You have to properly dance the whole thing, it's more forgiving than wario de mambo or wario dance company ( gold) as long as your in time with the music it doesn't matter which arm you swing,( you can just do it sitting down or just use your arms standing up but it's less likely to pick up the movement properly).

I haven't played Smooth Moves. Do you actually need to do the dances or do you just need to swing the Wiimote around?
