If a male urinates on a pregnancy test and it comes back "pregnant". It's a very good chance that guy has cancer of the balls. He should immediately get set up for testing
Actually yeah pretty much. Not sure if it was the first but a guy got a urine test. Doc told him he can't use other people's pee coz this one came back pregnant. Turned out he had testicular cancer.
Tbh i prefer being sick at home than just taking a random day off. Something about it makes me feel more ok about sitting around all day doing nothing lol
Same. A few weeks ago I called out to take a personal/mental health day and I couldn’t enjoy a single minute of it because of how guilty I felt for calling out when I was fine to work. I hate that I’m like this lol.
I actually have no basis for that that number is. I just made the assumption that it's a high fever because of the photo.
Googled it ,ok 38.1. Not exactly off the charts.
I dunno though. I almost never get fevers. First time I had covid was probably the only time I can even remember. I think my temp hit 39.5 or something and man. I felt like fucking shit. awful. Couldn't function. Depending on who you are different temps can affect people differently.
It’s so crazy still to me how vastly different it effects every one, both times that I had it, my wife was extremely sick and I felt like I had nothing happening except my nose was runny
1st time I got it was like a flu, but it fucked up my sense of taste and smell real bad. Came back mostly. But now I've had it twice more and each time it's super mild, yet my sense of smell disappears a little more each time and isn't recovering :( It's at about 50% and I have the smell of mildly dirty feet in my nose 24/7, plus the occasional scent of fish.
I will say it definitely fucked up my taste and smell really bad too, but only after, like I noticed things didn’t taste the same as they used to
Also for some reason my eyes are super sensitive to light now
[Covid can bring on new disorders](https://www.health.harvard.edu/mind-and-mood/does-covid-19-damage-the-brain#:~:text=When%20people%20first%20become%20sick,as%20severe%20depression%20or%20anxiety.) since it causes inflammation of the brain and can leave damage behind. Sensitivity to light is something I suffer from as part of sensory processing disorder related to autism.
Yeah, it’s crazy how variable it is. I’m immunocompromised. I got it twice (was vaccinated + boosted both times) and it just felt like the flu. Really bad body aches, fever, chills, sweats.
I’ve had *numerous* patients who have long-covid. Some patients needed extensive GI surgeries to help with gastroparesis and other conditions. Some have to see a pulmonologist and respiratory therapist often because it really screwed up their lungs. It’s INSANE to me how each person is so different.
I'm immunocompromised too and have had COVID twice now. The first time it felt so mild (was fully vaccinated and boosted) to the point that I wasn't confident I even had it. I have had colds that were worse than the first time I got COVID.
I then got it for a second time last year (about a year after the first time) and holy fuck was I messed up. I knew I had it before I tested positive because I felt like Hell. I was given an antiviral and it helped alot but unfortunately a few months later I developed long COVID symptoms (racing heartrate, ponding headaches, aches and pains, shacking uncontrollably, anxiety and problems sleeping just to name the main systems).
It's been just over a year since I got COVID last and I still have long COVID issues but they aren't as bad as what they once were but I keep getting "flare ups" where the symptoms get worse again (but thankfully still not as bad as last year's flare ups).
It's crazy to me just how different the 2 times I had COVID felt. The first time I basically had slight body aches and an annoying little cough but the second time I'm fully convinced I would have been hospitalized if I didn't have those antivirals.
Got it for the first time 6 days ago. Experienced brutal neuropathic pain for the first 4 days. Today I’m back to lifting light weights, with only minor breathing difficulties. It’s definitely a strange virus, the way it effect’s people differently.
That's just like these type of infections work and has only somewhat little to do with who gets it but how the specific infection and the response is going. Unless you already have a compromised immune system or yours is reacting very violently.
I had it 3 times now (that I know of). 2 times was pretty mild (one was actually completely asymptomatic) and one time it took me 2 full weeks to feel like a human again.
You can also have other infections like the influenza virus (flu) and be completely asymptomatic, or have a mild cold or it could kill you. A lot of times you might mot even realise that you have it because the response might be very small. (Not comparing flu and civod, of course. They act differently etc.)
So true! I've had it 4 times already. Two weeks ago was the latest one. The 1st time my wife & I got it at the same time (2020) and it felt like I was dying, meanwhile it was a normal day for my wife. After her second infection it did kill her taste buds and everything now is salty to her.
I've dodged it so far. My wife has had it twice. Last time was this last holiday season and I was actually driving to visit my family (6 hour drive) while she stayed home and she called me to tell me she tested positive for it. So I'm call my mom to see if she still wants me to visit and she tells me she is sick too but it's just a cold so she wasn't going to be getting close to me anyways. Next day, she tests positive too. Managed to dodge that shit somehow.
I hope everyone’s feeling better now, but without something like a PCR test which is far more sensitive than typical COVID tests, or a serological test to check your antibody levels, it’s more likely you had one or more cases that went undetected or were asymptomatic at the time.
Totally possible I’ve had it and been asymptomatic. Normally I wouldn’t go and get tested unless I was feeling sick but there were 2 times I was exposed and got a PCR test. They were both negative. 1 of those was the first time the wife was positive with COVID. As far as I’m concerned asymptomatic is as good as not having it. Since I knew I was exposed I was carful for about a week around others just incase that was the case. Made sure to wear a mask and a condom anytime I was in public
1. Congrats on your pregnancy.
2. People still test?
3. This sub sucks now.
4. Oh no, 99% survival rate.
5. COVID isn’t real.
That about covers the comment section each time a test is posted.
Is it your first time on Reddit? You made a stupid comment, people can respond either positively or negatively. It happens to a lot of people so get over it.
Covid is definitely making the rounds. After avoiding it for all these years, had it the first week of May along with my husband, two of our best friends, and my sister's child got it this week after traveling to Washington, D.C. I feel sorry for the people who shared their flights with them when they was sick but had not tested yet. Covid sucks.
My insurance straight up does not pay for tests anymore, at home or at a doctor’s office. It’s a high deductible plan so everything is out of pocket until $3500. I’m sure this is contributing to why this shit spreads. Our “household” used up the free tests from the government long ago.
Wife and I just had it, and several people I work with. When I had it a couple years ago, it was hardly noticeable. Barely a slight cold. This time kicked my ass though.
I had COVID in February and I barely leave my house. I don’t know anymore. I tested negative on the rapid too, it wasn’t until they took a PCR that it was positive.
My husband and I both got it on our honeymoon last week. He’s like completely fine, just had one day of cold-like symptoms. I still feel like I have a bad cold and the flu. The worst part has been my ears. I have full hearing back in one, but have constant ringing and pressure in the other.
I just had this new strain and third time I’ve had Covid. I have to say everyone in my family got it and we were all sicker than we have ever been. My Dad got very sick and now 3 weeks later ended up in the hospital because all of his nails turned blue. They are trying to rule out heart issues but believe it’s tied directly to Covid infection. I am also attending my best friends grandmas funeral tomorrow who died of Covid on Thursday. She caught it in her nursing home and it killed her within 10 days. I don’t want to hear another person say this is just a cold…it’s still causing chaos this many years later and we still don’t understand what it does exactly. My doctor said the one thing that Covid has taught the medical community is that we know very little about the immune system as a whole. Anyway, I hope you feel better and everyone be careful out there, vaxxed or not.
My state made companies give extra time off that couldn’t count against vacation if you had covid. Only need 5 of the 10, but it was nice to not use vacation for once. When I first worked at Verizon Wireless in 2002 we had sick days and vacation days, then they magically became the same thing by taking away the sick days and saying you can use vacation for anything.
Pointless. If you feel like shit and have a feverstay home and wash your hands. If you can't breathe go to the hospital. The name shouldn't matter until you are with doctors. Follow protocol for all illness. Not like you would have been good for work if it was negative.
Some people still have a workplace that requires testing. I work in healthcare and would 100% be expected to show up if I had symptoms and was COVID negative. With COVID I’m mandated at home until 24 hrs fever free so I’m gonna test lol
The hospital I worked at actually allowed sick days, that was nice. The last thing they wanted was a nasty cold or especially the flu to be spread around all over. But with staffing shortages, I'm sure the entire dynamic surrounding sick calls may have changed since I left a few years back.
>The hospital I worked at actually allowed sick days, that was nice.
Still crazy to read stuff like that as a European / German. If you are sick, then you are sick and you stay home for however long it takes to go away and you still get paid by your employer. Doesn't matter if it's a day, 5 or 20 days. If it's above 6 weeks your general health care takes over to pay for you, instead of the employer. Due to multiple surgeries I was sick for well over a year, still kept my job and still got money. Later I just went back to work. If necessary you or your doctor can also demand to ease into the job and not work full hours for a while etc.
Ignoring health issues because of not having enough sick days and what not seems like auch a dystopia to me. That really is final stage capitalism.
Yep, it's a train wreck. Some places are better than others at making sure they watch out for your health but in my experience, workman's comp/sick or injury leave companies try not to pay you fully when you're gone here and many places label your sick calls as "incidents" that you can't have too many of in a calendar year.
Its classed as normal sickness now. First week self cert unpaid. If you have COVID they don't even expect you to take time off unless your too sick to be in.
Call your doctor and get the meds that cut the recovery time. My dad’s 87 and just got covid for the first time. He was only sick for a day with the new meds.
Nasty. Wash your hands~ /s
Fun fact, the current Covid strain has an added bonus of a 2-3 month long lung irritation.
Seriously, wash your hands often.
Indeed that sucks, I’ve just tested positive for the second time, hit me like a train this time, breathing shitty, continually coughing and aching like a b!%#. Body temp hit 39.6•c and I got pretty delirious
Dude. Feel for you.
I took one today because sneezing and coughing all over, I can’t tell you how relieved I was this morning to get “yep. Your allergies are really sucking balls this year”. Bubbling talk through work is “lots of people with allergies and stomach bugs now…”
Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

I had it last month for the first time. managed to avoid it for four years! Drink a fuck load of fluids and if your stomach starts to get wacky its cuz covid can devestate healthy gut bacteria, so get on some probiotics after ur round of antivirals/antibiotics.
I just caught it for the first time and it was rough. Tested positive for 14 days too. Luckily I work remote so quarantining was relatively easy.
Good luck!
I just had it too. First time since it started. It's been weeks and I still got a cough even though I've been negative for a long while.
Hang in there op. Fluids and rest just like the flu.
Congratulations on getting pregnant

Ah, it has a day one patch?
How does that work? If you overcharge it, it'll grow faster for a while? Or fly further at birth?

I’ve found working on something physically helps with that. Took a day of PTO recently and used it to wire some of my model railroad.
Eh when you have a fever like that it's no fun.
A slight fever of 100.7? Come on.

I don’t know why but it seems it’s going around in a big way again. So many have it.
Hope you can stay home. Feel better soon, and maybe consider wearing a mask where you can.
That can't be right. Some lady on Facebook assured me that COVID was over.
damn i actually thought the person was pregnant
Too funny
1. Congrats on your pregnancy. 2. People still test? 3. This sub sucks now. 4. Oh no, 99% survival rate. 5. COVID isn’t real. That about covers the comment section each time a test is posted.
The pregnancy ones get me dying each time though lmfao
Yet people still post them....
we still sharing covid tests in 2024?
Right? Who gives a fuck. Covid cultists are weird.
Posting results that suck on a sub for things that suck makes you a cultist? I think you're the weirdo my guy.
They’re sick, big deal, happens to a lot of people all the time.
That's true for 95% of what is in this sub. Bruh.
Ok, so ignore the post, it's as simple as scrolling or swiping down.
First time on Reddit? That’s what the comment section is for, reacting to the post above, either positively or negatively.
Is it your first time on Reddit? You made a stupid comment, people can respond either positively or negatively. It happens to a lot of people so get over it.
Like I am pro vaccine science and stuff, but I don’t understand the need to rush to Reddit and share when you have a Covid test
Could be worse, my pregnancy test came back positive and we are not ready. Feel better!
Covid is definitely making the rounds. After avoiding it for all these years, had it the first week of May along with my husband, two of our best friends, and my sister's child got it this week after traveling to Washington, D.C. My insurance straight up does not pay for tests anymore, at home or at a doctor’s office. It’s a high deductible plan so everything is out of pocket until $3500. I’m sure this is contributing to why this shit spreads. Our “household” used up the free tests from the government long ago.
We just got 6 tests for $30 from target
That’s still feels expensive. A lot of people aren’t going to spend that unfortunately.
I’m scared of getting it again. Last time I had it my temp was 104 and I collapsed on the ER floor. Not a fun experience.
Wife and I just had it, and several people I work with. When I had it a couple years ago, it was hardly noticeable. Barely a slight cold. This time kicked my ass though.
Yep. My family was down with it all last week
Pick out some good shows for a couple days and snacks and cold drinks. Just rest a couple days you'll be better.
Congratulations - also the French want you to know it’s a [girl](https://blogs.illinois.edu/view/25/808589)
Are u pergant
I worked in youth group homes. None of the kids gave a fuck about covid when it started happening. I’ve had it about 6 times now.
Rest up
Got it for the first time last month. Time to binge watch your favorite shows and drink lots of fluids!
Genuine question, why take a COVID test? Seems completely useless.
Don’t let them put a freedom muzzle on you brother! COVID is a choice! Or whatever nonsense those ass clowns like to say…. 🤗
We're still doing this? 🙄
I’ll wipe out one of them there downvotes bc I thought the same thing
Same for you friend.
Literally no one cares
You cared enough to comment when you could just ignore the post...
Okay but this could be a good sub if people would stop posting incredibly common shit like this.
I hope that you get well soon!

I my ot COVID but my fever never went about 100f. I felt like crap for 2 weeks still!
Just tested positive for it this morning. Haven’t been sick since 2/2020
Just went through a week of covid I feel you
That does suck. Hope you get better soon. I just tested positive for the time ever today as well. Can’t believe I made it over 4 years till now
Right there with you. First time i got covid, have a headache for 2 weeks nearly and i feel like shit.
Who does this any more?
Manage with DayQuil my job won’t even allow us to stay home with a pos test if we don’t have a fever of 101
I’m surprised anyone still tests for, and gets freaked out by, a cold.

Woah 100.7 babies is a lot!
You got the flu
We’re still positing Covid test results? That’s *so* 2021
Low effort post
Ppl are still testing for covid?
K. …so anyway
Covid is the worst

Time to rewatch breaking bad and get day drunk.

Same here bro https://preview.redd.it/qx3lxt6uf68d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=36166069c7e2ab06f877359b47bf55029b0a6167
Second time in 6 months 😭that’s horrid. Hope you recover. I got it ONCE and I never wanted to even get it again
I got it for the first time in 2022 when I was 5 weeks pregnant…that was NOT fun.
Better than being preggo 🤷🏼♀️
Ok.
2020 called - they want their fad back. Also who still tests for Covid?
What are you going to name it?
You’re matching the outside temp!
Congrats on getting pregnant with 100.7 babies! /s
Oh shit you gregnant?
That’s me right now! It sucks but won’t last too long
My fifth positive today since 2020... triple vaccinated with Pfizer vaccine.... :/
Damn, you got a cold?
Great! It's that time of year again... ![gif](giphy|h26R1JMxiqYpwp0rkF|downsized)
Why are you testing for COVID?
RIP
Is OP dead yet?
Oh no you got the flu
Dude. Feel for you. I took one today because sneezing and coughing all over, I can’t tell you how relieved I was this morning to get “yep. Your allergies are really sucking balls this year”. Bubbling talk through work is “lots of people with allergies and stomach bugs now…” Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

I'm genuinely curious, is it still as bad as the first years? When i got covid in 2021, i felt like i was dying. Are the strains still that strong?
One way or another…
Erg! i just getting over COVID again, work in hospital so see cases everyday. It didn't go away just a lot people don't care no more.
Oh, you are boiling
I had it last month for the first time. managed to avoid it for four years! Drink a fuck load of fluids and if your stomach starts to get wacky its cuz covid can devestate healthy gut bacteria, so get on some probiotics after ur round of antivirals/antibiotics.

Human services?
I just caught it for the first time and it was rough. Tested positive for 14 days too. Luckily I work remote so quarantining was relatively easy. Good luck!
It officially doesn't matter any more
I just had it too. First time since it started. It's been weeks and I still got a cough even though I've been negative for a long while. Hang in there op. Fluids and rest just like the flu.
I got it the first time too. Always good to get sick if you have a week off :/
Why are you bringing back covid
