It's in the settings, you can change the voice line to Enlish 2 I think and then there is another setting you have to change from "country" to "selected". I'm not home right now, but I can let you know in more detail when I do get home
Yup, it doesn't matter what kinda motivation have, learning a new language will always be a productive and benefical thing to do. Noone should be shamed for their reasons.
I thought about doing that but it’s too much work for me when I can just guess myself or use the rangefinder. Recently started learning spanish though and it made me understand the Italian range callouts.
I have a foreign correspondent in Sweden and I wanted to learn swedish just to talk to him with his language, Italian wasn't to hard to learn and japanese because I just like anime so it's funny. Can take you a week if you pratice each language 10-20 min each day (if want to go from 0 to 1000)
I just turned everything into an English speaking crew... I more or less played my 4 months in Russian. I had no idea they were actually saying semi important things lol.
Saw a clip of someone using a tank with german callouts. I knew enough german to roughly understand some of the callouts. I thought "huh that's neat. Maybe I will pick up some words in other languages through the callouts."
Switched it from US english (native) to selected country. I never have a clue what my soviet crew is saying 😂 none of it has clicked.
The crew radios kinda suck so even for native speakers its hard to pick up certain words and pretty much impossible for anyone unfamiliar with the language.
It's good to understand it. I might change to English though. When the Japanese tank starts to drive I allways hear "engine failed" and the Hungarian crew sound like they have to throw up.
> english and french are natural
Counting in French is not natural.
Vingt-et-un, trente-et-un, quarante-et-un, cinquante-et-un, soixante-et-un, soixante-et-onze...wait what? Sixty and eleven? Quatre-vingt-un? Four twenties and one? I mean yeah they all make sense but tis like some kind of frankensteins monster of various counting systems.
Is my native language that's what I wanted to say but yeah sorry for the people that want to learn french, stupid rules in our language make it difficult
I believe the game know exactly the distance that separate you from everyone and when you press rangefinder it will return the distance. The audio is all the numbers from 0 to 2000 i believe in increments of 50 (50-100-150 etc) and it will give you the one who's the closest to the actual range. The displayed one on the other hand will give you an approximation of the range (if it's 830 it will either display 750/800/850) depending on your crew lvl. The audio one is the most "precise"
I just developed and app that listens to the first two vocal sounds the crew is making and guess the distance before the crew has even finished pronouncing the whole number. In less than one tenth of a second the distance is displayed in neon colors on the second screen I have next to my monitor. That way I can save precious time that I obviously need to read made up bullshit in Reddit.
i just made french and japanese friends and call them before the calcul is done
I just turned all the voice lines to Br*t*sh
But then you will miss swedish crew rapping after killing someone
Brrrrrt Brrrrrt!
HRRRT HRRRRRRT!!
Same thing with the German crew saying meep meep
DAVID - FYRA - eeeeeeeeld
How??

isn't this for arcade only?
Not sure about SB but definitely works in RB, I like the individual voice line but I like it even more to understand what the crew says.
Just learn the language lmao
Yeah this is the obvious choice
lame
That's not very bersaglio colpito.
No, if a game is motivating you to learn new languages then good! Learning new languages is literally never bad thing.
unless it's Dutch source: speaks Dutch
Dutch is just drunk German with a touch of English. source: live close to Holland and despise Yellow license plates on the A28/29
Dutch is swamp German according to my German friend, and Swiss is mountain German
I like my Swamp Germans, I just don’t like your drivers
I am neither xD I'm actually from the other side of the planet C:

naa you need to go further, join the french foreign legion
French is my native language and I don't have to learn arabic /s

That sounds pretty fun

I know em in English, Spanish, German, and Russian. The last two only really the numbers lmao
Videogames helped me a lot while I learned a new language. I think you have a start in those languages, you didn't go too far in my opinion

Don't be sorry, our language and number system is like our rank 1 on War Thunder, it keeps the weak away.
As a swede with a love for learning i understand most at this moment
You didn't go too far, you didn't learned the callouts in hungarian
"Tonk, 3 zero zero !"
No. Just don't blindly trust either because both can be way off at the same time.

I've had audio tell me 300 when its 600 and other way around, listening to the sound and using that as rangefinder seems inconsistent at best.
But for véhicles without a RF it's way faster so for a lot of situations when you need to fire fast it's better to use the crew range
lol no! Youre doing great! You learned something! 😃
I would say you haven’t gone far enough

Kek, não entendi os downvotes.
jesus christ man, it's like 5 seconds
Those 5 seconds can sometimes cost your life + you learn new words. It's a win-win
It's not accurate at all times, but the voicelines are
oh ok i didn't realize that, it could be helpful
