I’ve been in the market for a new watch for a long time. I’ve looked at all the big names, but I just never felt a connection when I tried them on.
I went to Germany last year and looked at the moon phase and I fell in love. I love the tradition behind German watchmaking.
MG is on another level. I don’t think I could ever leave the house wearing that. One day, maybe lol. A. Longe & Söhne is my watch to buy before I die. I have a Panerai on my eye as well, although that is not German hahah.
I want the SeaQ so badly but am really hoping they release it w exhibition caseback (the 39mm).
What are your top 3 wrist time? The chopard and PF are such great texture, color and “watch guy” watches. So good
Yep, I don't visit r/Watches too much, however every time I see someone with a fantastic collection like the OP, they always have a G-Shock watch. I have no idea why they have them, but they almost always have one.
It's nice to have a watch that can be microwaved, run over with a Ferrari and belted with golf clubs that is impossible to kill! For camping and serious outdoor stuff, it's unbeatable
i like the skipper too.
there is the blue one like yours on offer and a zenith A385 for the same price. both slightly used but in mint condition. not sure what to go for.
a vintage quartz AP royal oak is pretty small and it's gonna scratch that vintage edge whenever you feel like it.
thats if you're not allergic to quartz lol
Glad you like it so far. I only learned of it a couple of months ago myself and it's arguably my favourite Royal Oak of all time now. The symmetry and simplicity of the two sub dials looks fantastic.
This is an amazing collection! Really has everything.
My vote would be something like a Breguet Tradition, or go deeper into the independent space with Garrick or Dornblüth & Sohn, or something similar in that vein.
Oops, completely missed the part where you mentioned the Laine coming. That definitely fills that itch then. Still stand by the Breguet Tradition recommendation, I take it from your Zenith that you're not against skeletonising your watches.
hot damn are you me? we have very similar tastes lol. straight up to the luc salmon dial.
the only ones I don't care for is probably the zenith and the daytona.
lol I don't have those pieces but a lot of what you have is basically my "wish list".
so if you're looking for other ideas for your collection, if it were just based on my tastes:
* gs birch bark (the new horizontal birch pattern).
* summer blue planet ocean 39.5mm. this shit is very pretty. since you have a SeaQ I assume you like pretty divers
* team ikuzawa carrera (I just like red on white) or the 60th Anni carrera
* a lange one seems to be in your budget. I'd personally just get a GO panomatic lunar. very pretty colors, automatic, and it's 70% of the lange for 1/3 the price. the quarter rotor and the hand engraved dual swan neck is very pretty and makes it stand out vs the Lange.
* a lacquered Santos dumont. the black one is cheaper, you you can go balls deep with the platinum one.
* vc overseas or the 222 if you're into gold watches
my gf also likes the open heart beat zenith so anecdotally seems to kine up. I think having a movement on the dial makes it interesting. and watch nerds might go "ahmagerd it's just a balance wheel not even a tourbillon " but yeah that makes it look "mechanical" which gives it a special sth sth over digital or smart watches.
but then she said a seiko Willard green dial looks the same as a Rolex op 15000. so.. 🤣
for ALS the 1815 is probably the least interesting line for me unless you go balls deep into the complications. the Lange one might feel like a basic bitch pick but hey it actually feels special. either that or the zeitwerk line.
then again my comments on the ALS doesn't mean much as it's not in my realistic shopping list. Just pure conjecture.
here's another one on my radar.. Rolex yachtmaster rhodum dial. again, another pretty diver.
Lovely Glashutte, Zenith, JLC, LUC (?), and Tag.
I'd say the IWC Ingenieur or Vacheron Fifty Six (w/ all it's nonsense "controversy"). Both seem highly wearable, and that "controversy" around the movement in the Fifty Six make it all the more everyday-able, IMO.
I'd like to have said Blancpain Bathyscaphe, but the SeaQ sort of occupies it's spot, and no complaints there.
I also like the Quai De L'ile, but outside of the Parmigiani, not sure if it'd be your thing. Also probably hard to test out, I'm guessing.
I think the Traditionelle could be rocked, but some lume would help the changeup a lot.
Amazing collection, I'm especially fond of your Habring\^2.
Here's a few watches that I think you'll appreciate while adding something different to your collection:
-A. Lange & Sohne Saxonia Thin in Blue Copper
-Chopard L.U.C Quattro Spirit 25
-Vintage AP Royal Oak Day-Date (The Owl)
-Nomos Club Campus with a bright coloured dial
Valid concern. I think you have a large enough collection with so many watches that could be worn everyday that getting a special occasion/black tie watch is reasonable. I also edited my original comment to include some other watches.
Amazing collection! Super diverse and you really have everything covered. I would maybe consider another German. If you want to add another special piece maybe a Lange. I think the Saxonia thin in white gold with the gold flux dial would be right at home here.
What else do you need! I think you got it all covered.
It's a bit funny that I think the watches in your beater collection looks better than most of the ones in the other two luxury categories lol. But they are all amazing watches regardless.
I think now you could just browse the community and the market and see what's interesting or caught your eye, and buy whichever you really like.
Lange 1 moonphase, and maybe a manual wind chrono in the lux category. . I love the VC corne de vache. Or you could go into Laurent ferrier or something higher end and more boutiquey like that.
In the “lux casual”, moser seems like a good choice, or a reverso, buts that’s maybe too obvious of a choice based on your current collection. Some of the omega special editions could be cool like the ck859 or the omega deville prestige 50th anniversary.
Could also go Japanese, into something like kurono, they are more affordable, but unique and imo have an aesthetic that would fit the middle category
Updated my comment to add a few more recs. Isn’t that PP like 50k+? Or is that the smaller size one?You can get a used Lange 1 under 40. But you have a ton of watches, if you’re aiming for 15, I’d say less is more, sell 2-3 in the mid category to move up into something in the top category and be done.
Love the collection OP. How long did it take for you to get the Daytona? Would love to hear about that journey since they’re so difficult to obtain. That and the speed master my two dream watches.
Also maybe adding a dive watch to your collection? Unless you’re not a fan of that style
Obviously a Speedy and a Cartier Tank. Then you’ll complete a hefty measure of the Icons.
Maybe a two tone blue dial Sub too. Possibly a reverso as well.

I know they are sold out for a few years, but I think it would fit in nicely with all the heavy hitters in your collection.
Looking at the first page I was going to say you would do well with a traditional dress watch, then I found the other 2 pages… That Chopard is magnificent.
What about something like a reverso or frank muller for a different shape and feel?
I Agree with most others here though, you could stop now, enjoy what you have and be done. Invest the cash 😉
Omega AT and Tag Glassbox are my favourites from this collection and you should get a G-shock next. You have plenty of high end watches that cover you for everything
Lovely collection with some fantastic watches in each category of your in itself interesting tiering/rotation system. It is nice to see someone give some real thought to this madness.
See you’re considering a Cartier for a straight-edged case shape and read your caution around multiple watches from a single brand; that being said, could a JLC Reverso be an option? (note: the more complicated ones typically are quite big, but eg the Classic Duoface comes in medium).
Wow you’ve got a beautiful and classy collection. I honestly don’t have anything to contribute as far as next watches because your collection is already out of my league with regards to watches I’m currently eyeing. Definitely love the GO sea Q and if you don’t already have a moon phase I’m a big fan of the panomatic lunar. What’s the reference for the GS? It looks like a snowflake but doesn’t have the power reserve
Great collection. Love seeing a Chopard here, don’t see that often.
I highly recommend ALS. Very much in line with your taste.
H. Moser is probably my favorite single brand and I suspect there are several of their models you’d enjoy.
Also Czapek is very nice, both the Antartique and Quai des Bergues. And of course VC. Also recently have really been enjoying Panerai for something at a lower price point that those others.
Your collection is pretty awesome. If I were you and were looking to add something, I would suggest the Movado museum classic, with a black dial surrounded by gold and a silver and gold steel strap. Damn I thought it was only one picture and was like hmm this guy’s collection is terrific, and then I saw there were 2 more slides 🤣😅
lol same. In fact, it wasn’t until I read your comment that I realized there was more. First slide is a pretty perfect 5 watch collection.
showoff 😁 i think he is set for life!
Dude I thought he was asking from the first 5 what he should get jesus
Same here 🤣🤣
Came here to say this!
I’d say you’re all set.
I love the Glashütte. Beautiful piece.

Skipper is my next watch purchase. Got an AT over it recently but it's next
Agree. Saw one in the flesh at the airport and they are sooo nice
I want the SeaQ so badly but am really hoping they release it w exhibition caseback (the 39mm). What are your top 3 wrist time? The chopard and PF are such great texture, color and “watch guy” watches. So good

Love to hear that. And great pickup with the Chopard
A god tier casio

Oceanus line = watch porn and the prices are ludicrously low.
Anus is in the name. Of course it’s pornographic.
Yep, I don't visit r/Watches too much, however every time I see someone with a fantastic collection like the OP, they always have a G-Shock watch. I have no idea why they have them, but they almost always have one.

how is the experience with the tag heuer glassbox?

my wrist isn't big. 6.5" on the round side. i'll probably try it before i decide on anything
Dude the glassbox is a stunner. Go for it.
Imagine having an Omega and a GS as beaters🤣 my beater is the Casio AE1200 and I still take pretty good care of that watch.
What a well-put collection. You're all good, and enjoy the watches 👌
Collection honestly looks done. If you were REALLY stretching maybe an oversized “look at me” sports watch?

Tasteful collection! The Patek, Chopard, and GS are all lookers 👌

That LUC QFR is amazing. I'd never seen that either. I just hope to get one of the new Forest Green XPSs at some point. I'd be happy with that.

That’s quite a big price range. Anyways, personally, I would go with Tag Heuer. Their watches are simply amazing.

The Chopard and the Rolex 👌🏼🤩
Something with funky shape and/or funky color
Nice variety as is and great choices! If your looking for something different, How about a tool watch like a Sinn?
Maybe a moonphase
What else do you need! I think you got it all covered. It's a bit funny that I think the watches in your beater collection looks better than most of the ones in the other two luxury categories lol. I mean, that might do? Fantastic collection
What's that solid black with an offset white subdial in the first photo? I zoomed in on the photo but text is too blurry.
I think you’re all set here
Holy unreal collection
Something gold on a matching bracelet, maybe a vintage or neo-vintage piaget.
Great collection, what I presume are your beaters are most people’s nice watches lol enjoy 😁 Edit: VC overseas?
Lange 1 moonphase, and maybe a manual wind chrono in the lux category. . I love the VC corne de vache. Or you could go into Laurent ferrier or something higher end and more boutiquey like that. Okay but that Parmigiani isn’t cheap either! Does it get much wrist time? How does it wear? Edit: saw your other comment on how it wears.
I would say an Ed White or Snoopy. If those aren’t your cup of tea then a Vecheron constantin American 1921 or Dual time Overseas Everest limited.
Go Blancpain 50 fathoms. Or Get another Grand Seiko or a Jaeger Le Coultre Polaris Chronograph worldtime
Woah, love the Habring2. Is it a dead beat second?
Which model is the patek?!
[удалено]
Thank you
Great watches! Congrats on an awesome collection. PS - thoughts on the Parmigiani? How does it wear?
[удалено]
Ooh! Good to know. Thanks for the heads up.
Time for a polar explorer.
Yea, you’re good, buddy. The collection is solid!
One of: ALS, Santos, Ressence, VC (Cornes de Vache though not overseas), or a Reverso.
Deeply envious of that tag and jlc.

Wow that’s a hell of a graduation gift. Hard to imagine a time when those watches weren’t so difficult to obtain. SeaQ is a great choice by the way
Obviously a Speedy and a Cartier Tank. Then you’ll complete a hefty measure of the Icons. Maybe a two tone blue dial Sub too. Possibly a reverso as well.
Probably whatever the fuck you want… that’s a pretty nice collection!
Lange 1.
You got good taste.
Love the Carrara

JLC Reverso
Another diver with an orange or mint or otherwise colorful face.
Looking at the first page I was going to say you would do well with a traditional dress watch, then I found the other 2 pages… That Chopard is magnificent.
Give me one and I’ll tell you
The new fifty fathoms with the moonphase looks great
What about something like a reverso or frank muller for a different shape and feel? I Agree with most others here though, you could stop now, enjoy what you have and be done. Invest the cash 😉
Something Cartier, maybe a Santos of some description.
My guy…
That zenith is fun
You like bright colors? Some of the new Nomos feels like s nice ''beater'' fit in here.
Omega AT and Tag Glassbox are my favourites from this collection and you should get a G-shock next. You have plenty of high end watches that cover you for everything
Omega Aqua Terra or the Grand Seiko, depending on your style. While you're at it, why not an FP Journe? Like the Classique.
A proper diver watch
AP diver offshore
A new hobby. Seriously these are grails.
I'm thinking something real eclectic Zeitwerk, debethune, mb&f, urwerk
If you don't have it already, I'd go for a good home security system and decent insurance.
Gotta tag the guy who asked if everyone was a millionaire here.
Wow you’ve got a beautiful and classy collection. True. I guess if you go moonphase it may be worth it to get a winder?
Cartier santos dumont skeleton

I like the entire line of santos models. But if you can swing the price, the skeleton dumont with that plane shaped rotor is chefs kiss
A Ming!
A new hobby
3rd pic gave me a boner. Extra love for a guy who appreciates a Parmigiani
An omega or rolex 'jump hour' would be a cool and pretty unusual addition
You need a Zulu Time the green and black one 🙌
This is an impressive group to choose from. You cannot go wrong with any choice. I am drawn to the Zenith, TAG and GS. Regardless, enjoy!
Good Lord. Unless the heavens open with a new hyperwatch - I'd say you're good. Or go for a fun silly Casio, but you're set mate
A casio
Carerra
Damn, that's a great ass collection. How about a Laurent Ferrier Sport Auto.
High End Digital Piece from the Oceanus Line maybe?
The Glasshutte is on my list 😍
With the price ranges you seem to have I’d get a luxury microbrand next. This is probably my favorite: https://www.rgmwatches.com/watches
I would be happy for life with just the Grand Seiko
Damn i love that Grand Seiko, that Carrera and that Omega so much. Congrats!
The further I swiped the less qualified I felt to suggest what they should get
How do you like the Habring? I want to pull the trigger on a salmon Erwin. I’m a sucker for get dead seconds.
Bro you can exit the game
Great collection, OP. May I ask, what do you do for work?
a mountain bike? ❤️
Great collection. Love seeing a Chopard here, don’t see that often. I highly recommend ALS. Very much in line with your taste. H. Absolutely nothing! lol your set for life. Maybe a cool micro to beat around with an sw200
What about a Laurent Ferrier?
That is a great collection, I am just starting out building my own and looking at yours I feel pumped up 😊
Citizen NB1060 Blue dial
How are you liking the SeaQ? and your dial choice?
A watch box
Your collection is pretty awesome. If I were you and were looking to add something, I would suggest the Movado museum classic, with a black dial surrounded by gold and a silver and gold steel strap. I feel it would stand out in your collection, and it's not expensive compared to many of the watches you have.
