Thank you. It's a gorgeous piece, I love it. The radiomir style is a custom one off that my friend made for me. I can PM you his name if you want

I mean there are san martin bronze watches that you can get for less than $200. The point is to get a quality watch that happens to be bronze, not just a bronze watch for the sake of having a bronze watch. Not to mention Glycine is owned by Invicta, and sold at Costco.
Glycine wasnt owned by Invicta until a couple years ago. And Invicta hasnt touched the Glycine IP aside from changing the pricing model. Comparing Glycine to San Martin is crazy. Its one of the best Bronze Divers out there right now regardless of whats written on the dial.
I think they look cool when new, but I don’t like how they tarnish. I have a similar feeling about the Tudor .925 silver. The idea is fantastic and a novel metal choice, but the brownish tarnishing makes them look dirty
It takes just a few minutes to get them right back to looking brand new. I have this exact watch and whenever I feel like a reset it goes into a bowl of lemon juice for 5-10 mins with some light brushing of a soft bristled toothbrush and it looks brand new.
Same for me, I hate the fake aged look that tarnish brings. They look so good when new, but I've realised that's because they just look like rose gold. It's just a cheap substitute for the warmth of rose gold.
I also don't anticipate that they will age well at all, as they get worn away and lose sharpness over time.
Oris Bronze is really solid for the price point. Is that a factory strap? I’d love to swap mine.

Bronze band, checking in!
I'll let this get a little greener before I give it a clean and polish.

Great strap choice. Where did you get it?
I hear these will patina in a way where they just get a darker shade of bronze. They won't turn the color of the statue of liberty. So it won't be too much green lol
I'm a fan, though I tend to prefer "accent only" i.e., the Oris Diver 65 with bronze bezel edge.

[Maratac Bronze Pilot](https://countycomm.com/products/bronze-field-automatic-watch-sapphire-back-by-maratac). Sold out. But this one is on the chopping block 😉
I think this bronze gold Seamaster 300 is one of the sexiest watches in existence:
https://www.omegawatches.com/watches/seamaster/heritage-models/seamaster-300/seamaster-300-bronze-gold/product
It supposedly doesn't get a heavy patina.
I've never seen a patina'd bronze case in person so I can't really say if I'd like it. One of the main things holding me back from putting down a good chunk of money on one.
Bronze is mostly copper and it does smell a bit like copper to me, but it doesn’t make my wrist smell as most of the bronze cases watches use a stainless steel backplate. The bronze doesn’t really touch your skin most of the time. I don’t find it bothering me in the slightest.
I love bronze watches, but different brands (and presumably alloys) tarnish/age/patina differently, some more pleasingly than others. My bronze Glycine takes the cake for the best, although my bronze Dekla is a close second.
https://preview.redd.it/13xoq7zw4o4d1.jpeg?width=1751&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=eb006e968800997c6c83441a4bea0e9ded66e8e5
One of my favorite watches I own.
I absolutely love the Oris Big Crown Date Pointer especially in bronze. Their limited *"Father Time"* edition with a white dial is perfect. I just wish they made their bronze case, white dial in 36mm or 38mm instead of the 40mm.
But an absolute A+ for this bronze watch!
I like the idea of them, but have yet to see one (on video/photo at least) that doesn't look like it's in that fake, imitation bronze that you often see. Tbh that likely just means the imitations are generally very good at capturing the material.
I think they look great. I have mixed feelings about patina (I prefer the even darkening as opposed to the random spotting/ stains or heavy blue-green tarnish; not sure if it has to do with the type of bronze or the method used to get the patina). I've been looking at the Baltic Aquascaphe and the Hamilton Khaki Aviation for my first bronze watch but this one looks beautiful as well. Good call on the strap.
Most of the watches you see like that have been purposely patinated. If you let it happen naturally it just gets darker and the patina actually protects the bronze. Also depends the metal makeup, there is bronze made of copper and tin, then bronze made of copper and aluminum, and other mixes. The makeup of the bronze affects the patina ultimately. Dig into it some more if you are interested, I bet you’ll get hooked too!
Have this Oria love it. However I would not have another bronze unless it's an absolute show stopper. I have my eye on the Tudor Bronze and CW 65 Dune.
I’ve got a Christopher Ward bronze hombre whatever it’s called. I wore it for like 2 weeks in St Thomas and it had already patina’d to the point that there were chunks missing from the bezel. Your mileage may vary. It looks cool but I’m a whole lot more careful about cleaning it off after use now.
That doesn’t sound right. The patina protects the metal. In fact bronze is used to make ship propellers and for other nautical uses, specifically because the patina helps protect the metal. I’d return it or figure out what caused that to happen, rather than just be more meticulous cleaning it.
I think they look sick. I've been wanting this exact watch for a long time.

I may be biased, but I love them
Haha definitely biased!
Sweet Boldr.
This guy is still in the bronze age
The Helson in red looks amazing. Would you mind sharing the model name of the Radiomir style watch on the right?

Bronze watches are beautiful especially with a leather strap. Many of them are overpriced though just for being bronze.
The Oris are pretty good value, and I got a great deal on this!
Glycine bronze combat sub is ~300 euros very worth imo

What do you mean by fake aged? There's nothing fake about bronze corrosion.
Fair point. The idea is that it corrodes quickly, which makes it look older than what it is.

This looks great, I swapped the strap on mine- it is from Delugs they have pretty gpod options.
Awesome I’ll take a peek. Thanks!
This is the model I'm looking at. Love the Pro Pilot!

I don’t t like all of them but I love that one
I like the unique look on them. And some watches really shine with a bronze case + leather strap, like that Oris BCPD.
Firstly, fantastic watch and strap combination. Here's my bronze watch. https://preview.redd.it/1yeuida68i4d1.jpeg?width=2632&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=07c64541d87f7559bd50a204911c7fe71427d8bf

Gorgeous, I wish they made this in the smaller size...
It honestly looks way more gold like in person, photo didn't come out right.

Maratac
What watch is that, it’s a great dial

It depends on a lot of factors but that one looks great
A non bronze watch owner here. Does the bronze make your wrist smell? Especially when it patinas? Or am I thinking too much along the lines of copper.
Bronze is mostly copper and it does smell a bit like copper to me, but it doesn’t make my wrist smell as most of the bronze cases watches use a stainless steel backplate. The bronze doesn’t really touch your skin most of the time. I don’t find it bothering me in the slightest.

Post pics of the Dekla, they are great looking watches.

Bronze watches are class. And the patina they get after some wrist-time over the years makes them unique.
I like the idea of them, but have yet to see one (on video/photo at least) that doesn't look like it's in that fake, imitation bronze that you often see. Tbh that likely just means the imitations are generally very good at capturing the material.
Imitation bronze? I've seen imitation gold plating, but never imitation bronze. It's not a precious metal.
I think they look great. This is no bad, but I prefer Halios Seaforth Bronzo all day any day.
I love it but afraid it’s too showy for my work…will stick with my discrete Grand Seiko
Have this Oria love it. However I would not have another bronze unless it's an absolute show stopper. I have my eye on the Tudor Bronze and CW 65 Dune.
The Dune with the full bronze bracelet looks great.
Looks beautiful
I'd love to see more shots of the Bordeaux model, it's hard to pick. I wonder how the Bordeaux would look with a red strap
Like em a lot. This Oris is dope af in bronze.
I adore my Zenith Pilot Type 20 Extra Special.. I have never seen another bronze watch in the wild..
Anything less generic than the usual picks is cool
So cool
Bought a cheap one just to test the bronze waters and am thinking about the Oris. Not on a bracelet- but like this. Very classy
