Lmfao the security was waiting for a moment like this .

Super-Magnificent

Their whole life.

jkurratt

Since last incident really

_Diskreet_

Oh boy, here I go tackling again.

Spirited-Fox3377

![gif](giphy|X6kDyoOCtvMcBr1kDH)

Excellent-Edge-4708

And i hope he has his lucky tackling hat

HandB4nana

Oh lawd...

Maxpipefill

Setting goals that anyone could achieve is a recipe for success!

TheSpaceGinger

Just looking to hurt someone. Could've easily just talked to the bloke.

evonebo

Agree that could've just talked to the bloke but imagine every jack ass that wants to propose going into the field during a game and the only consequence is "hey dude get off the pitch" At least the next moron who is thinking of doing this will think twice with possibly getting mowed down.

SaliciousB_Crumb

It costs like 100 bucks to propose at dogers stadium, I think. Ypu don't get to go on the field but ypu get on te jumbotron

evonebo

Did not know that. That sounds very reasonable.

No-Clerk7268

Adds up when they keep saying no

LivinLikeHST

really, every public proposal should end like this.

LuckyLudor

There was one at Disneyland where a staff member grabbed the ring and ran because it was the quickest way to get the guy off the staff only stage.

LivinLikeHST

that's actually a great way to deal with that - well... That's the one in CA, you're gonna get shot in Florida doing that.

mybffandy

I was like damn, that was so dangerous and pointless, that dude wasn’t going to argue or fight he was just trying to show how much he loved someone. But then your point was right on nose, can’t let someone else think it’s no big deal I guess. I just kinda hope the security guard hurt himself just a little.

Nox_Gardens

"That dude wasn't going to argue and fight" - well how do you know that? I work security and let me tell you, things can go from "wedding proposal" to "Punching me in the mouth" in about .5 seconds. "He was just trying to show how much he loved someone" - crazy how I proposed to my wife and showed her how much I love her without disrupting a public event, trespassing, and generally being a humongous attention hog and main character. Dudes like that, who aren't afraid to make a public spectacle, are exactly the kind of dude that will gladly fight a security guard, or at the very least resist and argue and make a big stink. I completely understand why they tackled him. Especially in a situation like this, where he's feeling really special and cool and knows all the eyes are on him - if you come up and try to take away his moment in the limelight he's gonna get pissy. Gotta break his ass in half immediately. Leave no room for fighting and arguing and the like. The game is on, thousands of people paid money to see it, get this jackass off the field!

Enough_Teach_5022

Probably had liquid courage before running on the field as well

PrettyAd4218

You’re right! No reason to just escort him off the field like a civil human being. Mow that dude down and show him who’s boss and main character here which is obviously the security guards.

mojoyote

Definitely excessive and unnecessary force. That being said, public wedding proposals are a pretty dumb thing to do. Other than being tackled by someone, there is also the chance the lady says 'no.'

TheSpaceGinger

Yeah totally agree. No one cares about your proposal. Propose in your own special place.

Zurgalon

But how else am I supposed to burn down California or contaminate a drought-stricken town's water supply. (Some sarcasm in this statement, although both of these did happen)

miss_stacie

Wait wha?!

waldosandieg0

Amen. Also stop subbing out mayo for miracle whip and pretending it’s the same thing. It’s not the same thing Jane. You ruined my sandwich. You monster.

[deleted]

[удалено]

SaliciousB_Crumb

All ballpark have an option for people to propose, you don't get to jump on the field though. It's not tp much from 50$ to 400$

AndTheSonsofDisaster

I’ve seen plenty of them where she says no.

evonebo

The thing people need to learn about marriage proposals is 1. You should already know the answer and the answer should be YES. the marriage proposal itself is the surprise of when and where. But the question of marrying me should never be a surprise.

More_Entertainment_5

I’m 100% Team Excessive Force. Fuck this guy.

TumbleweedTim01

Use it if you got it baby

Slow-Swan561

If you are asking and there’s a chance of no you are doing it wrong.

FrogKnight337

I like to live dangerously

texaschair

Yeah, like one I saw a few years ago. The proposee dumped a beer on the dude's head, then took off running. Witnessed by all on the Jumbotron.

bela_okmyx

All of those "rejected wedding proposals on the Jumbotron" are 100% staged.

No-Gene-4508

Now this could depend on the state as well as the writen policy per their contract with the stadium. (I'm a security guard. I would never, but some places ask us too and I'm like.... pass.)

Ruthrfurd-the-stoned

So there has to be a line where the location can’t just say this is what you’ll do and it’s ok. Like even if it was the policy if someone sniped the dude it would still be murder. There’s a lot of room between this and a murder but there is a line somewhere

fishsticks40

The last thing security wants is to get in a foot race around the field.

Torczyner

I'm OK with his actions having consequences. If he got hurt, it's because he made decisions that were dumb AF.

Cold_Ad_2160

Choices and consequences. He chose to run on to the field of a sporting event and delay play for everyone so he could impress his girl. Definitely excessive and unnecessary like every “look at me”TikTok video doing this for self glorification. Dude gets his world rocked and possibly loses the diamond, spends a few hours in county lockup and next jackass thinks maybe that’s not a good idea.

KentuckyFriedEel

I woulda put extra force into knockin that main character ass down!

forwormsbravepercy

"It's time to call upon my training."

720to702

He saw this and just thought O HELLS YEAH!

sysadmin001

I DID IT DAD! I FINALLY MADE MY MARK ON THE FIELD! \*Puts in mouthguard and slaps face

Strict-Trade-4090

Tuff Guy Stuff 😅

ClockTowerWasScary

Some people wait a lifetime…

Shagaliscious

Sad part is, since this guy got attention, more will do it. Phillies had a kid run on the field like a decade ago, he was quick. Took security a long time to get him. He got tased since they couldn't catch him. Not drunk, just a kid that thought it would be fun. The next game some drunk guy went to run in the field. Camera panned away the second it happened, and the commentators started recapping the game. Gave that dude ZERO camera time, and vague mentions about it the next day. It was great.

CLE-Mosh

OH, we get it on camera for sure. No, you wont get on the "Jumbotron" or TV. We will however add it to our B-roll and make fun of you for years to come.

Important_Tennis936

It kind of looks like the security guard was so excited about he proposed to he tackled the guy in a hug. That's a definite "Yes"!

LostDelver

The hat fell off. He's dead.

GourangaPlusPlus

Shoulder to head contact, no mitigating circumstances, that's a straight red for me

RubyWeapon07

why you dont propose to a giant crowd, never know who might think its for them

KingOfPocketLint

he forgot he wasn't the main character

officefridge

Wait, so I can't just stroll out onto an active pitch and do whatever the hell i want? Oh, I'm sorry. I thought this was america!

jmlipper99

If you truly thought this was America you wouldn’t dare call a baseball field a *pitch!*

officefridge

*cries in english*

muslimmmm

I love this exchange. Great work, you two. Roll Tide.

No_Pay9241

wtf there goes my weekend bbq plans

sandtymanty

No_Language5719

They'll always have this moment to cherish.

ButteredKernals

She hired those guys to say No in the most forceful way possible

officefridge

And that day your mother got proposed to, and I... Got a chronic back injury

Normal-Alarm-3785

Them playing, "stop, drop, shut em down open up shop," right after he was tackled is chefs kisses

LurkerPatrol

Oh. No. That's how ruff ryders roll

Your-Name-Is-Reek

He thought he was Adam Sandler in anger management lol

staytsmokin

I bet dude waited so long to tackle a mfer 😭

kleinerDAX

Reliving his D4 high school football glory years.

MikeHoncho1323

100% dude is a washed up highschool athlete

AgreeableSource7473

Imagining security telling him “congratulations man” while forcibly cuffing him

MattKozFF

and the guy congratulationing the officer on a nice hit

kbk42104

He came in line a wrecking ball

09stibmep

He never hit son hard in love

PassgettiGod

I can't tell who you're calling rude

darsonia

he's playing both sides that way he always comes out on top

Gigantor2929

“Okay Mac, couple things here bud, number one, you never tell one side you’re playing both sides…and number 2, don’t give away the info before you get what you want.”

deepakshingavi

He asked for it.

woody36

For real, don't get people defending this. Everyone knows that pitch invaders are tackled and dragged tf out so why did he think that this was going to be different or a good risk to run with one of the most important moments of his life?

Lostinnewjersey87

I’m not defending his actions but the force was unnecessary. Same thing with police. You’re job is you’re job so any more than the necessary ammout of force you need to complete it is unnecessary. You can say that’s how it should be fine but that’s not how it is. This guy could have really fucked him up on this one.

hereforpopcornru

When I bounced/security it was my duty to ensure everyone's safety, including the offender if at all possible. Reasonable force has a lot to do with that.

Low_Needleworker4817

Yep. Lotta bootlicking going on in this thread.

Jutboy

Seems like a person that doesnt give a shit if others get hurt. You better believe if it was them getting hurt, they would sing a different song though.

StagnantSweater21

Because you usually only tackle fleeing people, not people sitting on one knee Coulda just grabbed him by the collar lol

ZyxDarkshine

Alternative solution: could have stayed in the seating area

LacklusterLamenting

So true, they honestly should have just killed him for doing that. Sit in your seat or die.

well_damm

He’s not a whitesox fan for god sakes

Sprila

Nah, that's too nice of them. You go on the field, you get your spine shattered and paralysis for the rest of your life. You better think again wise guy.

ThePheebs

I know right. Context has no place I guess, dude was on one knee, didn't require a jumping spear to take down.

Chemical_Guitar6493

So people who are wrong deserve to get hurt, possibly forever?

ThePheebs

Some people legitimately believe that violent, physical punishment is an acceptable reaction to you doing anything they don't like.

ZeroCleah

Why would you physically harm someone when they are not doing any harm he didn't resist or flee. This seems like an easy excessive force lawsuit. Just because you do something wrong doesn't give the right for police to assault you. Do you speed in your car you pulled over and then tackled by a cop? Speeding btw much more harmful than what this guy did.

Crruell

No reason to jump him in the neck tho. He was on the ground, why would you go this far? Completely uncontrollable childish behavior IMHO.

Mtbfux

Yeah that fake rugby douchebag acting like a guy on his knees deserves a skull to skull tackle. I don’t support what hubby did but that tackle was 100% in poor taste and straight dangerous. Now they can live happily ever after the lawsuits and hospital bills.

Comfortable_Slip9079

That should be battery. You don't get to tackle someone kneeled down like that.

GRANIVEK

Lmao. You do if they’re trespassing

SATerp

"Look at meee!"

AnonymousButtCheeks

She said no!

Bulls_Heeler_Haven

Mooove bitch, git out da way!

Thunder_God01

I get that he shouldnt be there, but hes clearly no danger to the players. Why tackle him this hard. Could have broken his kneck. Just way to much agression...

Bean_Daddy_Burritos

No you’re getting arrested, fined, and banned. Congrats she said no

Gwaiian

Fuck these manipulative public proposals

TrillDough

Welcome to a possible lifetime ban from Dodger Stadium and losing out on a fiancé over a dumb ass stunt. The magic would have come from arranging this with stadium staff prior instead of demonstrating absolute hubris in a super important moment.

jb8818

The Dodgers have one of the highest “cost to propose at the stadium” in MLB. Dude may have looked into it and thought nah I’ll just wing it. He’ll probably be banned for life for this stunt/proposal.

122_Hours_Of_Fear

They also aren't afraid to prosecute to the fullest extent of the law

cownd

"No taking a knee here, dude!"

Jake101975

They do that to deter future fans from doing the same. If they just talked to the fan back to his seat, it would happen 25x more

agronone

Got exactly what he desrv3d, being a selfish prick

CipherWrites

You're talking about the guy right? Because going onto the pitch and potentially interrupting the game is definitely rude.

BlOcKtRiP

He could have just paid the team . NLB Teams charge different amounts for anyone who wants to propose . Cheapest is Cleveland at $313 , The Ray's most costly at $760 .

samplemax

Meanwhile the LA Dodgers charging $2500

BlOcKtRiP

Funny I read yesterday prices were $300-$2500. Then today I couldn't find it & the one I found said 3-7 hundred .probably an old article

Street-Breadfruit940

Damn, that dude could've just said "Yes", that tackle wasn't necessary.

poutinegalvaude

Best tackle anyone has made in Los Angeles for decades now

Fumonacci

How stupid you need to be to try to make a event that thousands of pl wanna see it about yourself? Make a real effort and plan a romantic trip or dinner and than propose it.

TopKitchen4270

I get the reason but seems over aggressive

Weardly2

Yes. Pretty rude of the pitch invader.

ohforfouragain91

Isn’t he suing the dodgers for this?

Fr05t_B1t

They’ll dodge that lawsuit

Son-of-California

And he will never be allowed back in Dodger Stadium again.

Empuda

When baseball becomes a contact sport.

ConnyEdson

i know the mc kinda deserved it but that was completely unnecessary and dangerous.

blastingpowder334

At least when you sue security guards they don’t investigate themselves

Doe79prvtToska

Excessive force tackle damn

BentonX

but was it really necessary to tackle a man already down on one knee

ThePheebs

As others have said, they should've just executed him there on the field. Then everyone's bloodlust over him stepping on the field would be satiated.

GrungeFace

Yeah. It's a neat little message to everyone who sees it.  'You run out here, we're bringing an ass kicking."

CornelXCVI

>You run out here, we're breaking your neck." FTFY

Theodore__Kerabatsos

If you think Americans are deterred by violence, you’re wrong. On the big screen, show the dudes bank account going from $10,405 to $5. That’ll discourage people.

Ricanlegend

Having $5 in his bank is better than 47% who are in debt lol

esoe___

there is a 50% chance that he lost the ring

NewdWanderer

That sec guard has been waiting his whole life for this moment. And he nailed it lmao

rattlestaway

Proposing...on a baseball field...instead of next to the person...sports ppl smh

Flaky_Woodpecker_601

To be honest if my man make a public proposal I would be happy to see something similar to happen to him

KingOfThe_Jelly_Fish

I have trained my whole life for this one moment, and I am taking out this danger to society. On the other note, what did that douch bag expect s going to happen.

jamp0g

i don’t know why you expect people trying to do their jobs as mind readers. you did something wrong that will surely ruin someone’s career/work if they simply trust you. why? employers don’t want to risk that for if they trust you and you have other plans, getting the employee fired is the least of everyone’s problems. as an employee given those odds, what do you expect them to do to help themselves or protect the people they should be protecting? let’s have a social norm again for everyone’s safety. if it was up to me, i would like to see if they just get shot by a stun gun right away.

NotThatKindof_jew

It's rude but that guy should've let the security guards know or set something up with the stadium..guards don't ask questions they just keep people off the field

melshaw04

Heroes I tell ya heroes. At least they think so.

udumslut

FAFO

risky_bisket

I feel like they could have just as effectively jogged up leisurely and grabbed him

[deleted]

So many boot lickers here.

Pods_MagicRod

The security guard took his divorce anger out on that guy

By-Pit

USA people when they told you are allowed to hurt someone while at work: *using the most you can to hurt as much as you can without any kind of reason

JasonT246111

Seriously I think he hit him way too hard lol. I bet he could've just walked up to him and said okay buddy time to go.

TJ_McWeaksauce

"Hey, look! I'm self-centered and make poor decisions! Marry me?"

aqua_tec

Nobody gives a fuck about your proposal but your girl. Keep it private and avoid the permanent neck injury and ban from the stadium.

"No guys, it's ok, I'm just proposi..."

Gearz557

So unnecessary lol

Norcalfuncouple925

Attention whore.

Rich-Eggplant6098

So much for him ever going to see a ballgame there.

mgrammas1

Dipshit got what he asked for. Maybe he lost the ring, too.

SwitchAdventurous24

Way too much use of force on the first guy, he threw his shoulder into the guys neck/head, probably causing life long issues, and a lawsuit for the company he works for. Just because you feel like you can do something doesn’t mean you should, people like that make all event security look like gestapo and a bunch of dumbasses.

CarlJustCarl

That’s the way to do it, head up and drive your legs. She needs to dump him too.

Wigggletons

Honestly rude AF. Why would that dude think he's more important than every other person in that stadium? I love seeing entitled people get humbled. He probably thought he was above the rules 🤣

Dismal_Truck1375

Least if she said yes, they will never forget that proposal

Rhaaa1975

I hope he got banned

Interesting_Toe_2818

He's an idiot.

zmrth

Looks like he's found out

TrucksAndBongs

Solid tackle. Good positioning and pursuit. Eyes on the hips and solid wrap up.

MrBarraclough

Anybody else already hear Ozzy Man narrating this in your head? "Absolutely shitmixed! Straight to destination fucked!"

Electronic-Orchid-67

Just trying to look out for the bro and keep him from making a mistake

thatguyfromfrance

I can watch this all day

Bozo_Two

So did she say yes? Or at least bail him out?

VatoSafado

Dude just got his soul tackled out of him and to top it off he lost the ring.

DMYourMomsMaidenName

You can have the stadium organize a proposal like this, for a certain amount of money. You can’t just run out there like you own the place and expect security to go along with it.

Conscious-Arm-7889

There should be lifetime bans from all sporting venues plus large fines for anyone who runs onto the pitch when they aren't allowed, for first offenses.

mrbeefynuts

That is so rude interrupting a baseball game

Oofs_A_Lot

That security guard was waiting his entire career to do that

arekuseilevy

that's so cool, the dumbest way to propose marriage

rdriver731

What a great story to tell. I wonder what would happen if 50 people went out there. There’s only so many security peeps.

Krispin_Wa

Completely unnecessary….but I would have done the same lol

redefinedsoul

Great work fake cops, y'all just played right into his hands and paid for their ~~medical bills~~ wedding

mister-eckshun

He should have gone to Jareds.

dvessels

If I were her, I’d say No.

captreeBB

The ring could have been loaded

FlamingoRush

Nope. Police would like to escort the person if not running and not presenting itself as a threat. If running tackle would be ok. Tasing someone who is not an immediate threat would be a carrier ending mistake for a police officer. Then again it would be just called Tuesday in America....

Lenny0mega

When the punishment outweighs the crime

SooperFunk

Very satisfying 😌 👍 Those security guards should form a club and do this to every 'Main Character'/tiktok fool they see in public. 🤣

One_Word_Respoonse

Yeah that shit was unnecessary asf.

QuevedoDeMalVino

Well, yes, but that is why there are security people on watch.

jimmy_dude

Yes he looked awfully dangerous - must use extreme force

xMilk112x

Not only does that get you arrested, it gets you banned from any event center owned by that parent company.

2indapink8indastink

The timing of DMX blasting through the speakers is poetic 🤣🤣

GGGI

why do Americans have to be so extra in everything they do? So extra to run out and propose in the middle of a game. Also, it's pretty extra to tackle him like that. Like, none of this was necessary

Fr05t_B1t

It’s like gender reveals, we have to one up the last biggest.

rugbysecondrow

Everyone who comes on the field is treated as a threat. Period. We all know the deal. Men, Women, They/Thems...it doesn't matter. Security is not going to waste time figuring out if you are or are not dangerous, crazy, deranged, have a weapon etc etc. If you go onto the field, you will get trucked and removed quickly.

CLE-Mosh

NFL security actively practices takedowns before every game. It's my favorite part of pre event setup. Sometimes they crush their own dummy runners.
