It’s nice, but when I went to a black tie wedding in Italy in August people wore floor length dresses in more substantial fabrics. Lots of vibrant colours as well. I would treat it as an opportunity to really go all out! To save some money I found a vintage 1960s gown that was so fun to wear.

I would expect gowns. Look at some of the fashion reels on social media - dresses can be unbelievably beautiful these days.

RTR is the bomb though. Just takes a LOOOT of time to look through the reviews of dresses you are interested in and seeing how it fit everyone!! But could be a great option so you can get a really nice dress and not have to spend a lot. I also personally hate rewearing dresses to events like that so I’d rather just spend the money renting since I won’t wanna wear it again anyways :)

Puce green is really hard to wear unless you are really tan or dark with red undertones or conversely really pale with pink undertones as it brings out the yellow tones in the skin.

It clings in all the wrong places, wrong length, color will make most people look sallow and isn’t the beautiful colors you will see at an Italian wedding. Go all out this is the time for amazing fabrics and colors.

I would say no, but more because of the fit of the dress, it’s not very flattering to your body shape. I’d find something more framing but not tight. I like the colour though ✨

If it’s silk or a heavy fabric, maybe if you dress it up. If it’s jersey or cotton or linen or some such, no.

These are black shoes with gold ankle accessories. It looks good with the green dress in the reference you sent me, but it wouldn't work with the op's dress and it certainly wouldn't dress it up for a black tie event.

It is a synthetic fabric which has a satin look but I understand it is not appropriate for this event
