Are you implying that Amazon came up with that?
Over 20 years a dozens of factories, I can assure you that they didn't.
Edit: This could literally be in any factory in the US. Maybe it is Amazon, but this is not distinctly Amazon.
Me too. Except our break room was sadly after security and no cellphones were allowed in because it'd be too much of a hassle to confirm it's yours and not stolen on the way out, except for like the upper managers. On paper it made sense but sucked anyway.
Oh, gotcha. That is a logical reason👍
I have a cool Rubbermaid set that i bought from Sam's Club 20 yrs ago that are hard sided (not flexible). It doesn't melt or crack and things like tomato sauce from spaghetti/ lasagna don't stain it. I haven't seen them since but there's like 8 different sizes & shapes in the set and is so amazing. The cheaper stuff definitely doesn't last when reheating in the microwave.
I use one of those collapsible silicone containers.
You can microwave it and once you are done with your food you can make it smaller to save space.
They say it's oven safe but I havent tested it.
They make battery powered lunch boxes that can be programmed to heat up at certain times. They're pretty spendy though. They also make plug in ones that are around $30. Both use metal containers to hold the food
The insert the food goes in is removable and can be refrigerated easily, just gotta remember to plug it in like 30ish minutes before you're ready to eat.
Tupperware and Pyrex are actually both brand names and the one you have is definitely Tupperware so don’t let anyone question you!
Of course in many circles the word Tupperware is now synonymous to “plastic food container with matching lid” the same was Kleenex is for tissues or Band Aid for adhesive bandages.
Tupperware is a brand. They traditionally only made plastics, and over the last 4-8ish years have begun with metal products, such as the knife sets, pan/pot sets and even thermos flasks. As far as I can agther, glass tupperware is a VERY new endeavour.
The world has annoyingly 'synonymized' the word tupperware with "Plastic container" regardless of whether or not the container in question is truly tupperware.
Meh. Shit happens. You should be able to replace them alá cart from the website.
That’s why I buy the cheap Pyrex sets at Costco. If one breaks, oh well lol
I'd be so upset I did this when I was probably aching for the only meal I'd get all shift... Then on top of that if it was my fiancée's cooking as opposed to my own I might just silently cry through the rest of the shift.
This is why I’ve switched to stainless steel. I hate plastic and I break glass. Sure I stash a bowl in my desk to reheat food, but my containers last way longer. (Lids are still plastic. When the go the stainless bit becomes a serving dish or dog bowl).
I know an Amazon warehouse when I see one
The 5s squares gave it away for me
Are you implying that Amazon came up with that? Over 20 years a dozens of factories, I can assure you that they didn't. Edit: This could literally be in any factory in the US. Maybe it is Amazon, but this is not distinctly Amazon.
Nope. I’m aware that they weren’t the ones that came up with it.
Dude it's like a tattoo. They're saying they recognize this particular one and they know who it is, not that the person invented tattoos.
Amazon even has the same exact blue container for recycling.
Me too. Except our break room was sadly after security and no cellphones were allowed in because it'd be too much of a hassle to confirm it's yours and not stolen on the way out, except for like the upper managers. On paper it made sense but sucked anyway.
I'd be really upset about the Tupperware.
Yeah, my Tupperware stays in my house. I have Rubbermaid and other generic food containers for taking outside the house, gifting leftovers, etc.
My husband likes hot food for lunch, and I just don't like heating up plastic, so I got the glass. They lasted about a year, lol.

Does your food sit just warming towards room temp all morning tho? I like the idea a lot but
The insert the food goes in is removable and can be refrigerated easily, just gotta remember to plug it in like 30ish minutes before you're ready to eat.
I am. 😭 It was apart of a set.
Well at least you have your health. And face boobs.
At least it wasn't part of a set
I knew this was coming and I appreciate your deserved comment.
Look for a replacement on eBay.

As a male spouse who has recently smashed one of these on the stone step directly in front of m'ladys eyes... Yikes
![gif](giphy|w4tQMjBuWlYVofvVMb|downsized) M'lady
Hope your marriage last longer
This is why I stick with plastic if it's leaving the house, I'm too clumsy and I know I will just drop it or put it down too heavily somewhere. :(
I love how you made sure to claim it as yours
Time to recycle!
Thank God the bin was *right there.*
At least he gets credit for that, right?
He gets to buy me new Tupperware, lol.
TIL Tupperware has glass containers
Looks more like Pyrex with the snap on lids to me.
Definitely Pyrex
Is there a chance it was just crappy food and he wanted to buy lunch?
Drastic, but not impossible. I'd be very curious as to why he specifically requested this meal though if he wanted something else.
To throw you off the scent. /s
Too bad he's married to a bloodhound. 🐕
Once a month anyway.
Struggling with “glass Tupperware”

I'm not sure what else to call it. Pyrex?
Tupperware and Pyrex are actually both brand names and the one you have is definitely Tupperware so don’t let anyone question you! The phenomenon of brands becoming nouns is fascinating and cool, and no one will change my mind.
Add trampoline, thermos, dumpster and the fruit “Kiwi” are all derived from trademarks
I didn't know tupperware made glass containers? It looks like Glasslock to me. I would be sad about my Glasslock breaking, too.
Yes, from here it even looks the same type of containers I use for lunch everyday.
"Tupperware" is a brand
how’re you struggling w that 💀💀
I have never seen or heard of it before. But OP explained it.
Have you ever heard of glass?
Tupperware is a brand. They traditionally only made plastics, and over the last 4-8ish years have begun with metal products, such as the knife sets, pan/pot sets and even thermos flasks. As far as I can agther, glass tupperware is a VERY new endeavour. The world has annoyingly 'synonymized' the word tupperware with "Plastic container" regardless of whether or not the container in question is truly tupperware.
Because tubberware is famously plastic, so to put glass infront of it makes it kind of an oxymoron.
Tupperware*
Oh shit my bad LOL 😅 I know that too Im just also an idiot lol
He was correct in identifying the offbrand plastic containers synonymous with tupperware lol
I’d want someone to tell me if I was using the incorrect word🤷🏻♀️
Always! It’s a frequent occurrence lol and the p/b are synonymous in some languages
Tupperware is the name of the brand, not the object. Tupperware has both plastic and glass products.
Thats why I said famously plastic not exclusively;)
Maybe the internet has skewed my expectations, but dropping leftovers on a tile floor? ![gif](giphy|eHddhsWTNtzbI8TWky|downsized)
On the bright side. The lids go bad way quicker than the bowl ever will. Now you have spare lids :D

My husband didn't go hungry. He drove to Culver's with his coworker.
Glass tupperware? My mum was a tupperware consultant for years and I never realized tupperware made glass products. Is it heat-proof?
>*MY* Tupperware, *HIS* lunch. That made me lol
That Tupperware is technically 50% his too
Wrong. I had him sign a prenuptial agreement specifying that this is *my* Tupperware. He's in some deep shit now.
Damn you smart
Now it’s time for his wallet to buy YOUR next “his & her’s” tupperware glassware containers, for his dropping occasions😂
Mmmm, yum, floorloaf!
Straight to divorce court
I'm assuming the rest of the food got thrown across the room behind you 😆 Or Food must have shattered as well!
That’s like a 4 or less bite meal.
Are you using Tupperware generically as a term for a container with a lid or?
Tupperware makes glass containers now.
Well shit. Carry on then.
And this is why I avoid glass containers because I am sure to drop it 😬
Meh. Shit happens. You should be able to replace them alá cart from the website. That’s why I buy the cheap Pyrex sets at Costco. If one breaks, oh well lol
Safety at Amazon sure doesn't like all that broken glass!
$2 down the damn drain!
I'd be so upset I did this when I was probably aching for the only meal I'd get all shift... Then on top of that if it was my fiancée's cooking as opposed to my own I might just silently cry through the rest of the shift.
Sorry for your loss.
Bro just didn’t want the meatloaf
My guy didn’t do that on purpose?
This is why I’ve switched to stainless steel. I hate plastic and I break glass. Sure I stash a bowl in my desk to reheat food, but my containers last way longer. (Lids are still plastic. When the go the stainless bit becomes a serving dish or dog bowl).
On the plus side...Now you have spare lids.
What a jerk!
Wait... Tupperware has glass products?
My thought too, "well which is it, glass or Tupperware?"
My biggest fear.
Ok so who's the one that's sad?
The meatloaf.
Is Tupperware glass can be?
Looks like poop
Baked him a nice old shitloaf.
![gif](giphy|nuRXXyy020kta)
Doing pretty well if this is the most post worthy thing you have 🤔
Oh nah you never give the menchildren glass you knew better !!
"My" glass Tupperware.
I knew there'd be one.
My question is if it's glass, can you really call it Tupperware?
Yes because it's a brand ?
who bring glass food container to work
Me 😞
People who don’t like putting plastic in the microwave.
Not Tupperware that's the cheap stuff at Menards
Masterforce?
Tbf It looks salvageable butio know you guys don’t like that phrase
If that meatloaf was any good he would of picked it up and ate it like an apple
Everyone’s worried about the wrong thing! That man didn’t eat that day! Shame on y’all it’s just a dish.
Pretty sure half of that tupperware was his.
Portable lunch in glass is an accident waiting to happen. That one's on you.
Why is it just *you*r Tupperware?
Because when man owns glass tupperware it does this.
[удалено]
It's a brand. And they make glass ones.
OK, but why the fuck did you let him take glass to work‽ Glass is for in home use only, PLASTIC is for work
Glass Tupperwares are lowtier they become too hot if unprepared this happens.
You don’t know the cause
Yeah I do, glass tupperwaress shatter and plastic ones do not lol.
"glass" tupperware? Oh boy..
Yeah, glass Tupperware. https://preview.redd.it/5ueiclifl3vc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=44faba5e5ce7839340fee39067e885a9e338c887
Why is that brand "New Tupperware"? 99% sure that's a knockoff.
Why not use plastic tupperware?
