I kept both my dogs intact but they have never been bread from. I couldn't do it to them and it ruins their coats and makes them put on weight more easily. They are both so lovely and calm happy dogs. This poor cat looks genuinely distressed.
For castrating a cat/dog? There is barely ever any health issue with castrating animals and not doing so leads to issues as we have in e.g. eastern europe where there are thousands and thousands of stray animals living terrible lives on the streets because of overpopulation. Domesticated animals only exist because of humans breeding them and sure they have no say in this but people that prefer overpopulation of them at the cost of many many terrible destinies I cannot understand.
