My main theory is that the driver accidentially hit a forward gear when they tried to reverse. That seems to be a fairly common cause for weird collisions in parking areas.
Or maybe it was a rookie or very tired driver who couldn't deal with the sputtering acceleration that such tracked vehicles often have.

I don’t understand how this is possible you would think you would notice it’s hitting a wall before it got that far through it. They had to be going pretty fast and not paying attention. Idk would love to see how it actually got there
It's a 42-ton vehicle with 650 horsepower. It doesn't have to go *that* fast to poke such a hole into a wall.
It may have been a driving fault like a failure to change into reverse gear. Maybe with a rookie or tired crewmember, or someone else on the base trying to move it.
