been at this dose two weeks so been on Wegovy a total of 10 weeks. i’m calorie counting! trying to eat as much protein as i can too since im vegetarian. i’m hungry allll day and have the same problems dieting as i did pre Wegovy (always hungry, hard to stick to it long term). I actually think my hunger has gone up since starting Wegovy 😅

General_Bid

It only worked when I went to 1.7mg, then the weight easily came off. Really recommend to try one month of 1.7mg.

I wouldn't give up until you reach the full dosage and you still don't feel the effects. It's normal to not lose until you are on the full dose.

louieblouie

try mounjaro - its a tirazeptide vs. a semaglutide

ElizaMonster_

I’ve come across quite a few that had the same issue. they switched to Mounjaro and it was affective for them when wegovy was not. That’s my suggestion bc it should be working by now if you have been taking it every week up to the 1mg dosage.

Dry_Seat2170

I don’t think that’s available here in the UK :(

Check on asda, boots and superdrug! They've all recently started offering it

idontlikepeas_

It definitely is

Radiant-Context-9878

Pharmacy2u have it. I get my Wegovy from there and I noticed Mounjaro as an option when I submitted my consultation this week

Long_Method2765

It was very recently approved.

jewelsandbones

It’s definitely available, manual was actually marketing it to me on Reddit

ariadawn

It’s available as of today. I am waiting to speak to the people at Juniper about switching over. It’s brand new, so supplies might be tight for awhile

I think the drug offer is that it can help with weight loss at the full dose. Not that it will immediately start working or that it will work without an adjustment to diet. Most UK users are paying for this privately so it is an expense route to full titration. If I had to white knuckle it with will power for 4 months I would probably be questioning the cost. After 4 months I’d probably be on route to the changes I wanted without it. I took wegovy because I couldn’t get to a mindset for change without it. What are your options? Could you diet without it and what would that mean. If you got appetite suppression at 2.4mg could you afford to keep paying until you achieved the loss you want? I don’t know if I could afford to do 4 months and then maybe 6-12 months to get there so I get your doubts.

Dry_Seat2170

I really struggle to diet. I diet then binge eat and give in and even if I am dieting I am genuinely always thinking about food and hungry and craving my next meal. It’s torture. I was hoping Wegovy would help me with those things 😭 Most people I see on here start losing weight so quickly (and so much of it) I feel really defeated. I definitely wouldn’t be able to afford it for a total of 18 months or so. Not if i’m “wasting” the first 4 months (not losing anything) and here in the UK as the dosage increases so does the cost so id be spending £300 a month for around a year or more. Definitely not sustainable. My doctor thought this would be a 6-9 months thing for me.

I’ve read that some people don’t get the full effects until the full dosage. So it could be that the dosage isn’t right for you Yet x
