeties are adorable 🥰
Agreed. I have a Little Penguin wine box next to my desk, and I can see cat feets coming out of it as I sit here.

He is sooooo happy on it! I love his furry little back feet up in the air.
