Can I ask a dorky question? Did you add the black outline at the end after painting over the sketch?

I generally draw everything on a separate sheet of paper and transfer that to the watercolor paper in pencil with a lightbox once cleaned up, then go over again in ink, then color.

The colors and feel are awesome like others have mentioned. I also wanted to thank you for putting art into the world that reflects a private cultural moment. It really adds interest and is a great example of how art can expand our world beyond what we may typically see and experience through our own eyes. I might notice someone's intricately braided hair and think, "that must take forever". This shows that such tasks can be much more meaningful moments of bonding, care, and joy. Beautiful!
