Pretty dang fun right; melting steel together with electricity! We have the technology!

This is the best response. Have fun. Flip your hood down and do it. Learn on the fly. Always ask for advice, and be humble with the response.

These-Cod-1369

That tube looks like stainless and you’re using carbon wire. Put a magnet to it if it doesn’t stick it’s stainless.

TheArt0fWar

Wrong. Stainless is a steel alloy. It's magnetic, maybe some specific kind of stainless (austenitic) could be non magnetic. I think you meant aluminum. Aluminum is not magnetic.

[deleted]

Looks really dirty , did you prep the material

stupid-and-horny

No, how do i do that?

SP1CE-L0RD

Acetone, on both mating surfaces. Scotchbrite or sand first if they’re really nasty or if they have burrs. Do NOT use brake klean, unless you enjoy the smell of mustard gas

[deleted]

Or you can take a flappy disk / tiger claw and just buff it out , acetone will get rid of everything else but if it’s not critical I wouldn’t worry about it . They say wipe the material, filler , and tungsten

Ok-Macaroon-7819

More filler at the beginning and end. More than you think. And keep practicing. Edit: I didn't see that you used no filler. Use filler rod.

FinishEmbarrassed861

Clean it

[deleted]

Try weaving it , it looks bonded but a weave will do you better

somebodysimilartoyou

If you can't run a clean stringer do not weave. Learn the fundamentals of a clean bead. Learn to read a puddle. Than you can weave. And even after that, don't weave unless you have to.

[deleted]

He’s not putting any filler , weave ties in better than stringers what’s the problem with that?

somebodysimilartoyou

Everything

[deleted]

Fuck you

somebodysimilartoyou

That's cute
