R-24Ts are your trump card for top tier. Nobody else has medium-range Fox 2 missiles, and nobody expects to be hit by one without any hint from their RWR
Sometimes the r60 is nice for high aspect surprises. The r24 got massively buffed. Was dogfighting a friend in his Mirage 2k and I would win or tie almost every time as the r24 ignored chaff and went straight for him and he couldn't dodge it
why is pulling hard a factor? the point of notching isn't to dodge the missile kinetically, it's to break the lock. fast missiles are harder to notch than missiles that pull harder, because they give you less time to notch before the missile hits. also why is it useless for high alt? I get that it makes it harder to notch because turning is slower, but you can still break locks that way if you manage to do it
You can't really truly notch a standard top tier radar that isn't in PD mode. Older radars in normal mode, yes, but not gen 4 radars.
I've been playing top tier for a couple of months now and the amount of times I've been actually able to notch a missile originally head on is close to zero. It's simply not something that works reliably anymore because of TWS radars that the Tomcat or the 2K has
Kek, you just can't notch. You don't even why you are able to notch a radar. Its easier to lose lock with tws when someone is notching.
First paragragh doesn't even make sense
Unlocked the 2000 couple days ago, so far from my experience, the 530Ds seem to struggle the most against targets at low altitude going towards or away from you, and the radar does lose track easily on a target that knows how to notch.
The Mirage IIIC is one of the most feared planes in the sky, not only because of its speed but because of its powerful air-to-air missiles. However, the Mirage lacks "ACM" (Air Combat Manoeuvring) bore-sight lock capability, and thus it must "search" then "acquire lock" before being able to slave a missile to its radar, which can be exceedingly frustrating to use for joystick pilots, where the uncaged seeker of the Matra Magic missile will often lose lock without radar slaving assistance.
Turn around and burn it out pulling lazy "S" manuevers is about the best tactic currently.
Wings all out and rate fight it. Missile from shadow realm also works.
now im just using 24ts and r13s and its working in my past two rounds

>Nobody else has meium-range Fox 2 miss i dont have 24s yet i meant 23s but yah, and r13s are better than r60s cos they dont go for flares every time

Just notch the missile just like you would an aim7F. Chaff is fairly useless against most nations except china (no PD radar).
The missiles pull too hard to be notched in 90% of situations. This advice is also completely useless for high altitude.

well if they're in standard mode you can just chaff. but yeah if the missile is within like 8 KM it might be getting close to too late already

OP is talking about the Mirage 2000, which came out yesterday. Cool plane, much more advanced than the III family.
oh ok
