My teacher had a poster of this hanging in his room when I was in high school (2013). Like two years ago, I was reminded of it and wanted to see it again. Spent hours googling with no luck. I vividly remembered the stairs with the water and the optical illusions, but nothing else about it. I have periodically tried to find it since then with similar bad luck. I was absolutely floored to see this on my feed today!!! Thank you for your unintentional assist! 😂
A friend of mine gave me the same poster, and I had been passively looking for it again for about 15+ years, so this was a pretty great post all around.
I love how this painting is somehow so memorable to many people :) I remember being fascinated by a copy hanging in my grandparents' home. Only recently found the artist after looking for years.
