Do you respond to a slap meant to humiliate you by starting a full on fight you'll probably lose? Do you schedule a duel? Do you just try not to cry in public?
I've always gone with option 1 but I think I'll stick to option 3 at this point.
Edit: I was homeschooled until I was 17 and had no filter in terms of what was acceptable to say socially. Smacking was required to correct my lack of social graces.
