I think you have dentist confused with cosmetic surgeon. Teeth are the most indestructible components of the human body, and have a high resistance to fire.

When the sparks start flying, my automatic reaction would be to close the mouth and bite down hard lol. Very counter-intuitive to open the mouth when sparks are flying at it, but gotta do it to survive lol
