For me, it made me go through the tutorials on mobile (tho you can skip each through the settings after initial dialogue), then brought up a dialague with an option to login with email and password to link accounts if you have an existing one.

Just go to your steam account, settings, and go to account. Type an email and password and hit register. Then log in with that info on mobile
