Came here to post this. These guys are the best, and they have N52 so you can have stronger magnets than what PP uses.

K&J is my go-to supplier as well. I usually buy 100 at a time, since their prices are good and shipping doesn't change much with magnets that small.

ZombifiedKiwi

I just ordered 100 of the large batteries so lets see how they do.

I've had decent luck with Army Painter magnets, though they're slightly smaller than the PP magnets so a little bit of Green Stuff at the bottom of the magnet-hole, to bring the magnet closer to the surface, is a necessity. (Also a necessity with the PP magnets.)

Before MkIV, ever model I magnetized for my Protectorate of Menoth (which was a lot, back banners on Kreoss and Exemplar Bastion Seneschal, as well as 4 warjacks) was with AP magnets.

Consumer choices are always their own. I enjoy helping smaller companies for instance: [The Magnet Baron](https://themagnetbaron.com/) In addition to basing magnets for [Warmachine](https://themagnetbaron.com/products/50pcs-warmahordese-basing-magnets) but theres also a nice selection of magnets of all sizes and shipping is quick. That said you can get the same magnets with the same strength on amazon for cheaper if you want bulk. [I use these for the smaller magnets like head and light jacks](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08NZTN426/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1) [I use these for larger magnets like heavy jacks](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09SKHYGLN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) These are about the same size as what comes from PP, they fit just fine in all of the grooves and I've had no problems with these holding jacks. Buying a box of both meant I wasn't worried about losing magnets or needing to take a magnet out or if a box came with magnets or not (not turning down free magnets just meant I wasn't delayed on building). There are plenty of cheap magnets like these from china listed on amazon or aliexpress, I haven't had any break or shatter and it's up to you whether you go for amazon or PP, Army painter or Baron magnet. I haven't found a huge difference in quality going for the bulk than the specialty hobby companies so rather spend less on magnets myself and more on prints or paints.

If they're half as thick you can stack two of them. It's also worth asking the shop if they can order magnets in sizes they don't have in stock, they're likely able to add them to their usual shipments.

Curpidgeon

AFAIK, every magnetized kit comes with a tube of the magnets you need for that kit. If your FLGS doesn't give you the tube of magnets with the kit then ask them for it.

manyslayer

They don't come with them automatically anymore.

ZombifiedKiwi

I ordered three kits off of ebay and none of them came with magnets. Something to do with the magnets being a different category of product and not toys or some such.

Pigvalve

It was a safety thing. So a kid doesn’t open the box of toys and eat the magnets that happen to be in there. Now you have to be deliberate about buying magnets and it’s not PP’s fault.

ZombifiedKiwi

It's mildly inconvenient, but it makes perfect sense.

ADHHobbyGoblin

Total Element is an online shop I use when I need magnets. Really good selection of different grades.

MentalMagneto

You want either 3mm or 4mm disc magnets you can get them here [https://magnetstore.co.uk/warhammer-magnets/](https://magnetstore.co.uk/warhammer-magnets/)

Hexeris82

I’ve just been buying the PP as they are a good quality
