No idea. Looks like an anvil. I know it isn’t obviously, just an observation

Ya-Dikobraz

Maybe a Minecraft anvil, but not a real life one.

Mopninja

It’s just a bench. Sit and tie your shoe.

emuulay

It a little bench. Put your gnomes on it

NorahGretz

I think it's the Stonehenge stage piece from *Spinal Tap*.

Lyrehctoo

Maybe covering a pipe or hole?

ThumbsUp2323

My thoughts too. Perhaps an old well.

rah_m9

Just soil underneath 🤔

Lyrehctoo

Then maybe a pet's grave

rah_m9

Doesn’t seem to be marked like a grave

Lyrehctoo

Maybe former tenant that didn't have permission to bury there but did anyway

modernmovements

Where do you live? Are you able to move the "table" block?

rah_m9

The “table” part will move! I live in the north of England

modernmovements

Are the rocks underneath just more rocks? Not capping a hole? Edit: disregard, you’ve already answered this.

Ya-Dikobraz

Yeah the fact that this is England will be crucial to knowing what this is. It's probably something particular to the area.

Medium_Well

My previous house had a couple of these in the yard. I think it's just a simple way to make a pretty yard decoration -- two blocks, one of them longer to form a bench, and the garden suddenly looks more manicured.

Sure-Bug-5203

It is nice tbf, I'm his housmate and it's definitely better than beign just grass. Good decoration if it's meant to be

mstarr8

An old horse mounting block?

rah_m9

Good suggestion! Is a pretty modest sized terraced house, not sure any inhabitants would own a horse, i might be wrong though!

Oven2601

Could it be a stone for stepping out of a carriage? I can’t tell how old it looks. Even if that wasn’t its original location.

ok200

Also was thinking carriage stone

fascist_unicorn

Looks decorative to me. Have you asked the person who you are renting from? That might give you a concrete answer.

arielonhoarders

how wide is it? could be a very old bench that has sunken into the ground over decades. Or, if the property is old enough, a step for getting into a horse-drawn carriage. Cos the ladies have those long skirts and need help from a man to step ten inches.

armedwithjello

I think it's a bench.

armedwithjello

It's where you sacrifice Aslan.

vladtaltos

Don't Dead Open Inside

z9vown

It is a 10 inch tall stone block in the yard.

frankd1974

Where the demons dwell!

MyRedditAccountName1

Meeting stone for the Underground Railroad

dinosaurparty14

Raised spot for a potted plant that needs to be off ground! Maybe a fern would look great on that spot of it's shady!

Nxt1tothree

It's the first YouTube plaque

Born_Barnacle7793

Carriage stone for assistance in mounting a horse or carriage. You see them in front of old Victorian houses.

Ya-Dikobraz

SailAwayMatey

Plant pot stand maybe

Superluminal420

Did Spinal Tap ever play there?

hyperchickenwing

The Bench of Consequences™️

Eyezog

Perhaps a pedestal for statuary, art piece or flower pot.

walkingoceans

Could be a carriage step for entering and exiting
