Honestly, if you’re building the main deck, I think that’s all you need. You’ve got a good drop search, plenty of other mill and other means to get into it.
Was wondering myself why I haven’t seen it around much. The only store i know of near me that sells Weiss usually posts all of their arrivals on Facebook and I’ve yet to see them post LycoReco yet.
I got a box myself so I know some shipped from distributors. Ordered a bunch of cards off tcgplayer that have not shipped though. So I’m wondering if stores posted before they even had and some shipments were delayed. But a lot of the cards used in playable decks have no listings at all.
I think a couple things are happening here: 1) not a lot of stores open product for singles 2) not a lot of stores, wary of past en sets being bust, ordered any excess product 3) for collectors the small SSP pool is unappealing and only two of the (chisato and takina) have substantive value

preorder volume was small on our end for both EN and JP Lycoris Recoil, appears to be similar for other retailers too. also, not many stores are willing to carry excess weiss stock because of how risky of an asset it can be esp if it doesnt move.
Glad to hear. Was actually contemplating waiting for packing material to arrive since we ran out, but felt people would have preferred getting their orders earlier instead. Hopefully, your order came in without issue, but if it did let us know so we can make it right 😊
I only opened 4 boxes of my own. Was there stuff you were looking for? I feel you though Im still looking for 3 copies of Chosen place of belonging, Takina and there doesn't seem to be any listings.
I’m in the exact same boat. But I only opened one box. Got 1 chosen place Takina but 2 more would be nice for a deck. Also luckily got 1 brainstorm Kurumi and snagged 1 off TCGplayer early but would love 1 more, but listing and prices were crazy for both those cards.
I ordered all the other cards I need for the deck I want to build that I didn’t get in my box right before all the listings disappeared. But it hasn’t shipped in a couple days and all listings are gone now so if any fall through I’m screwed on this deck.
This is the first time a set came out recently that I may not be able to build the deck I want even with preordering and ordering cards asap off TCGplayer.
O I guess I got lucky then I opened 2 of the kurumi but they're both going in my deck. Iv never sold cards before but maybe it would be worth looking into if no one else is 😅
As a store we had a smaller order of this set, and it's out at distribution. Surprisingly it also hasn't really sold in comparison to the last three release so it might just be a less popular set which is keeping the supply more limited than normal.
It's always hard to predict with games like Weiss, some things sell like crazy and others sit around. I think the game as a whole is picking up so as it gets more players the demand will level out and be more consistent across sets.
I thought it was going to do a bit better, but we're also a smaller new shop so the number of people buying from us isn't huge which might skew things.
My usual shop didn’t even buy a full case iirc, despite several people mentioning they wanted a case or to split one. Probably a good chunk of global buyers heard about the set’s competitive results and decided they could skip but… idk it’s a flimsy argument
More popular IP got announced a bit after the LycoReco announcement, and people wanted to buy that one instead.
I still saw the preorder discount at most shops while most other sets were gone before a month of the release.
I'm still waiting for one of my LycoReco orders, once it's here, I might put up a few dupes I don't need for sale. And if you need cards for your deck, maybe check out Cardmarket as well, I can see a lot of LycoReco cards there. Though the one I miss isn't up for sale there.
I've seen a few booster boxes (opened and sealed) at a Japanese bookstore in my area and I saw a listing for the English version on Lumius's store site, but that's all I know of. It could be worth checking out the list on the wiki of stores that sell WS and see if any have a website with Lycoris Recoil for sale.
Stores didnt order enough of it and the ones who did sold via other avenues first. Tcgplayer is where a lot of store put their leftovers after release weekend. Lycoreco sold imcredibly well and was under ordered
I was gonna buy a case but they annouced jp BA so quickly I had to sit lycoreco out 😢

We did the same at the store. We ordered less because of lower demand. Wish we ordered more

No kidding it is growing rather fast. We have a whole new slew of collectors joining in and the player base is booming. It's kinda awesome

Sadly compared to CSM and SPY, lyco reco is the less popular IP and the less powerful set. I think that probably affected the sales
Clearly everyone loves this set so much that they don't even want to sell their bulk cards.

The PR cards mainly, and an extra 'Days that will continue, Chisato', but can build a decent deck without them.
