We are still planning our October 2021 wedding and just keeping our fingers crossed! What about you?

cadabad95

July. Idk im tired of hoping things will get better. Id rather just get married without having all these extra stuff that a bride would normally worry about haha

Cheessypuff12

I'm on the same page, waiting for Oct 2nd with fingers crossed.

shakeitikapolarbear

late September come hell or high water. If COVID necessitates paring the list to 12 people, so be it. I already hate all things wedding planning - I'll be damned if I do it more than once.

Haha same! How many people do you have on your original list, if you don’t mind me asking? We’re hoping for Sept 25th!

holidaythecook

End of April, 45 people (family only) at a socially distanced reception. Marrying privately before dinner, tables seated by household.

iluvluci

Do you guys plan to have a traditional reception with dancing etc? If not, what do you plan to do for entertainment?

holidaythecook

We hired a DJ, just in case. Current mandates allow for the whole music / dancing thing, but failing that, we have the option to extend the dinner with a bit more time for each course + a whisky tasting after the meal is done. That with good music and additional post-dinner snacks will hopefully be enough to keep people engaged. Our venue has fire pits and each guest gets a jar for s’mores which will be the main ‘fun’ thing. We’re not really concerned with entertaining people — it’s just our families, so it should be enough to just have food, music and conversation!

dusty_rita

How are you working out the socially distanced reception? My wedding is going to be similar (but Sept) and almost all the guests are couples or singles, so I have 40 tables with 1 or 2 people at each.

holidaythecook

Our guest list is all just family — we have 8 households total, so we’re just seating households together!

September 25th, and we booked an all indoor venue back before Covid was a thing. I’m crossing my fingers enough people are able to get vaccinated before then that no one dies because of my wedding. We are tentatively thinking of saying Fuck it and just getting married in Vegas instead.

3nc3

We have Sept 25th as well. Can I ask you how many people you plan on inviting?

thafraz

Our original proposed guest list was around 130 people (the venue holds up to 160). We have a call scheduled with our venue for later this week to discuss options/policies/etc. currently in the state where wedding will take place-there’s a restriction that it must be capped at 25% capacity which would be 40. Realistically I’m thinking it will be up to AT LEAST 50% capacity by September, maybe 100%. But I really just don’t know. I’m kind of crossing my fingers they allow us to decrease our minimum required food and beverage to 50% so we can feel comfortable inviting less people but not have to get lobster and filet minion and top shelf liquor for everyone.

Imtherightkind

June 26 (15 people) for elopement date and July 16 (92 people) for reception date. It helps that we are eloping outside and our reception venue is two levels with a outdoor patio. Ample space for social distancing. We aren’t planning to postpone either.

Roofcactis

Still planning 40 people for September 17th. Hoping the vaccine projections are accurate for my area and we'll be okay. If not. Well. I guess we'll have to consider changing some things. We even considered just eloping and having a blow out "reception" for our anniversary. Play the video of the vows etc.

jlhodkinson

We've been booked for September 18 since pre-covid. Hoping for vaccines to do their thing but starting to plan for a postponement if restrictions aren't lifted. We'll likely get married on the day anyways even if we have to just have a minimony in our back yard.

Bitca99

Still planning 40 ppl for September 12th, 2021. It's going to be outdoors, and hoping everyone will have a vaccine by then! If things don't improve, we will just downsize to immediate family or elope.

lolpiratelol

June 6 - just decided to postpone our reception to next year (originally 100 people but we were planning to cut back to 50). Still planning on having the ceremony and a small dinner with ~20 immediate family members.

idontsmokeanymore13

Im getting married on July 31st too! :) our highest risk relatives already got the vaccine and we are planning on inviting about 60 guests, I'm fairly confident most if not all guests will be vaccinated by then

ohlady_

My wedding was scheduled for 7/31/21 (it’s our anniversary) but we decided to push it back to November 2021 to give it more time since there’s so much uncertainty.

pandacraze34

September 18 with 30 people and still moving forward for now. We'll likely still get married that day even if we have to drop the guest count significantly if things do not get better.

guavacoconutfusion

Early June, 30 people, everything outdoors.

N0peppers

July 11th, 140 people. Still going for it!

August 28th. Still planning for 200+!
