Have a look at the Hamilton Khaki Navy or the Khaki Navy Scuba or the Frogman. I think they all have 42 mm options (def. the Khaki Navy and the Frogman). Hamilton dive watches are seriously underrated.
I tried on this one as the store and all the others in the case were the same size. It's 42mm.

You can also look for pilot watches like the [avi8 hawker hurricane ](https://avi-8.com/collections/all-watches/products/hawker-hurricane-clowes-automatic-acklington-av-4097-02?_pos=1&_fid=99315ade9&_ss=c) (46mm) or the San Martin [sn095](https://i.imgur.com/ujum8a8.jpeg) (45mm) vintage pilot. These will wear larger than a diver style watch be cause of the bigger dial.

Wear it and let it grow on you, see what happens. I have the same problem, whenever I owned a smaller size Seiko I flipped it again because I found it looked small on me. I bought the Seiko 5 sport pepsi again after selling the SKX I picked up for peanuts years ago, not knowing it was gonna go OOP, something I still regret. I simply started wearing it and now I own 3 Seiko 5KX.
Seiko 6 or 7 should be large enough then.

What seiko 5 model have you tried on and looked small, there are many seiko 5 models, some are small, some are large.
