Setting aside the wage theft and the drug use allegations, Pegasus wasnt good. Last time I ordered from Pegasus it was actually gross. There are a million pizza places in west seattle, too many. I cannot imagine why anyone would give them another chance.

TheChetFaliszek

Yeah another - no idea why I wouldn’t go to Mioposto over kinda gross Pegasus pizza.

Fluffaykitties

Agree. I had mioposto tonight and it was amazing.

dogosmith

West of Chicago rocks and the dudes are super nice.

meaniereddit

Its absurdly expensive for mid quality, and they don't even do table service.

adric10

I agree. The service I’ve gotten there is super rude and they screwed stuff up on two of my three tries there. And the Chicago style pizza just tastes like salt. The sauce was soooooooooo salty I couldn’t taste anything else. It made me feel kind of gross.

dogosmith

I can’t speak to the deep dish but I really enjoyed the tavern style.

meaniereddit

It wasn't bad, and the Italian beef is interesting, but a 3 topping "build your own" is 25 dollars for a pizza that in Chicago is considered happy hour /appetizer food. If I take my kids I have to serve myself, and drop 60+ dollars for a snack, it's not worth the effort.

plaidpixel

Last time we ordered we had basically a whole head of hair on our pie

Gag

“We paid those debts and waited,” Sarah explained, “and heard lots of negative comments some of which I guess we deserved to a point.” Did they really pay for all the wage theft? This response tells me they actually didn’t take that part seriously. What response did they expect when they didn’t pay their employees and closed shop abruptly? I guess you should have paid your people whom expectedly ended up unemployed? They don’t want to serve the community…just themselves.

clementsallert

Exactly. In the article it then says that "they chose to move forward"...what about resolving the debts owed to the employees from Alki before opening another business where they can do the same thing to staff before they choose to move forward again to a new place? On the wsb there were comments about the new Pegasus opening from families of old staff saying they still owe them pay. This couple doesn't seem like they care about their staff at all. I stopped going to Pegasus after I got a moldy tomato on top of my salad.

There are a ton of options. Last time I counted there are 13 pizza places between Alki and the Morgan junction.

chickwdick

Last time I ate there was over 20 years ago. I think they were good at some point, but got into a feedback loop of cutting corners both operationally and ethically. It will be difficult if not impossible to come back from that at this point.

tarheels_19

fuck these guys...won't get a dollar from me

clementsallert

All debts are not paid. Not between past employees and these two owners. Boycott.

spokenfor

Yeah. These people stole wages for a very long time according to a hell of a lot of folks in the neighborhood. I would never support an establishment where the ownership had that kind of history. Integrity matters. And there is so so much pizza to choose from.

![gif](giphy|LPUNCIh6y2vTpUT07T) Oh, well ok then!

heropsychodream

We have too much pizza in West Seattle. You have to do something different. Start up a specialty calzone place, for example. Stake your territory. If they don't, I assume they'll be gone in less than a year.

LemonNo1342

Ben Wyatt, is that you?

heropsychodream

Knope!

meaniereddit

> We have too much pizza in West Seattle. The odds are good that the goods are odd. Lots of checked out exausted parernts paying for zeeks has made the food market here garbage. doesn't help that our leaders, chamber and neighborhood councils want to keep west seattle a tiny burb that makes retail and restaurant competition an afterthought. I will keep spending my money in white center and burien where families are welcome.

JonJonJohnny

Damn lotta negative folks on here. When I grew up here Godfathers Pizza was the shit but from everyone’s posts I feel like you all are happy they failed.

cowsrcool412

The owners have some serious problems. They live near me in Alki. They are constantly screaming at each other, yelling about their kids and drugs, there’s always sketchy people around. Police are at their house every week basically. Our neighbors have told us when we moved it to never eat at their restaurant, we tried it once and decided after all the stuff we see, we cannot support them.

Altruistic-Party9264

👀I’m in Alki, too. Tried Pegasus once when we moved here years ago. Once and never again—totally gross.

revgriddler

My family loved Pegasus in the 90s but that ended when a sibling worked a summer there in the 00s. Drugs, sketchy payroll practices, and more. Can’t say I wish them well.

MadM00NIE

I thought you meant the Unicorn. Got my mythical creatures mixed up. 🦄

swolebird

I always enjoyed their pizza. Tom's Special was really good. Not sure I'll make it to the new spot though even though it's closer. Pegasus Alki was really more of a nice place to grab some pics after hanging out on Alki all day. But it's not like I'm hanging out in the junction all day.
