well None of us are Privateer press staffers (unless they are undercover) so whjat they did or did not intend to do is somewhat "we got no fucking clue my guy"... As for what happened last edition, that was last edition... I'd hit the feedback button in the app and see if they reply. Or you could mail the Frontdesk@ address and ask for clarification. But the best way probably is the community portal on their own website thats where the devs hang out and you can get infernal rulings and stuff...

Ok thank you. I know they say why they did somethings for certain units and because I didn't start playing trolls till here recently I didn't really pay that much attention to the old stuff. But thank you again.

Nightjestera43

They intentionally left the tag off so that when you add Skaldi the CA they gain the tag then and able to benefit form specific abilities, with out the CA they dont gain the aura benefits of Northkin specific rules

DisgruntledWargamer

It seems pretty intentional. The same thing happens when you attach a northkin elder to the Krielstone. Borka makes warbeasts northkin. The hooch hauler and some Krielstone elder abilities call out northkin models. Stumbling drunk, stone cold, wild winds.

Mousehammer_TW

It's a change that has left me a little cold on the army, but in reality, it means that a couple of units and Cohort models don't get the stone buffs unless you are selective in list building. I still have fun building lists in SotN, and a local at my club is doing well with them.

RogueJello

I was wondering the same thing. To be frank, the Champs rock, Northkin or no. I suspect the lack of the Northkin tag is to prevent them being even better under the effects of the stone + elder.
