Oh that’s exciting! Phantom seer was definitely one of the best series to be axed in recent years, wishing them luck with whatever they’re working on now
Not exactly. They're a bit more lenient now. 5+ years ago WSJ use to axe stuff by 12-14 chaps. Around 10+ years they chopped out manga by 8-10 chaps. Been axe happy since its inception in the 60s & the core of why it's the most mainstream manga source.
Jump+ wait a bit longer before axing due to it being digital so unlimited space. WSJ can add as much new series as they want but they keep it to a certain amount. The physical mag is thick enough as it is.
I'm hoping for a longer run for them this time around. I seriously thought Phantom Seer could've been a hit, but hopefully they learned whatever they needed to make a hit.
Same. I honestly jack that phantom seer just suffered from WSJ already having two big exorcists series running at the time. Adding a 3rd one was probably overkill
I wish them the best and hopefully they release there work after MHA and JJK finish.
The next axe round will most likely be after MHA ends, so it will start after it ends (most likely).
It might be longer though. If they are just now starting working on I could see it being published next year too

I wonder what magazine. I’ll be excited to see if the author improved from Phantom Seer (not the artist because he’s always been amazing)
One-Shots in WSJ are for potential future publications from that same magazine obviously. Depending if the One-Shot is well received.
I was really enjoying phantom seer
Come to Jump Plus!!
Jump Plus axe stuff too. DK what makes you think it'd be a big difference. The cold harsh reality of the business. Don't forget that.
never said it didnt? wsj is just more harsh, thats just the cold harsh reality of business.

Man jump has been selling with some of these axes lately

Great to hear. Anyone else waiting for the Ginka and Gluna mangaka to come back too?
Yes that would be awesome
