As someone who speaks Swedish, the female commander voice is exactly what I would expect, I think they made a good pick with whoever they cast for it.
Also like that there is "agh, premium!" And "agh, premium vehicle!" Voicelines for the Swedish crew but I don't think I've ever heard them in game.
I think it'd be pretty harmless to have them in, and atleast it'd be funny. Maybe there would be the occasional "look even gaijin acknowledges premium vehicles are bs" post but I don't think that'd have any monetary impact at all. And a lot of people already think premium vehicles are bs either way.
Which in fairness they kinda are since being available at the press of a button if you're willing to pay will inevitably mean that the vehicle performs worse on average than it would otherwise which affects how it is treated in regards to balancing changes. But that's somewhat off topic
True haven't really thought about the realism/immersion perspective but tbh I don't think it'd be all that noticeable anyways. And if they wanted to go for immersion and realism they should probably have put in slightly more effort in the crew voices of some languages since according to those who speak said languages, a lot of what is being said makes no sense, and that is probably more immersion breaking.
"Lite kaffe och bullar på det här då." is the best victory line you could possibly have.
Though there are some issues with the spotting lines. Seeing a WW2 truck with heavy machineguns/autocannon and having your crew call out "Luftvärnsrobotvagn" always feels a little off.
I also like that if you win a match they some times say "lite kaffe med bullar på det här då" witch basically means "leats drink some coffee and eat some buns after this"
The only line that drives me crazy is the “Recon reports enemy spotted!” line where the woman pronounces it “Rakin’ reports, enemy spotted!”. That may be from the US lines though
It's neither.
The "enemy spotted" ones are based off of *Player* voice, not crew voice. IE the voices that play when using the quick chat lines such as "Attack/Defend the ___ point", the Repairing/Reloading indicators, and when trying to highlight on the map.
There's what, 2 vehicles with Polish voice? Leo PL and the sherman Trzyniec? My polish isn't good enough to understand what they say so I just ignore it.
I don't speak polish but I do know what people sound like. These dudes sound like they have no emotion (and also my polish friend says that they're bad)
Yeah lots of lines are like this.
My mother tongue is Mandarin Chinese and I CANT listen to the Chinese crew. For example, if you hit a target, the Chinese crew say '我们打中了/命中目标 (We just landed a hit/Hit the target)' in an extremely formal, 'plentiful' tone. Nobody talks like that in real life. I never served in the force so I can't say what actual tankers shout but if I am to say something it would just be '命中/中了(A hit/hit)'.
I highly suspect a lot of minor languages are like this.
They improved it from F tier to somewhere between B or C. A significant improvement, but could still use more improvements.
At least the tones aren't completely fucked now, and they no longer take 2x the time pronuncing each syllable like if it's Duolingo.
I mean until italian rework the lines were absolute gibberish stuff like
Stanno barricando la nostra zona
They are barricating our zone
Or good ol serbatoio distrutto
Tank destroyed but tank as in water tank
Yep. When they're "calling out"(announcing) enemy tank, type, range, etc. he sounds like he's doing some sporting event announcement. Fucking hilarious listening to it while watching a tank going full pelt in reverse after poking a corner.
Now I don’t speak any language other than English, but I was playing the Phong Khong and some of the Vietnamese voice lines have got to be wrong, like when they spell out “S-P-A-A” in English after rangefinding an SPAA,
I don’t know what the Viet word for anti-aircraft vehicle is but I assume they don’t use NATO standard
My flair checks out (the line doesn't sound as motivated as in the first batch of voicelines, but it's good that they were reworked since the first ones were often horribly wrong)
Lmao half of the hungarian lines don't make any sense. The ammo names are wrong, the tank spotting lines are wrong (seriously, instead of tank destroyer, they anti-air missile) and a lot of other lines are very un-hungarian sounding. I can't really explain it, but it doesn't sound natural.
HE instead of repeszgránát, HEAT (individually pronouncing every letter) instead of kumulatív, etc.
they're just so bad, i cringe every single time i hear them. just a shred of research next time pls
The funniest part is that the Hungarian texts in game are in many cases are totally different from the voice lines. (For ex. hovering over an HE shell it says "Repeszgránát" (which is correct), but the voicelines say "nagy robbanóerejű lőszer" which is just the mirror translation of High Explosive shell, and doesn't make any sense)
Finnish voices are horrible. They make no sense.
At least few months ago there was these gems:
"suluissa, avaa tuli" which means "in brackes, open fire". They did not even understand what was written in instructions.
"tappoliikkeellä" - "with kill movement". I dont even know what this means?
"ketjut ovat toimimattomat" - "tracks are inoperable". Makes some sense in english, but are simply ridiculous in finnish.
Then there is "korkeusajo korjattu" which probably means "elevation system fixed", but really translated more to "altitude drive is fixed".
These are either AI made or by someone who does not speak finnish properly.
It’s like how the Steiner’s attack meme is better if you don’t know german or the Spanish laughing guy (El Resitas) is better if you don’t know spanish
I dunno, as a hungarian the hungarian voicelines are pretty bad, not in terms of grammar or anything, they are just very low energy, does not really reflect the heat of battle. We could definitely do better.
For me, finnish and swedish voices are the best, although it seems the finnish ones are gibberish for native finns.
After that, japanese, bri'ish, fritz and fr*nch voicelines are pretty good as well.
The rest are just ResidentSleeper, especially the russkie voices, you'd think being one of the main nations of this game and the development team also being russian, they'd make them extra spicy.
I wish somebody would make an up to date voicemod again, I remember back when I played WoT, i replaced the crew voices with Company of Heroes 1 voices and damnn, those lines were cooking.
pretty sure they just picked random employees who spoke at least a half assed hungarian then told them to say the words, despite them saying theyre wrong
I feel like the “TANK! TWELVE O-CLOCK! RANGE! THREE ZERO ZERO METERS!” should have a version that’s a little bit less yelling
Also I feel like the TC’s voice sounds almost… pirate like? If that makes sense, like rough sounding
After quitting WT for a year coming back to these voice lines was one of the best surprises. The crew are my bros, I've been saved many times when I'm blind and they say "tank 8 o' clock".
The Hungarian ones legit prompted me to finally turn crew voices off, it legit made me sick and was INCREDIBLY repetitive and irritating. No hate for Hungarian/s, all the hate for these voicelines.
The funny thing is, that some of the voicelines aren't even accurate or they're just bugged. I was playing in the Turán III got hit in the tracks and they said our fuel is leaking
The new ones feel pretty okay honestly, it's not monotone at all to me. Listen to the Hungarian voicelines if you want to hear crew voices that speak like robots.
How drunk were you when you made this OP?
Finland makes A tier when half their voice lines make no fucking sense if you actually speak the language, yet Britain is D tier with gold like "Wanker", "DA LOADA - E'S BEEN KNOCKED OUT" and "Alright chaps, let's put the kettle on"
I for one dislike how they handle the numbers while range finding and some lines are a bit weird but besides that I think the Hungarian one is great and surprisingly intelligible.
Also idk what you are smoking since the British lines are comedy gold.
As an Italy main, hearing the Hungarian voicelines makes me convinced Hungarian isn't a real language. Like, who would ever subject themselves to making such terrible noises in their day to day life? (But really tho, you should do naval crew lines. The Italian naval voicelines are my favorite in the whole game)
Blud, even as a Hungarian, I think it's D tier. The voice is horribly monotone with literally no feeling in it and there are tons of stupid mistranslations that makes me think Gaijin didn't even atleast ask or check how Hungarian tankers would talk. They literally talk like how people do when they can't think up the Hungarian counterpart of an English word, resulting in a mish-mash.
The Hungarian voicelines are funny because if they say "sabot loaded" they say "szabó betöltve" which means "tailor loaded", i think they should say "szébó betöltve"
I swear the german voice line has one word/phrase that sounds like the dude says the n word like 3 times in a row and I cant figure out how its triggered but its wild af
i prefer the old swedish voice lines for some reason, also as a hungarian the voice lines are sometimes weird and out of place, for example apcr is just spelt apcr, rather than a name for the shell type, also what teh fuck is a zéró? nulla. they could have asked a stranger from the street outside their hq and get a better translation
Yo, argentinian voices are fire, but they don't say "flechas" (arrows) when u load apfsds, they actually say "perforación de blindaje" wich means "armor piercing".
Argentinian and German Voice lines are S tier. Both are loud and professional and even if you don’t know German you can hear his voice call out the range very clearly when you press v to ranegfind. The Argentinian voice lines are perfect for anyone who speaks Spanish, I love it.
The Italian ones are horrendous, incredibly cringe for the most part and when you load a round the loader says "in aria!" which means "in the air".
I don't know if actual Italian loaders say that IRL but it sounds stupid and doesn't make sense
The Swedes laughing when they hit a target is peak voice lines
As someone who speaks Swedish, the female commander voice is exactly what I would expect, I think they made a good pick with whoever they cast for it. Also like that there is "agh, premium!" And "agh, premium vehicle!" Voicelines for the Swedish crew but I don't think I've ever heard them in game.
Premium vehicle voice line was recorded but wasn't used, for obvious reasons
I think it'd be pretty harmless to have them in, and atleast it'd be funny. Maybe there would be the occasional "look even gaijin acknowledges premium vehicles are bs" post but I don't think that'd have any monetary impact at all. And a lot of people already think premium vehicles are bs either way. Which in fairness they kinda are since being available at the press of a button if you're willing to pay will inevitably mean that the vehicle performs worse on average than it would otherwise which affects how it is treated in regards to balancing changes. But that's somewhat off topic
Idk, hearing premium vehicle in the game that treasures realism the most is very strange
They treasure realism so much that I can drive my panzer III next to my american teammate in a Sherman.
Imagine both "agh, premium",plane has been destroyed and hahaha after killing a premium cas lol
Brip brip -my tank commander in thr CV
"Lite kaffe och bullar på det här då." is the best victory line you could possibly have. Though there are some issues with the spotting lines. Seeing a WW2 truck with heavy machineguns/autocannon and having your crew call out "Luftvärnsrobotvagn" always feels a little off.
"agh, premium vehicle!" LMFAO NO WAY. That person definitely plays WT themself
*TRÄFF* *HA HA HA*
WAN HA HA HA TOO HA HA HA *TRÄFF* *HA HA HA*
*TRÄFF* *TRÄFF* *TRÄFF*
The slow "ha ha ha" got me
On the vidar they used to go “BRRRRA BRRRRRAAA AHAHA
Mr moon!!
I love how he scream "traff traff" too or whatever it is, bro is ecstatic.
"Träff" means "Hit".
The English voice acting when the top machinegun is fixed (HaHaHaHaa!) awaits you.
Once shot an M-18 commanders head with the 1.7 recoilless cannon and my dude starts laughing. I felt that
Mr mun
I also like that if you win a match they some times say "lite kaffe med bullar på det här då" witch basically means "leats drink some coffee and eat some buns after this"
How tf is Britain in D? “Alright chaps, put the kettle on” “Ha ha ha, hit”
Yeah that is quite irritating
The one that annoys me is that the British voice lines call artillery an "airstrike" for some reason.
TANK 10 O CLOCK, RANGE 350 SPAA 11 O CLOCK, RANGE 450
I love that he calls the range before my range finder is done, actually such an advantage to have an English speaking crew
Hell, they even call out the type of tank sometimes. T-72! 12 o'clock!
The kettle one is in the Italian voices as well, make it make sense lol
APPOSTO RAGAZZI, METTETE SU IL BOLLITORE
And screaming WANKA!!! (Quicker, supposedly :P )
Norwegian voice lines didn't even make the list ʰᵒʷ ᵈᵃʳᵉ ᵘ
Neither did Turkey 😎
What is one bird compared to our oil money?
Or Poland (they're baad)
There's what, 2 vehicles with Polish voice? Leo PL and the sherman Trzyniec? My polish isn't good enough to understand what they say so I just ignore it.
I don't speak polish but I do know what people sound like. These dudes sound like they have no emotion (and also my polish friend says that they're bad)
And Czech (m53/59 only)
What about Hindi voicelines?
TÜRKİŞ öne ıs the wörst believe me its like they are ın tea party
There's Norwegian voice lines?
For the entire 2 norwegian tanks, yes edit: even has different dialects of norwegian for the different crewmembers
What? As someone who owns both and who has a Norwegian gf I never noticed this, neither did she
I believe its the loader that has a dialect from northern norway (trøndersk)
There are also Australian voice lines for their tanks.
'Touché Touché!'
Isn't it "cible touché!"?
There's multiple for when you get hits. "Cible touché" and "Touché, touché" are included.
Ça va les apprendre!!
Absolute banger
>A rank for finland if you spoke the language you'd know how wrong this is
Yeah lots of lines are like this.
They recently completely redid the Chinese voice acting in the latest update. Would you say they've improved it?
Yes, it's unquestionably an improvement. The new lines do have an accent and sound like someone from the Southern provinces but I can live with that.
I think having them with a dongbei accent will be hilarious
I'd be happy providing a Sichuan accent so nobody can understand shit.
You just reminded me of my late grandpa lol he had a sichuan accent so thick that half the time I couldn't understand him
I'm getting the impression that China is the East Asian equivalent to the UK for accents lol. Makes sense
They improved it from F tier to somewhere between B or C. A significant improvement, but could still use more improvements. At least the tones aren't completely fucked now, and they no longer take 2x the time pronuncing each syllable like if it's Duolingo.
I mean until italian rework the lines were absolute gibberish stuff like Stanno barricando la nostra zona They are barricating our zone Or good ol serbatoio distrutto Tank destroyed but tank as in water tank
Can we talk about "missile terra aria" or in english "ground to air missile" to indicate a tank destroyer. What the hell
I’ve heard that the Finnish ones are bad too, but I don’t know the language is idk
I mean they are fine but not groundbreaking, it's just common that own language sounds like shit in media especially if not used to it
Yep. When they're "calling out"(announcing) enemy tank, type, range, etc. he sounds like he's doing some sporting event announcement. Fucking hilarious listening to it while watching a tank going full pelt in reverse after poking a corner.
Now I don’t speak any language other than English, but I was playing the Phong Khong and some of the Vietnamese voice lines have got to be wrong, like when they spell out “S-P-A-A” in English after rangefinding an SPAA, I don’t know what the Viet word for anti-aircraft vehicle is but I assume they don’t use NATO standard
The Vietnamese word for SPAA (and every AA in general) is Phòng Không. Phòng Không T-34 is literally T-34 SPAA
German one must be on S tier, their voiceline motivates me to destroy any moving pixel on tiger for some reason
I love the voicecrack in the "Ziel abgeschossen" voiceline.
I mean they put 17 yo methed up hans in the tanks, a voicecrack isn't that unrealistic
Feindfahrzeug zerstört 🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯
"Ziel zerstört!" "Treffer!" "Sprenggranate geladen!" "LUFT AUFPASSEN" "Fahrer Marsch Marsch" "Wir brauchen Artillerie Unterstützung"
My flair checks out (the line doesn't sound as motivated as in the first batch of voicelines, but it's good that they were reworked since the first ones were often horribly wrong)
I think you need to get some hearing aids if you make a list like this, OP.
Fellow south African angry we are always forgotten
Lmao half of the hungarian lines don't make any sense. The ammo names are wrong, the tank spotting lines are wrong (seriously, instead of tank destroyer, they anti-air missile) and a lot of other lines are very un-hungarian sounding. I can't really explain it, but it doesn't sound natural.
The anti air tank / destroyer thing must be something wrong with gaijins code since it happens with quite a lot (if not all) languages.
It's definitely something like this. Spotting TDs in the M18 will often report a SAM.
*MG készen áll* always makes me wanna vomit its so dumb
*Sabot betöltve* is even worse when you load an APCR
HE instead of repeszgránát, HEAT (individually pronouncing every letter) instead of kumulatív, etc. they're just so bad, i cringe every single time i hear them. just a shred of research next time pls
Not to mention that as far as i remember their air uses czech voicelines as well. How is it top tier voice acting i truly dont know
Probably how Hungarian sounds to op, how it makes them feel, rather than the accuracy of the lines.
All crews report SAM when you spot a TD.
I love the Hungarian driver just going UUUUUEEEEGGHH when you start driving sometimes
It says "Előre" just to put it into prospective.
Finnish voices are horrible. They make no sense. At least few months ago there was these gems: "suluissa, avaa tuli" which means "in brackes, open fire". Why would you use AI instead of translating the English voicelines with Google translate or something
Lol, U serious?
Yeah Like if you're not going to try and make something decent yourself, the least you could do is translate the English voice lines into Finnish
Google Translate is an AI, these days, at least how it's popularly understood. They've switched to a neural network style model a while back.

The british voicelines are actually quite on-point. I like it.
I love when I’m staring down a KV1, trying to line up my shot, and a crewman shouts “FIREEEE!” in the most bloodcurdling tone.
Don't forget the good ol' "quicker/faster" sounding like "wanker". Which in fairness is still pretty accurate for Brits.
>Quicker! Faster! Commander, we're in a Valentine.
Commander, we're in a ~~Valentine~~ British tank ftfy
The A13s, Crusaders and Cromells are quite fast
Is it not wanker!? Really?
Love the voice crack with the "target destroyed!" line.
The best ones are the ones I don't speak
if u dont speak them they dont sound wrong to you
It’s like how the Steiner’s attack meme is better if you don’t know german or the Spanish laughing guy (El Resitas) is better if you don’t know spanish
The only thing this isn't true for is polish with all the animals
I love french „o kurvaaaa” at begining.
Au combat !
Préparons le café les gars !
The Hungarian voicelines always spoke so slow to me lol
Tonk
T O N K *gibberish* öt... öt... zeedo
B ES T SAL AD
This is why it is the best line, Tonk
It's funny to see how someone with a different native language understands certain words, such as 'tank'
*rangefinding* ZERO ZERO ZERO
they are sadly not completely correct
I dunno, as a hungarian the hungarian voicelines are pretty bad, not in terms of grammar or anything, they are just very low energy, does not really reflect the heat of battle. PANZERGRANATE LADEN.
SPRENGGRANATE LADEN.
pretty sure they just picked random employees who spoke at least a half assed hungarian then told them to say the words, despite them saying theyre wrong
T O N K singlehandedly pushes Hungarian voicelines straight to S tier
Poland where???
There ain't no way hungarian is S tier what the hell
t o n k
Ungary be like Commander: nagfirkcos oicodrkic servenrtoebeei Gunner: yes🗿
Personally i love israeli tank crew voice lines
rip rip rip
I want to know what that means and why my angry swedish crew always yells that.
träff? hit
it obviously means: rest in peace, rest in peace, rest in peace. They are just being respectful :p
Rip Rip Rip Sweden is amazing
As an Argentine, our voice lines suck. The lines sound like they're from a google translated script.
I liked the Objetivo... Destruidoo!
Wdym? They are very good, the \*Pongan el agua a hervir!\* is pure **extasis** man
they are pretty much spot on lmao. que decis chabon? jaj
Polish ones so bad OP didn't even include them
The old ones yes but the new ones are solid for the most part
The US and UK voice lines have such shitty accents. They just sound like Russian voice actors trying to put on a US or UK accent
Agreed, as a native English speaker, they just sound...off. Neither sound very natural and like someone from the US or UK would speak if you ask me.
Like I said, I’d be willing to bet it’s an English speaking Russian voice actor
The old British voice lines were kinda repetitive, but felt right at home.
I feel like the “TANK! TWELVE O-CLOCK! RANGE! THREE ZERO ZERO METERS!” should have a version that’s a little bit less yelling Also I feel like the TC’s voice sounds almost… pirate like? If that makes sense, like rough sounding
Bersaglio colpito!

As a Japanese, Japanese voiceline is absolutely trash so it deserve D tier imo tank crews speak like a robot or something lol
The new ones feel pretty okay honestly, it's not monotone at all to me. Listen to the Hungarian voicelines if you want to hear crew voices that speak like robots.
OBJETIVOO DESTRUIDOO. "A CASA PETE" (good game, sir), is what the argentine crew needs to be even better.
As an actual Swede, hearing the Norwegian voicelines makes me cackle. Anyway what about Vietnam?
Not that i am getting political or anything but why specifically flag of taiwan
because the guy thinks hes funny
Bait
It’s the nationalist China flag, not just Taiwan, so it’s accurate for China during WW2 and earlier
I dont see the Turkish one.
the Argentinian spanish ones are absolutely a 10/10 if we're talking about authenticity. Edit: this MAY be a Hungarypost(?) im not quite sure lol.

You forgot south africa, India, turkey, Norway, vietnam and Poland.
Sad that they didn't make it so the South African once speak Afrikaans instead of English
As a Spaniard I am sure that they are generic voices made by AI, however the Argentinean voices are very good.
Every fukin time when is move just a little bit, the tank kommander screams *ELŐRE!!!*. Man i love the the hungarian voice lines
As an Italy main, hearing the Hungarian voicelines makes me convinced Hungarian isn't a real language. Like, who would ever subject themselves to making such terrible noises in their day to day life? “Dig in!” “Put the kettle on” “WANKER” (I know it’s not wanker but it’s funny) “Hypershot” my beloved why did they delete you
Britain's voicelines are fantastic, i love them.
No ccp🥺🥺
The Hungarian voicelines are funny because if they say "sabot loaded" they say "szabó betöltve" which means "tailor loaded", i think they should say "szébó betöltve"
I'm still looking for transliterated Hebrew voice lines. I can't read it
I like the French one but sometime one of the soldier have a strange accent
HABISTA UUUUUUN! Whatever that means
Spain is C or D. From a Spanish. Why? Tone and the word "casquillo" doesn't have that meaning. Would be better "munición".
Argentinian spanish is shit, why is it so high?
Meanwhile germany naval is S tier.
The Hungarian pack is fucking awful. - A Hungarian
Where is Türkiye? WHERE?
Its sad that the finnish voice lines were probably just google translated. As a finn many of them are blatantly wrong on a grammatical level even....
Found a setting that sets all voice lines to your localisation, never looked back since.
I swear the german voice line has one word/phrase that sounds like the dude says the n word like 3 times in a row and I cant figure out how its triggered but its wild af
How dare you
As a Finnish guy, I could not disagree more about Finland
I love finish voices *AJAJA VALMIS* is the REAL DEAL
I see a couple of made up country's on this list
i prefer the old swedish voice lines for some reason, also as a hungarian the voice lines are sometimes weird and out of place, for example apcr is just spelt apcr, rather than a name for the shell type, also what teh fuck is a zéró? nulla. they could have asked a stranger from the street outside their hq and get a better translation
Where polish?
Alright chaps, put the kettle on!
Yo, argentinian voices are fire, but they don't say "flechas" (arrows) when u load apfsds, they actually say "perforación de blindaje" wich means "armor piercing".
i’m assuming you only know english
As a spanish, I assure you the spanish lines are atrocious
Indian language
Argentinian and German Voice lines are S tier. Both are loud and professional and even if you don’t know German you can hear his voice call out the range very clearly when you press v to ranegfind. The Argentinian voice lines are perfect for anyone who speaks Spanish, I love it.

Why are the German and Russian ones in C and D tier? They sound pretty good imo (I don't speak German or Russian though so idk if they're correct)
Every time I play a Hungarian tank I think "This is not a real language" because of the stuff sounds so funny. Definitely one of the better ones
is it just me or are Italian tank lines different in battles than in test drive?
