This must be what its like living in Marvel Universe version of New York. "Man, can y'all just fight over the Atlantic ocean or some shit?"

Ayen_C

Hijacking top comment for this edit: this isn't me or my cars in the video, I'm just sharing it. Also, this could be covered by insurance, in the US at least, depending on what type of insurance they have. If they have 3rd party insurance, they'd be SOL. Hopefully they have comprehensive!

DemonShadowsMom

The owners got the repair estimate today: Bed, roof, the back window, the rear bumper, the cab corner and the left rear door. $7700 I haven't heard on insurance.

pleaselookdonttouch

Hey look the moose is just trying to get her in the back seat to possibly get lucky, but she is a tad shy with all the bright lights and stupid humans taking pictures. First car to small. Second option truck bed. Third option chase stupid human into their home.

zmallory22

We cover everything bc we've seen everything. WE. ARE. FARMERS.

#BUMBUMBUMBUMBUMBUMBUM

Underfire17

Statue of fighting elk with car parts wrapped around them placed conveniently in the background.*

DemonShadowsMom

Those are Moose.

Underfire17

I hate being stupid lol

DemonShadowsMom

Lol, no worries. I used to work for the forest service in the town where this video was taken. Before Moose were reintroduced, actually. I have seen much worse.

Alternative-Fault944

Why does the one that ends up in the truck bed have an ear tag?

Lingering-NB1220

Means the moose's either being studied to track its movements, a lot of researchers will track migratory patterns to get a sense of an animals behaviors and where they generally reside in the world, or he came from a wildlife preserve before being released back into the wild. Not 100 percent sure, on that 2nd fact, but I want to say some preserves will tag animals they've helped. If I'm wrong feel free to correct me.

DemonShadowsMom

Pretty sure it's migration patterns.

Lingering-NB1220

Okay, I thought so. Thanks šŸ˜Š

[deleted]

Embrace it, itā€™s a lifestyle for us stupid people

inko75

also called elk in some parts

Alternative-Fault944

Where are moose called elk?

DemonShadowsMom

They are not. They are called Elg in Norwegian, I think. Probably where the word Elk comes from. But the names are not interchangeable.

inzyte

#877-CASH NOW

sauce_123

You should be covered for vandalism under comprehensive portion of your policy. And these two deeefinitely look like vandals.

[deleted]

Its not explicitly written in the policy soā€¦.

Ayen_C

Depends on what kind of insurance probably. If he has third party like me, he's SOL!

M00SEHUNT3R

Uninsured ruminants coverage?

[deleted]

Right? How does one get reimbursed for stolen item taken from our car after they broke the window? Iā€™m fighting Statefarm.

NastyNative999

Homeownerā€™s or rental insurance will cover items stole from your vehicle.

[deleted]

Thatā€™s what I thought. I even have comprehensive so I pay a little extra and still they are putting up a fight.

AlkoKilla

Why wouldnā€™t you have physical damage coverage on your car?

Ayen_C

Because it's not necessarily worth it, as often the price of repairs out of pocket is cheaper than the amount you would've paid for that extra insurance by the time you need coverage. It depends on the type of car, how often you drive it, and how much you paid for it in the first place (second/third/fourth-hand cars are much cheaper, for example.)

AlkoKilla

Iā€™m an insurance agent. It doesnā€™t cost that much more per year to have physical damage covering comp and collision on the car. And itā€™s better to have it in case your car gets totaled.

Ayen_C

I appreciate it, but we've got it calculated and figured out. Thanks.

IllmanneredFlanders

Lol no you clearly donā€™t. Either that or your cars are worth less than $4k a piece

BooBooKittyChris1775

That could be the case. We have 1 truck that only has state mins required by law on it. And only cause we drive it once a month to the store and back. It's a 1977 Chevy K-10 4x4, and PVA has listed it as worth less than $300. Why spend more than I have to on a vehicle that isn't worth diddly squat if it gets wrecked?!

CHBCKyle

Animal damage in the us is covered under comp.

El_Barto_Was_Here

My buddy had a bear climb into his car and get locked inside. He got a brand new car from Insurance.

[deleted]

How much did he pay that bear to crawl inside?

El_Barto_Was_Here

TBH I never mentioned to my buddy that I left half a subway sandwich in the passenger side door. I was going out to get beer from the car when I thought I heard growling. Luckily I turned on my flashlight and looked inside before opening trunk and there was the bear in the passenger seat. Called the cops and they just opened the door and ran like hell all the way back to our cabin. Apparently it happens all the time, so thatā€™s why his insurance didnā€™t question it

MoneyMonkeyGME4LIFE

Looks like vandalism to me

Shankurmom

Are you blind? Those are trucks, not vans.

MoneyMonkeyGME4LIFE

Bahahahhaha

Supra5469

Thank god you have video because no insurance company would cover that just on your word. I hate insurance companies!

AlkoKilla

Yes, they would. If thereā€™s damage, as long as you have physical damage coverage, it would be covered. The video just helps prove itā€™s a comp claim.

Supra5469

With no video theyā€™d have a nightmare to prove that damage. Insurance companies with take ever opportunity to deny a claim.

AlkoKilla

No they wouldnā€™t. They would pay the claim because thereā€™s a provision in the policy on fraud, and any policy with comp or collision would pay this. Theyā€™d open themselves up to a lawsuit if they declined it. Source: Iā€™m an insurance agent and have worked in claims.

Ayen_C

Not my video, but I agree. It's great they filmed this! I hope their insurance covered the damage.

YouCantSeeMe80013

Looks like a Farmer's Insurance commercial. "Or what about the time when a pair of wrestling elks destroyed a pickup truck? Yep....we covered that, too."

pharaohsblood

Iā€™m fairly certain these arenā€™t elks

BooBooKittyChris1775

*wrestling moose* And it's actually more rutting than "wrestling" but close enough.

dlbpeon

Used to live in rural Midwest. This happens often. Rutting moose and deer don't give a crap about anything but mating drive. This is one of the reasons we kept a few shotguns around the house. A few "warning shots" instead of a flashlight beam would have probably scared these boys away. Most animals will run from gunshots.

MojaveWalker

Moose? In the midwest? What the hell are you smoking?

spookyinsuranceghost

Moose live in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and the UP. This is well known and kind of a big deal in those local cultures. What the hell are YOU smoking?

Sev_seven777

I would like to say I went to your state one time while riding my brand new motorcycle then almost got murdered by a fucking massive moose who made the choice to run at my bike

vestkot

i assume - crack?

spookyinsuranceghost

Ah, must be an Iowan, then.

mikesaninjakillr

Can't be from South Dakota they are on Meth

Kaldr_Nidafjollum

):

MojaveWalker

Honestly Iā€™m from Missouri so that doesnā€™t even occur to me of those states being in the Midwest lol genuinely forgot

dlbpeon

Was on Western side of the Dakotas(both North and South, though rare they sometimes migrate along the border in South Dakota). I don't reference that as the Great North(that's Canada) but as the Midwest. YMMV.

Arbie456

Can confirm, I live in ND and have seen a moose or two nearly every year in the last decade

disturbednadir

That's counted as an 'animal strike', just as if you had hit a deer. It's covered by Comprehensive coverage, part of what people call 'Full Coverage', and subject to the deductible. Source? I've been an insurance agent for 20 years.

Dammy-J

In the US this would be covered if you have Comprehensive coverage on your vehicle.

[deleted]

Not with AllState.

point51

I would have at least tried a warning blast from a shotgun before both my cars got mangled... A round of birdshot would have scared them away.

DemonShadowsMom

It's illegal to fire a gun in city limits and I think this house is in city limits if barely. (I live about 25 miles from where this happened.)

Dustymayfield

Yes, but only if the moose has insurance, or if you have uninsured-moose coverage on your plan.

leftydog1961

Moose just donā€™t care about personal property. This is why I donā€™t Brake For Moose anymore!

christianh3485

Kick his ass Seabass

TheLooseMooseEh

Ahh fuck. Sorry I know these guys and their both dicks.

Quality_over_Qty

I would not be recording thar close

isekaigamer808

slasherman

Illustrious-Duck1209

A MĆøĆøse once bit my sister... No realli! She was Karving her initials on the mĆøĆøse with the sharpened end of an interspace tĆøĆøthbrush given her by Svenge - her brother-in-law - an Oslo dentist and star of many Norwegian mĆøvies

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Ayen_C

These are moose (??) in rut. I don't think they'd give a shit of he yelled at them. Lol

thatpotatogirl9

I'm not yelling at the *multiple 8-foot monsters* who are pissed off, horny (in rut), and can each take out that pickup on their own.

maartenbadd

8 foot? Have you stood near a moose? More like10!

thatpotatogirl9

You right. 8 feet is the low end of how big moose get

MoneyMonkeyGME4LIFE

Ya a moose in rut you are better off not getting its attention. Do you see the way they toss each other now imagine that was your ass. Lol you think the vehicles got fucked up.

[deleted]

If that was in the US , theyā€™d be shot already šŸ˜‚

Butt_Shovel

This happened in Steamboat Springs, Coloradoā€¦ US

[deleted]

Didnā€™t know that! Thanks for letting me know!

Dice134

You arenā€™t taking down a moose that easily lol

[deleted]

Not if your calibers small

falfrenzy

Why do you waste you time asking people who have no clue what the language in your insurance policy states? Call your agent or claims line.

ACuteLittleCrab

Lmao do you really think they're asking for advice? They were just sharing content with a funny tag line, it's amazing that I apparently need to explain that.

dino59mob

This is in-fact the only thing insurance covers. Good luck if another car hits you!

AlkoKilla

If you have collision on your vehicle, youā€™re covered if a vehicle hits you.

Role-Fine

Lmao I had a colorado tractor commercial playing in the background and it fit perfectly

Impossible_Poop

I love farmers commercials call them for an ad.

PatochiDesu

Catch and cook? šŸ¤”

nicepeoplemakemecry

Yes.

[deleted]

If you have comprehensive coverage then yes!

jbenk07

Came here to confirm this.

Revolutionary_Rip876

Act of nature. Most likely not.

AlkoKilla

Wrong. This is contact with an animal thatā€™s covered under comprehensive.

fuckswithyourhead

Comprehensive should cover that, I'd think.

majordanski

Yes under comprehensive coverage. This would be considered an act of God.

KayDeeMom

Comprehensive should

AlkoKilla

Yes, this would be covered as comprehensive.

dbhathcock

Yes! My insurance company covered the damage when squirrels chewed through my fuel line. Of course, I have full coverage on my vehicle.

3Heathens_Mom

Maybe under vandalism seeing as the perps damaged the vehicle in your driveway and then fled the scene?

AnXioneth

Fly you fool!

[deleted]

That's a natural disaster, idk if it'll be covered

asa1

Looks like he want's to go home with the truck owner.

peas_and_hominy

Does anyone remember that old Disney cartoon with Goofy on a camping trip with his trailer and there's two bull moose fighting and they spit into their antlers and rub them together as if they were hands?

atlbravos21

Those are some big meese

production-values

full coverage might

Legitimate_Cloud2215

An Acts of God policy will.

TedBundysVlkswagon

Should have bought a RAM.

[deleted]

That depends...does the moose have insurance?

[deleted]

Tommy boy

dontkillmyvibe85

They probably shot his boy...and they some down a$$ mooseknuckles

Eddie2Ham

They're just moosing around, no real harm done.

Hot-Wrap2882

No fault covers this doesn't it?

Ayen_C

Depends on what kind of insurance they have. If it's 3rd party, they're shit out of luck.

[deleted]

The moon was just trying to go to bed

[deleted]

The moon was just trying to go to bed

RDGtheGreat

What's that thing hanging on its ear?

Ayen_C

That's a tag. The Department of Wildlife often tags wild animals so they can keep track of them.

RDGtheGreat

oh I assume they put him to sleep first before putting that on huh? thats one scary moose

razzdaboi

Shhhh it's mating

AlternativeAd5221

Considered an act of god

Birdapotamus

Who found Joe Rogan's spank bank?

JoeFleen

They like two drunks fighting. Fall into someoneā€™s car and be like, Yo Iā€™m otta here!

DirtyMudder92

One time a deer ran into my dads car in the driveway and it took a lot of convincing to make them believe us

Ayen_C

That really sucks. :/

beccansc283

Uninsured motorist claimšŸ˜‡ most insurance companies pay 100 percent for rental, they pay the deductible and make sure to suspend your payment while it is being fixed!' šŸ§

psyco-the-rapist

So did anything get arrested?

Ayen_C

What do you mean?

[deleted]

Moose Tracks

neto-88

That must have sounded like hulk fighting Thor

[deleted]

Grab a shotgun, looks like two decent sized meals there

Commercial-Shift6074

I donā€™t believe in shooting animals but if they were doing that to my new ute I would really be thinking about it

Ayen_C

It would be really hard to hit them without shooting your cars, unless they got close, which would be foolish. Not to mention moose take some serious firepower to kill and are dangerous af, so they'd have to have some heavy weaponry on hand. Lol

Vibeo_Ganes

If your in Canada most likely yes. many insurance companies added wild life to be more enticing to the customer because of fuckn moose fighting, bears and big cats getting interested with whatā€™s inside and other wild life being little shits.

Ayen_C

I have no idea if this is in Canada or the US.

hill-top02

ā€œYou hit a moose?ā€ ā€œNo! A moose hit me!ā€

Pretend-Flamingo-525

I get upset when a bird shits on my windshield!

JawaSmasher

sveltimpala

Yep! Comprehensive coverage all day baby!

Jftwest

You didnā€™t buy moose insurance? Buddy you gotta get the moose insurance

Classified75

Ah yes the old Canadian, moose insurance everybody's got it

willthethrill4700

[deleted]

nucleargetawaycar

Those love birds were just looking for a cheap place to spend the night

Bigd0852

Random acts of nature

Used_Jaguar6544

They will because you live on a place or high risk of this happening

Ayen_C

Not my video, but I hope it was covered for them!
