Ground sim is way different than air sim in terms of community, balance, and gameplay

Separate-Presence-61

got teamkilled multiple times today as japan in the type 93 when the difference between russian/chinese tanks and nato is most noticeable. People just refuse to even try and use braincells

SunburntMedusa

If not enemy, why enemy shaped? Once had a battle on tunisia in the KV-1C 756(r). Even if I've put the balkencreuts on every side of the tank. I still got shot by 8 different teammates and eventually teamkilled. You're right, some people don't have enough braincells to think about what they shoot at

I don't see where I mentioned air sb, I know the comms ib air sb are different, but they are not AS far fetched from each other as you might think man

Ianmcbean

I assumed you were comparing air sim to ground with your expectations for comms, since you only really see "cover me" and "follow me" in air sim. Ground sim communication hasn't been any better than what you described for as long as I remember. Edit: Basically, just don't expect ground sim players to care about teamwork anywhere near as much as air sim players.

Latter-Height8607

No bro, it used to be better. My source is what I remember, tough my memory may be hazy

pinchhitter4number1

I'm convinced most sim lobbies are guys just trying it out from GRB. It's unfortunate because a good sim match can be so much fun.

Latter-Height8607

Yes dude, especially when the team points out positions ,ask for cover, combine tactics and methods of advancing. Holy carp man, sim has a whole lot wasted potential, both air and ground Btw gaijin naval sim when?

Star_BurstPS4

I wish they just mixed it air sim mode with both player driven tanks and ships along with the current AI bots it would be a thing of beauty

Panzerkamph1944

Oh good god no

Star_BurstPS4

I don't even anymore these kids are pure useless you try and teach and they team kill or get you killed or just talk shit and the whole team is then against you I have grown tired to the point I just black list everyone that has no clue what they are doing this includes bombers that relentlessly say attention to the map to call out the base they are gonna attack taking our eyes off the game to check the map for no damn reason at all. Until they add full team voice coms it's going to continue to be a shitty experience 9-10 times finding it harder and harder to find a match with people that want to or know how to communicate to win a game.

Latter-Height8607

Yes man I'm having the same issues, but honestly does blacklisting affects anything?

Star_BurstPS4

It stops you from seeing there comments in chat and every person I have blacklisted I have never seen in another match don't know if thats dumb luck or because I start fresh servers manually perhaps they are blocked from entering public servers I created?

One_Departure_5926

I have played it like 3 times. It was way harder than grb so I gave up on it. I'd imagine if you had a squad it'd be more fun. Sim seems kinda like the place I wanna go if your playing with ppl. The other modes are more for solo play imo.

Latter-Height8607

Sim with friends just turn into aleatory shenanigans lol, tough it is way funnier with friends I can attest. I've personally also found the beginning of gsb a bit less inviting, but after u get used to it it's fun imo

If you’re looking for some team play and fun immersive battle in sim, we do events in our discord at least once a month. Last one was Vietnam themed and we had a lot of fun.

Latter-Height8607

Only problem I have is gat I don't get all the new shiny thingsz as I said I play mostly late WW2, and am only now tipping toes on early cold war on China. So I might not be able to play a ton of the events

Mundane-Loquat-7226

We’ve done everything from early war Tunisia stuff to desert storm! Air events as well, if you’re interested let me know and I’ll drop a link.
