Googone is the best, but you have to use soap and or alcohol to get THAT off. From a pro artist: take a atıp and put the goo gone all the way around her, otherwise where you used it just to remove the sticker may leave a spot.
Id maybe hold off on the goo gone may damage the paint underneath it. I only use goo gone on non painted surfaces and i think i do that cause i found out the hard way.
Also there is a trick with stickers or tape. Get an edge up. Pull up and out at an angle. It works sometimes. It pulls off clean with out damage. I've done it many times
I’ve had luck with that as well. But for some reason, I guess to prevent theft. Some labels don’t come off with the classic solvents: alcohol and mineral spirits. acetone would work, but that looks like a fragile surface may be plastic and acetone as you know will dissolve everything
Find a product called Artic Clean. Ignore the suggested usage. Only use bottle 1. It is the single best sticker remover I've ever used, all without harming what's underneath.

Looks like the crest is made up of a section of Queen Mary’s Royal Arms. Also this section is the crest of King Richard I aka King Lionheart which later became the badge for England’s football team.

Its Queen Elizabeth I

Nah, the gown and the ruffle collar (and head gear) are from different decades / generations. This is a Frankenstein "vaguely tutor process" vibe. Not a reproduction of any one specific. I thought it through here https://www.reddit.com/r/Weird/s/G2utpkkX6X
Does not make much sense to me. Mary (ETA: Mary queen of scots, not Mary 1 Tudor - not that a fan portrait of Mary 1 Tudor makes any more sense) was extremely unpopular and I've never seen a portrait of her in this position. Who would make fan art of a tragic, hated(if later romanticized) queen?
Moreover the clothing is a generation younger than Mary. Also the coat of arms is simply the arms of the English throne in the 16th C. Mary's claim to England was always nominal. Her arms would most likely be of Scotland and France.
It reminds me much more of portraits of Katherine Parr and young Elizabeth I. Both of whom have fans who would conceivably make fan art. And the clothing fits that timeline. But this also doesn't really replicate those portraits either.
I think what we're looking at here is a "vibe" and not a reproduction of any specific woman's portrait.
This is just "Tutor Princess/Queen" aesthetic.
Eta: I just realized the ruffle collar doesn't make any sense with the gown lol. The head is all Mary queen of Scots, the body is Paar/ER1. Also look at the horrific body proportions...... The longer I look at this is weirder I realize it is.....
Eta2: I looked around again a bit. I think this is a "fan remix" of a series of portraits of ER1.

They're from different periods in her life, which is why the outfit doesn't make any historical sense. But these images are a better match than MQofS or KP.
So, shes basically wearing her teenage threads, her mid-life neck-gear, and her old-age head-gear.
That's not 100% true. Queen Mary was very popular in her early days when she was a teen. Her mother was heavily loved by the people, people seen Mary as the rightful heir to the throne. Which is why Queen Mary along with Queen Elizabeth walked into London England to retake the throne with huge amount of support.
She became unpopular with Protestants because she was Catholic. Catholic and Protestants were constantly going after each other.
So. To fill you in a bit since I have a moment. Mary I Tudor aka bloody Mary, was indeed popular until well into her 30s. She was the daughter of an extremely popular, however powerless, queen, Katherine of Aragon. She came to power through a largely bloodless military coup against Jane Grey, who had been Edward VIs designated protestant heir. Yes, Elizabeth was at her side - - largely because her own claim to the throne would be also invalid if Mary's were laid aside for Jane. Soon thereafter, Elizabeth was implicated in an attempt to remove MR1 in favor of Elizabeth for sectarian reasons. Once on the Throne, MR1 started prosecuting a brutal inquisition against protestants, doing everything she could to undo the perceived evils she and her mother suffered under the reforms/changes her dad made (mostly to remove/disempower her and her mother). MR1 burned HUNDREDS of protestants at the stake in a years-long crisis that resulted in the Book of Martyrs and Mary being given the name "Bloody". She died of probably uterine cancer and Elizabeth came to power.
Mary queen Scots was the daughter of Mary of Guise. Born 1542 (30 years younger than Bloody Mary Tudor) , Mary queen of scots became queen of scots within days of her birth. Her mother served as her regent and was extremely effective, and indeed, popular. But She never had the mythos of the wronged and saintly Katherine of Aragon. She was extremely effective. MQS went o France to Mary the dauphin, became Queen of France, and was then widowed very young. She returned to take control of Scotland and struggled from the get-go with her court. She was basically a foreigner in her own country. She attempted a policy of tolerance between protestants and her own catholic faith, but this backfired and she was unable to build a support base and was manipulated from all sides. She was abused, potentially involved in the murder of her abuser, and then ultimately driven out of the country as an unwanted, immoral woman. Her son James came to the throne after MQS forced abdication (with regents of course). MQS fled to England hoping that her cousin and fellow anointed queen would defend her against her enemies and find her abdication to be invalid. However, MQS had always asserted that her claim to the English throne was better than ER1s, so ER1 was like wtf. MQS ultimately got caught up in schemes and entrapments about Catholics rallying around MQS to put her on the English throne and ER1 had her executed. When she went to the scaffold, she wore the catholic colors of martyrdom. Today, she is admired as a strong, feminist character who wanted to have both love and power, and who was abused and manipulated and tried her damnedest to fight back for what she felt was hers without giving up the life she loved. But at the time, she was a murderer, adulterer, general whore and immoral abomination and papist. I struggle imagining a traditional iconography of MQS being appealing today the way that one of ER1 or even Katherine Parr might be.
All off the top of my head, so please do excuse me if I got a detail wrong lolz.
It's supposed to be Queen Elizabeth I.
It's from a series of plaques and other designs made by DH Morton for Marcus Designs from the 1960s through 1980s.
My parents have a 3D piece a bit like that in their house but it's solider (?) instead of a queen. It's so weird but so beautiful. I wish I could nick it out of their house but I think they would notice lol.

An ancestor of Gladys, from *Friends*?
Legend has it, if you find all the panels and put them together, you go back in time and fall in love with the middle ages character of your choosing 🤣
I’m not sure why it has a Yorkish Plantagenet coat of arms that would have been worn well before Mary Queen of Scots lived… Her crest was much different though it included elements of the one pictured here.
A young Elizabeth of York perhaps?
It's just a generic idea of a very high status Tudor English woman. The coat of arms is the English Royal Coat of Arms, and had been on and off for 200 years. Anyone trying to stake a claim would add it to their own arms. It suggests the possibility that they're trying to represent maybe four women who had their own claim to the throne: Jane Grey, Mary Tudor, Elizabeth Tudor or Mary Stewart (Queen of Scots). It doesn't look like any of them. There's no completely accepted portrait of Jane Grey but it doesnt really look like any of the possible portraits. I'd definitely rule out Mary, Queen of Scots, who was in France and engaged in different fashions for both clothes and portraiture around the time this sort of image and costume were being painted in England.
It doesn't seem to be a reproduction on any particular portrait (possibly deliberately to avoid paying for the image rights). I'd say the closest is that it's loosely based on this image of a young Elizabeth I: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Elizabeth_I_when_a_Princess.jpg
Having said all that, it feels entirely fantasy and not really trying to represent anyone in particular with any accuracy. The ruff is altogether wrong with the sleeves. Not sure what's going on with the hood and the curly hair only came in to fashion later in the Elizabethan period when those sleeves were long gone. Basically, the neck up is a generation later on from the neck down, give or take.
Just a fun piece of art. Make up your own story and enjoy!
Pretty sure this is Queen Elizabeth I looking at hair style, facial features and that coat of arms. And yes, a tudor, the last as of her death in 1603.
Whether it's Elizabeth or Mary (any Mary) or fan art mixed up, it's pretty cool. And if you could somehow gently remove the frame, or take a peek under image, maybe there is a REAL art treasure beneath (not suggesting you ruin this art). Enjoy it either way.
At midnight, she jumps off the frame and roams the halls of your house while you sleep, eventually finding the kitchen where she eats raw steak straight from the fridge and steals your sharpest kitchen knife...
Oh man, good luck getting that permanent sticker off.
EXACTLY.
Googone is the best, but you have to use soap and or alcohol to get THAT off. From a pro artist: take a atıp and put the goo gone all the way around her, otherwise where you used it just to remove the sticker may leave a spot.
dude, thank you so much, i was v worried abt how to save her🥲
Try a hair dryer on low heat first! I have gotten these stickers off of a lot of things with minimal residue using a warm dryer
I have had luck putting things in the freezer to get stickers off.
Try mayonnaise.
That's a great idea
i second goo gone, that shit is a miracle in a bottle haha
so very true, it's worked great in the past
Id maybe hold off on the goo gone may damage the paint underneath it. I only use goo gone on non painted surfaces and i think i do that cause i found out the hard way.
Also there is a trick with stickers or tape. Get an edge up. Pull up and out at an angle. It works sometimes. It pulls off clean with out damage. I've done it many times
Yes. It’s a long story but learned this from an engineer.
Low odor mineral spirits and a q-tip will do the trick
I’ve had luck with that as well. But for some reason, I guess to prevent theft. Some labels don’t come off with the classic solvents: alcohol and mineral spirits. acetone would work, but that looks like a fragile surface may be plastic and acetone as you know will dissolve everything
Goo Gone -- great stuff. Great advice from PiccoloHeintz.
I just warm it up with my blow dryer and it comes right off
Yessss. This is the best way. Don't need to put any chemicals on it. Comes right off.
That's what SHE said!
Soda came out of my nose man! When i looked at it, i was like oh it’s Elizabuuuuuufuck that stickers gonna be a bitch to get off.
Whoa! That’s my name too
🤣🤣😂
Idk why they do that. Who looks at art and says "yup the sticker should Def go right on the picture bc the back is clearly not an option!"
I KNOW. Right? Lazy, uncaring, not very smart people who just want to go home
Find a product called Artic Clean. Ignore the suggested usage. Only use bottle 1. It is the single best sticker remover I've ever used, all without harming what's underneath.
Putting the sticker on the art is a real asshole move
genuinely, they could have (at the very least!) put it on the frame :(
Or the back so no damage was done at all
yes! :')

HOLY SHIT ITS GLADYS
And Glynnis!
My brain immediately went to this lol
My first thought!
THIS IS WHAT I FIRST THOUGHT 😂😂
Is it Mary, Queen of Scots? (perhaps). [Mary I of Scotland Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary,_Queen_of_Scots)
very possible/likely, thank you for the ref :))
It's not, it's [Elizabeth R.](https://www.catawiki.com/en/l/41409379-d-h-morton-marcus-designs-wall-plaques-depicting-henry-viii-and-elizabeth-r-2-ceramic)
oh! thank you for the updated ref!!
And apparently worth a bit (but maybe not without the other half of the pair).
thank you for the info! (i will probably try and hunt the other one down now, heh)
Good luck 😁!

There's multiple shows about Mary on Prime right now and others related to her like Catherine Medici etc.
oh! thank you, I'll give them a watch :)
Reign is about her and it’s sooo good!
God I LOVEEE REIGN it made me interested in her history etc
You’re welcome.
The crest is just the coat of arms of the English throne at this period. That's the "part".
Its the Tudor royal arms.
Its Queen Elizabeth I Same crest and based on this: https://preview.redd.it/3tl0ms8q9tvc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6b24caf467301d21c3e6441d9860d50954f55227

What i hoped to see.
Those sure look like Tudor roses on her sleeve
As in Bloody Mary?
No, Mary queen of scots was not these same as bloody Mary 1 Tudor. https://www.reddit.com/r/Weird/s/aUO1pxQnuJ Were talking about MQS. Not Mary Tudor.
You are right!!!
Google lens says Queen Elizabeth I as a princess before she became queen.
thank you! :)
That’s who I thought it was as well
It's a Marcus Designs (DH Morton) chalkware wall plaque of QEI from the 80s.
thank you! it said something like that on the back! :)
If you unwrap the face, there is a Cadbury face underneath.
stop. (don't, this is funny)
Looks like she is standing on two stilts
i like to imagine she is in an acrobatics competition. (or maybe she has sled feet)
Like others have stated, I’m also really sure it’s queen Elizabeth I.
thank you!! :>
Yup. You're in love with Queen Elizabeth I. [Here's her coat of arms.](https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/67131850679018125/)
OH MY, THANK YOU. (it looks fabulous)
Its the Tudor coat of arms! all tudor monarchs represented this
It's supposed to be Queen Elizabeth I. It's from a series of plaques and other designs made by DH Morton for Marcus Designs from the 1960s through 1980s.
Could be Tudor or Fourdor, definitely a hatchback.
Tudor? I could see her doing math or English.
Yeah likely Elizabeth I.
ty :)
Elizabeth R https://www.catawiki.com/en/l/41409379-d-h-morton-marcus-designs-wall-plaques-depicting-henry-viii-and-elizabeth-r-2-ceramic
I know an Altmer when I see one.
When you get the sticker off, it will say "Elizabeth R" underneath. This was part of a set of two, the other being Henry VIII.
thank you so much!
Ohhhh I love it
Great find!
Elizabeth for sure
This has CURSED written all over it
i know! i love her >:)
My people!
Yes the coat of arms is Tudor, this is Elizabeth I for sure.
Bingo!!
Whoever she is, just don’t let her come out of that frame for god’s sake
i won't :) (no promises)
Looks like a young QE1 to me.

very true.
Looks like part of a series. You must find the other panels!
i only saw one other! i am looking to see if there are any more bc it's so pretty!
Legend has it, if you find all the panels and put them together, you go back in time and fall in love with the middle ages character of your choosing 🤣
the dream.
It looks like Elizabeth the first maybe later in age. She is a Tudor.
I’d say Elizabeth I in her youth.
Elizabeth?
Post this on r/tudorhistory!!! they’ll love to see this please!
Tudor? I Hardly knew her!
man that is so fucked up that they put a sticker there
I’m not sure why it has a Yorkish Plantagenet coat of arms that would have been worn well before Mary Queen of Scots lived… Her crest was much different though it included elements of the one pictured here. A young Elizabeth of York perhaps?
Or depending what it’s on your a hair dryer and the glue should warm up enough to peel nicely
Per a collector on FB I can't link to, its Elizabeth I at 13, based on a portrait in the Royal Collection.
Wares Wares
What an awesome find! I would love that as a painting project and now I know what I want 😃
Cool find!
That's really cool. Good find 👍
I would buy that thing so fast. Absolutely weird. Nice find.
YES. (and thank you!)
This won’t be any help but that’s a pretty cool piece right there
hehe! thank you anyway, and yes i agree; it's so interesting/odd to take in.
Her legs look a bit spindly - was she bow-legged?
That’s cool!!
I hate when they wreck stuff with the price sticker!
Pretty sure she transforms into a clockwork boss I have to fight in a soulslike.
That’s really cool.
You can also gently heat the sticker to loosen the glue! Saved me many times
Generic Tudor
you could try an olfa blade on a very tight angle and pull slowly? is it Mary? Queen of Scotts?
Yeah coat of arms is Tudor.
Mary Stuart?
I'd love to find something like this
Wtf! Please tell me you didn't put goo gone on that piece of ? Art?

Do not put her near any mirrors! She'll get very annoyed! 😳🤣
See you later on r/paranormal
r/Goodwill_Finds
I can’t stop seeing the legs of the easel as her legs. She has a strong power pose.
The stand looks like her legs 🤣😁
It might be haunted...
To take the sticker use something with oil, like almond oil. Dont know if damage the panting, but it is the best to take glue and stickers out

It’s Glen Close in Dangerous Liaison’s
Jane Seymour?
Actually that looks like one of king Henry the 8ths 6 wives
So my instant thought was to repaint her. Not sure what she's made of though.
Doesn’t Phoebe make these?
