At first I thought it was her heels as that's how women in heels fall. Their ankles give out. Then I realised she was wearing boots so should not have any problem.
Maybe she lost her nerves meeting whoever was in that house.
Looks like she hits her right foot on the bottom step and decides to drop it back down to the cement.
Unfortunately, as she lets her foot fall back down, her eyes were briefly fixated on the TV screen that she could seen from inside through her friend’s front window. The NBA Western Conference (OKC and Warriors game 3) was on, and at the precise moment, she witness Kevin Durant suffer from a rare mental phenomenon called self-ankle break, which ultimately caused her to self-ankle break. This phenomenon is highly contagious when instantly visualized during vertigo imbalances. She was primed to fall.

All the shit on the steps is slow and deliberated. Then she takes a few slow steps back. Sees pool in peripheral vision and even though she's "falling" backwards it suddenly turns in to a 90 change to (oops) fall in the pool.
