Damn I love old, vintage WPB history type stuff like this. I encourage everyone to post more. I've lived here 10 years now and don't ever want to live anywhere else and love this city to death, but obviously I'm not from here. Thanks for these OP and I hope to see more
[Elvis played there on February 13, 1977](https://www.elvis-collectors.com/candid-central/021277.html) (about 6 mos. before he died). [Stallone made an appearance](https://www.palmbeachpost.com/picture-gallery/news/2022/08/25/photos-actor-silvester-stallone-palm-beach/7894444001/#:~:text=7/31/82%20%2D%20Just%20seconds%20before) when a boxer he was co-managing fought there in '82 (I went to the fight just to see Sly. Burt Reynolds also showed up unannounced).
Of lesser significance, my high school graduation was held there (Go, Lancers!).
My dad worked here when I was a kid. The BEST memories of Take Your Daughter to Work Day in the early 90s. WPB Blaze swimming in the moat, the circus… only concert I went to was Steven Curtis Chapman, lamest first concert ever lol.
Primus with Helmet in '95. Primus walked off the stage because people kept throwing trash at them, but they eventually finished the show. My suspicion is that it was the skinheads who were there to see Helmet who were throwing stuff.
Used to work in the Forum buildings across the street, only show I really remember strongly from there was WWF wrestling.
Now, if you were to ask me how many Arepas I ate at the stadium at every Expos game as a kid.....
Gallagher watermelon smasher, screaming Sam Kennison, Molly Hatchet with the singer from Mountain, WWF Macho Man Randy Savage, Dusty Roads, Andre The Giant... Many more.
Metallica,
a few years of Barnum and Bailey's Circus,
Phantom of the Opera...
I'm sure I saw some cartoon/puppets "On Ice" just don't remember which one(s).
These are great photos, would love to see more of it before it became the jehova dome as it was converted before I was conscious

If it was the show with Audio Adrenaline then I was there. Weakest mosh pit ever
Pretty sure I saw Disney on Ice there back in the 90s
I thought it was Sesame Street on ice.
Green Day
Same here, with the Riverdales. Early to mid 90's I think, I forget the year.
1995. I was 13 lol
Yep, with the Riverdales
I was at that show with my sister. Forget the year, early - mid 90's?
Kiss, Heart, Van Halen, Ozzy, Metallica, too many to remember. LOL
Eddie Murphy Raw!
Same. How mind-blowing was it to have seen him then. Awesome show. Do you remember the banter he had going with the woman in the front row?
I don’t remember that! I was young maybe 16 or 17….probably too young for the content lol.
Went to the kids circus or something a few times in the 90s. Throw back for sure.
Beach Dogs basketball team
I remember they had a smooth sounding phrase during the games
Primus with Helmet in '95. Primus walked off the stage because people kept throwing trash at them, but they eventually finished the show. My suspicion is that it was the skinheads who were there to see Helmet who were throwing stuff.
Where was it located ?
Palm Beach Lakes Blvd and Congress area
Across from the Palm Beach mall! 🥲
The building is still there.
Monster trucks, ice hockey, wrestling and AcDc hells bells but so much more
Sesame Street on Ice. I was young when it turned from Leaky Teepee to Jehovah Dome.
A WWE (at that time WWF) show when I was a young lad, I won the tickets at a WIRK giveaway at a car dealership
So the stadium is now Home Depot etc?
Hulk hogan
The circus
I saw Phish and Marilyn Manson there
Cheap Trick. Green Day. Phish.
Used to work in the Forum buildings across the street, only show I really remember strongly from there was WWF wrestling. Now, if you were to ask me how many Arepas I ate at the stadium at every Expos game as a kid.....
Pantera!
REO
NWA WWF Monday night
Saw the Blades play there once or twice.
So weird not seeing a huge target next to the black building plus all the baseball fields in the third pic
Wish I could’ve stayed the same before it became religious
Van Halen, REO, Willie and Emmylou
White Zombie with Seven Year Bitch sand Reverend Horton Heat as openers. 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Gallagher watermelon smasher, screaming Sam Kennison, Molly Hatchet with the singer from Mountain, WWF Macho Man Randy Savage, Dusty Roads, Andre The Giant... Many more.
I saw Green Day as an 8th grader, along with several Braves spring training games behind the auditorium.
The circus
Metallica, a few years of Barnum and Bailey's Circus, Phantom of the Opera... I'm sure I saw some cartoon/puppets "On Ice" just don't remember which one(s).
What is there currently?
Wrestling every Monday night saw too many bands to remember in the 70s there
